Bellmont at New Haven - New Haven by 28 Columbia City at East Noble - CC comes in undefeated against an East Noble team that has dropped 3 in a row. EN by 1. Dekalb at Norwell - Norwell is playing great, they found themselves down 17-0 and managed to make a great comeback last week against EN. Norwell by 28. Huntington North at Leo - Leo by 21

Concordia at Dwenger - Dwenger has too many weapons. Dwenger by 10. Luers at Northrop - Luers looked good against North, I could see this one going either way. Luers by 3 North Side at Homestead - North needs to get their defense figured out. Homestead by 14. Snider at Wayne - Upset special of the week. Wayne by 1. South Side at Carroll - Carroll by 42.

I thought they found that spark against Penn. Schupach with 5 hours notice was able to put up some impressive numbers at QB. I don't think many EN people want to relive 2007, losing to a winless CC in sectional is a tough way to end a season.

KJ Tippmann really impressed me against Carroll. Every time he touched the ball it seemed like he was breaking 3-4 tackles.

Huntington North at Dekalb Leo at Bellmont New Haven at Columbia City Norwell at East Noble Huntington North at Dekalb - I can see this game going either way. Huntington North by 7. Leo at Bellmont - Another shutout for the lions. Leo by 42. New Haven at Columbia City - Columbia City is overrated. New Haven is not very good, but they have played a tougher schedule so far. I'll take the Bulldogs by 1. Norwell at East Noble - East Noble is coming off their first shut out loss since losing to Cathedral in 2016 and Norwell is coming off a dominate win over New Haven. I don't think the EN offense is good enough to win this one. Norwell by 10.

Bellmont at Huntington North - Huntington North by 21 Columbia City at Dekalb - Dekalb's first game since week 1 and CC is rolling. CC by 35 East Noble at Leo - EN is looking to bounce back after a heart-breaker against Penn and Leo is coming off of a huge win over New Haven. Leo by 14. New Haven at Norwell - Norwell's defense is the difference maker. Norwell by 3.

North Side at Luers - North by as much as they want Northrop at Concordia - Northrop squeaks one out this week against the Cadets with a big night for Damarius Cowen. Northrop by 6. Wayne at South Side - Wayne by 14 Homestead at Snider - Homestead is starting to gain some traction while Snider has been inconsistent. Homestead by 21. Dwenger at Carroll - Huge game this week. Dwenger will be looking to bounce back this week, but Carroll's offensive weapons will be too much. Carroll by 14.

Conference play continues not starts... been a long week. Huntington North at Columbia City - Columbia City will have their hands full with the Vikings this week. HN by 3 Leo at New Haven - Leo is perhaps the best team in the NE8 this year, should be the best game on this list Friday. Leo by 7 Norwell at Bellmont - Norwell by 28 Penn at East Noble - Interesting match up here, a key player being injured hurts EN this week, but not sure it matters. Penn by 28.
-
NE8 Conference play starts this week apart from East Noble who replaced Dekalb with Penn. Should be some quality games this weekend. Huntington North at Columbia City Leo at New Haven Norwell at Bellmont Penn at East Noble

Carroll at Northrop - Carroll's offense is too much for the Bruins. Carroll by 21. Dwenger at Homestead - Homestead seems to be getting things figured out, but I dont't think it will be enough. Dwenger by 17. Luers at Concordia - Concordia missing their QB is going to hurt them. Luers by 7 Snider at South Side - Snider by 28 Wayne at North Side - Don't think Wayne can slow down the offense of Northside. Northside by 21
-
I expect Leo to beat Angola by at least 4 scores on Friday.

I have seen this name tossed out before, how about KC Woods from Danville? He has had a lot of success with the Warriors, could he bring that success to the 6A level? -
I just think EM's defense did what nobody else was able to do, make someone other than Parker beat them. Overall EN's offense looked really bad, they were being dominated up front making it nearly impossible to have any time to throw the ball. The turnover's also did not help. They escaped semi state with 6 and making the same mistakes again was a recipe for disaster in the state game. EM definitely was the more physical team, congrats to the Tiger's on the win!

Great football player, and from what I have heard an even better role model. His parents should definitely be proud of him. Hobart was able to get a lot of pressure on him and he took a lot of hits. He was still able to put up some impressive numbers, but that pressure definitely caused some of the mistakes for EN.
-
You definitely have to think there will be some nerves from EN. For Memorial to make it to state again after moving up a class just shows how great their program is. EN cannot let nerves get the best of them and let the first quarter get out of hand. They especially cannot bring the turnover bug they caught in Semi State to LOS.

East Noble cannot afford to make as many mistakes as they did against Hobart. To turn the ball over 5 times and have a punt blocked deep in your own territory and still be competitive let alone win is impressive. Friday was one of the most exciting football games I have ever been to, and I expect Saturday to be just as exciting. East Noble's offense has been putting up numbers all year, they nearly doubled Hobart's yardage even with the aforementioned turnovers. I think this goes without saying, but EN owes a lot to their defense. I don't know much about Memorial, so hopefully their fans can give some insight on players to watch other than Mr Combs. I know the defense is good, but is the offense good enough to score on EN's defense? East Noble 35 Memorial 14
