  1. All he does is whine about how bad Dwenger is every year, don't take it too seriously.
  2. Bellmont @ Norwell - Norwell by 28. Columbia City @ Huntington North - Was not impressed by HN last week at EN. CC by 35 East Noble @ Dekalb - EN's offense is on another level right now, but the defense showed some holes last week. EN by 40 New Haven @ Leo - Even if everyone for New Haven is healthy it won't matter. Leo by 35. No Leo won't show or do anything special against New Haven. Look for some fake punts, or double pass plays against EN to try to catch them off-guard. If history stays consistent EN will give up at least one big play to some sort of trick play.
  3. Concordia at Luers North Side at Wayne Northrop at Carroll South Side at Snider Homestead at Dwenger
  4. Luers definitely can make this a game against Homestead. I wouldn't be shocked to see them get the win on Friday.
  5. Columbia City @ Bellmont - CC takes it easily. CC by 35 Dekalb @ New Haven - Not sure the read on either of these teams this year, I'll take New Haven by 7. Huntington North @ East Noble - East Noble will be coming into this game with only 2 days of practice after being shutdown by Covid. I think the run game is too strong. EN by 14. Leo @ Norwell - Leo's run game is on another level at the moment. Norwell will be the best team they've played this year, but they won't slow down. Leo by 35.
  6. Carroll at North Side Dwenger at South Side Luers at Homestead Snider at Concordia Wayne at Northrop Wouldn't be surprised to see another shootout between Carroll and North Side.
  7. As others have stated its not an injury, but covid related.
  8. Apparently Jeff Becker will not be playing tonight. Shouldn't be too much of a game anymore unfortunately.
  9. After week 1 it seems sectional 11 could be more competitive than I initially thought.
  10. I was a bit skeptical coming into the season since they have a new head coach, but they seem to have picked up right where they left off last year. Brashawn Bassett impressed me as well, helped by bringing back 4 of their top receivers from last year. Teams that aren't particularly good in the secondary could be in for some long Friday nights against the Legends.
  11. Carroll at Snider - Snider by 14 Concordia at Homestead - Homestead by 24 North Side at Bishop Dwenger - North by 1 Northrop at South Side - Northrop by 28 Wayne at Bishop Luers - Luers by 28
  12. Adams Central @ Bellmont -- AC by 14 - Bellmont looking to get things back on track this year, but AC is always tough. Angola @ Dekalb -- Dekalb by 14 - Dekalb missed a ton of games last season, but should be in the top half of the NE8 this year. Col City @ Churubusco -- Col City by 28 - 4A vs 1A and busco isn't what they used to be. Bolt has a huge night. EN @ Plymouth -- EN by 14 - Sophomore QB for EN who needs a confidence boost to start the year. Garrett @ New Haven -- New Haven by 28 - New Haven has a new coach and this should be a good tune up game for them. Huntington North @ Eastbrook -- HN by 7 - HN has been improving, they will test every team this year. Jennings County @ Norwell -- Norwell by 10 - Norwell lost a lot, but with the recent program success the kids should be buying in. Leo @ Woodlan -- Leo by as many as they want - Woodlan hasn't scored a point against Leo since 2014 and that trend probably continues.
  13. Really hoping he can put together a good squad at Wayne. If there is a year for them to beat Dwenger this might be it. Carroll should have made it an emphasis in the offseason to figure out something defensively. Luers will test their secondary and it's entirely possible we see a shootout. Carroll cannot afford to get into a shootout if they want to be taken seriously in 6A as a couple other poster have stated.
  14. Leo - Returns some great players and will be a tough out. Can't say I love their offense, but if Miller can grind it out on the ground and get Crawford the ball in space they will be tough to stop. Defensive line with Livingston and Allen will cause a lot of issues. East Noble - They being back some talented receivers and play makers, but the QB position is up in the air, but they return the entire OL. If they have someone who can get the ball in the hands of Zolman and Munson they will be a tough team to beat. Sadly I have to agree with this.
  15. They won the 4A state title in 2012.
  16. What does the talent look like in the upcoming classes? I know they have graduated a lot of very good players over the last few years.
  17. I think I agree with their top 3. I would put Homestead at 4 with LN very close behind them. Homestead has everything they need to succeed, they just need to prove themselves on a football field against an Indy team.
  18. I never said my opinion was superior. If it's my opinion wouldn't I support it just like you are supporting yours? Clearly you aren't going to listen to anything I have to say so I am done trying to justify anything to you. Good luck this year and I hope you can prove me wrong. If you ever want to discuss things further my privates messages are always open.
  19. Lol show me where I took a personal shot at you. I don't care I can take it, but as someone who is a leader in their schools tossing out insults like a child is a joke. I hope your prospective coaches see you making an ass out of yourself. Congratulations on the blue rings. How many of them were at New Haven which is what we're talking about? None of what I said is BS, you just didn't like it. I've defended my arguments, you just keep bringing up credentials and tossing insults and excuses. Back them up with facts, like the statistical facts I have provided for why your program is a middle of the pack average football program with so much potential.
  20. Insulting my intelligence without knowing anything about me? Aren't you supposed to be a role model for young kids? What lesson does this teach? This is disgraceful. They might be accurate but they are still excuses on why you couldn't win. You want my football success credentials? I have a blue ring and a red ring as a player and coach.
  21. This is about as productive as talking to a brick wall. "East Noble sees every week of film from us because they follow us most of the season. They also have a week off for Fall break. They are a bigger program; especially up front, and in many cases by about 50 lbs a person." This is an excuse by the way.
  22. Clearly you are passionate about the program which hopefully leads them in the right direction. Feel free to correct me if I missed a years where they tied for the conference title, if I missed something I can accept that. Ok so EN was the runner-up in 2017 and didn't have a challenge in the regular season. What about the other 16 times EN has beaten New Haven since 2000? What excuse do you have about dropping a playoff game to South Side? Make more excuses about being small, or they have every game, great teams can and have overcome both of those things. New Haven has overcome both of those things too. Instead of making excuses on the forum, hire a great coach and go out next season and prove me wrong.
  23. You said you have great coaches that work with the kids and get to know the kids. I never said you didn't have that, I never said anything bad any New Haven coach as a matter of fact. I said you need a great coach to get the kids to buy in which you do, a below average program needs all of those things unless you are happy going .500 or barely over. The truth hurts, I wouldn't expect you of all people to agree with me, but I have watched New Haven play at least once a year for the past 20 years and nothing has changed. You have had some excellent teams that fall short in the playoffs just like any other program, I simply stated it should be the norm to compete in the conference and the post season, not struggle to make any noise in both. If you really think nothing I stated is fact I suggest you take a look below and try to argue these facts. I said you need a great coach not that you have never had one. Fact. One conference title since 1994. 4-17 against East Noble since 2000 - 1-5 since the NE8 Again struggle to compete in the conference. New Haven cannot c Again I understand why you are defending the program, but please don't sit here and try to belittle me because you disagree with me. You want to argue credentials on what makes my opinion valid just because I'm not the athletic director, or apart of your program? If that is the case just shut the website down because people on here talk every day about programs they aren't directly involved in and things they see as fans of the game. I can say your program struggles to compete without being a part of it because they do. Past seasons show all of that is true.
  24. That's your opinion and I have mine. New Haven is consistently one of the most undisciplined teams in the NE8. New Haven has everything they need to succeed in a below average conference yet struggles to finish near the top every year. I'd appreciate if you actually had an argument for what I said being "the worst assessment of a program I have seen in a long time" because everything I stated is a fact, so sorry if it hurt your feelings.
