New Haven has the athletes to absolutely dominate the NE8 and make noise in the post season. They really need to get a quality coach and support staff who will work with the kids and get them to buy in. 4-17 against East Noble since 2000 - 1-5 since the NE8 3-3 against Leo since the inception of the NE8 Those numbers against the top 2 teams in the NE8 are embarrassing in my opinion. The right coach can turn this program around in a season or two.

Hard to argue with how nicely Angola would fit in the NE8 other than a couple long drives. I would have loved to see Angola's last couple regional teams play some NE8 competitive like EN or Leo. I don't think West Noble would be very competitive as @NEIFootballGuy stated above.

It's kind of crazy how nobody has pointed this out at all...

Angola is definitely a no brainer and would be a quality addition to the conference. Wouldn't be upset to see them replace Bellmont, I think it would increase competition in every sport except likely wrestling. If you're going with a 10th team I am having a hard time coming up with any team outside of the SAC. Northrop could be a nice addition, I don't think football wise they would be unbeatable by any team in the conference.

Wouldn't mind seeing Luers replace Woodlan on Leo's schedule.

Luers could compete some, if not most years with East Noble and Leo. I just don't see either team wanting to add a 2A school to the schedule. EN has a tendency to schedule up when adding new teams, examples: Warsaw, Penn, Mishawaka and Cathedral.

I mean nobody knows because it didn't happen. How do you know that Homestead wouldn't have learned so much that they mercy ruled Westfield in the first 10 minutes of the game? You asked how it would help Homestead and I answered. Snider, Homestead and Carroll would all fit fine on Westfield's schedule. I am sure you don't care about anyone besides Luers in the SAC which is fine, but please do some research.

They were the best team Homestead saw all season. Having the experience and knowing what to expect when you meet a team like that again is extremely valuable. Had they played in the regular season I think they would have kept the game much closer in the playoffs. Homestead has an amazing and dedicated coaching staff that would have put in the time to see weaknesses to exploit and their own weaknesses that were exploited against them. Westfield most likely would have won, but we would have actually had a game. There's a reason people say it's hard to beat a team twice.

This 100%. Carroll and Homestead were both good this year in terms of the SAC, but the Indy schools are just on a much higher level right now in 6A. Cathedral traveled to East Noble in 2016. I am sure they would play Carroll, Dwenger, Homestead or Snider. I don't think you'll necessarily get a big 4 from the MIC to schedule a game at the moment, but other MIC schools or schools in the HCC would definitely be a possibility. Roncalli and Chatard wouldn't be bad to play either for any team in the top half of the SAC.

I assume Snider will replace Anderson in Dwenger's sectional.

A SAC all-star team could compete. If I get some time I'll put together a nice roster for you.

I don't think he would actually transfer to Dwenger, and agree he would fit in much better at Luers or Snider. I fully expect him to remain at North Side, especially if they get a quality coach (he may also stay for basketball, I have no idea which sport he prefers.) I would love to see Luke Amstutz from East Noble in the SAC, but I don't see him leaving EN for North either.

Hopefully to Snider if he doesn't stay at North, but I wouldn't be surprised to see him wearing Navy and Gold... It's also spelled Brauntae 😉 He also plays Basketball so I wouldn't expect him to leave North in all honesty.

I don't see him jumping ship at Wayne after 1 year especially for North. Not sure how desirable the North job is especially with Dwenger looming in the sectional for who knows how long. Hopefully the Legends can get a great replacement to keep the momentum going from this year.

Big loss for North Side. Coach Brevard was really getting kids to believe in the program, hopefully they can get a quality hire.

They're also not in 6A which is what this thread is about.

Hard to judge some of these Luers teams. They don't see another 2A schools until the tournament starts and their sectional outside of Eastside is a joke.

I believe his injury was season ending. Hard to bet against a team that's made it to 3 straight state finals. Coach Pelley has done a fantastic job since taking over the program. Luers made some fantastic adjustments last week in a game that looked like it was going to get ugly. I am not sure they will be able to dig themselves out of a hole like that if it happens this week. Should be a great game between two great teams.

You might not have been included if you could come up with any rational arguments for things you've posted. Like I already said I'm sure you're a great person, I just disagree with 95% of the stuff you type on this website.

Every New Haven fan I have met including you thinks they (aka the football team) are the best thing since sliced bread.

You might want to go back and reread what I said. It was in reference to the New Haven football team and not the people from New Haven.

Dwenger will be fine, their numbers aren't declining. The person you are talking about would also like to see Dwenger play in 3A and has a horrible attitude whenever Dwenger has to play a quality opponent. Just imagine the comments if you applied the 2x multiplier and they were in 6A there would be contraction talks for the Dwenger football program

New Pal was definitely not a mega schools, but they have been damn good at football since 2013 😄

It will be interesting next year when the success factor puts them in the MAC. Could see an early season upset between them and Ball State..

Yes I am old enough to drink beer, but I don't live near Auburn unfortunately. I have no doubts you are a nice guy, I am most of the time as well. We just have differing opinions which is totally ok 😉
