Not really feeling DC at #5 and CN at #8. Maybe it's just me.

That CN/DC score still absolutely baffles me.

Columbus North 18-14 the past three seasons. Waxed Decatur Central in Week 1 last year. Came within a touchdown of Franklin Central and Chatard. Many would claim that CN/DC later in the season would have produced a different result. Not picking on this team at all, just wonder how that resume puts them in the Top Ten in 6A. It's gotta be transfers. Either that or that publication is really struggling. No dog in the fight, let them have their time in the limelight. Love to see representation outside of Indy. Although Columbus is damn near a burb.

No dispute….yet. Preseason polls mean little, especially with players transferring. We will have a good gauge where teams stand after 3 weeks of play

Ben Davis 2023 was one of the best state championship teams ever to come out of BD. Offensively, they were just behind the 1991 and 2017 teams. Defensively, they weren't the juggernaut that some of the Dullaghan teams were, but they were certainly solid. That team excelled with senior leadership. Kevin Vanderbush listed those student leaders as some of the best he'd had in his tenure at BD. All that said, BD still barely made it to state with last-second stunners against Brownsburg, Cathedral and Center Grove. They were all sensational that year.

I personally met him at a game in 2022 he is not bad.. The fans at Merrillville kinda gravitate toward him. It’s like he is a super hero there 😂 he never sits still he is always running from one end of stands to the other because people call and text him all the time to come over there. When I saw him the kid had 3 phones and a tablet all pulled up on different games around the state. He lives and breathes high school football. He wants to be a real coach I think. But who knows. and yeah that rivalry does nothing for either team. But I mean no one else really has an opening for week 1 around the state. We will see what happens but I think it’s still gonna be here for a while

No one's finished the sequence yet..............1, 3, 5, __. Probably no clue what I'm referring to. Pike is trending up with Mike Brevard. And if they continue, that puts them at 7 wins this year. That's it really. No clue who they lost or who they have coming back. Darts.

I'd sneak Decatur Central in on that list. They bring back everyone from a 5A State Championship team. Multiple D1 kids. I would take them over 21-25 and probably a few others listed.

What do you see in Pike that I don’t? They did have their moments last year, especially early (beating Zionsville and Fishers) but I’m not sure I’d have them that high, particularly over Warren and LC.
