  1. I’d give them a legit shot against 21-25 other than Reitz. Funny how you had them in your Top 25 last year and I was the one arguing against it then.
  2. Funny thing is both Sagarin and CalPreps have Lutheran well within the Top 25 all classes. Seems like someone can’t cope with a 1A school being in the Top 25 in the state.
  3. Good catch, can’t edit post at this point but game should be Valparaiso @ Crown Point.
  4. They put mid majors who dominate in the Top 25 of the AP polls in college. Same thing. Not hard to understand.
  5. If you’re ranking all the way up that high you might as well post Top 50. I’d be interested in seeing that.
  6. Think Indy Lutheran needs to be on here somewhere. Are they overall a Top 25 team? Maybe not, but I think the utter dominance they've shown deserves some recognition.

  8. Plainfield or Harrison would be who I’d predict. Think the Bloomington schools are pretenders.
  9. EC ain’t getting touched this year in 4A. Only victories teams will have against the Trojans are moral ones for not getting the running clock put on them.
  10. Agree 100%. I’ve seen CP play Portage and LC this year and they pretty much just won because the other teams have less depth on the lines and bad offenses. Unless CP blows out Valpo next week, I think they’re a definite pretender in 6A North. It’s very realistic that they get to Regionals having played only one good team the entire year, and I don’t know how you can say that sort of scheduling prepares you for deep playoff runs. The DAC is down this year and there’s nothing you can do about that, but that’s why you have to bolster the OOC scheduling.

  13. Speculating on the motivations of school boards seems pretty political to me.
  14. Exactly. Might as well take the helmets off baseball players in the batter’s box, because if you’re scared of getting hit in the head with the ball, don’t play a sport where someone throws a ball at you, right? Using logic and science here is pretty much useless it seems.
  15. Yes, no one is being forced to sign up for sports. Those who choose to sign up are being forced to play on surfaces that are not optimal for safety in the name of saving money and expedience for administrators. Pretty shameful if you ask me.
  16. Lol oh brother, so your stuff about the MIC never got political?
  17. Except they’ve done studies specifically focused on high school and found the exact same stuff: h
  18. You have Temp, you know it. I could name examples, but as much as I know you’d like to, I’m not really trying to argue about this right now.
  19. I think it's funny that all of the people who play the game at the highest level possible are in near-unanimous agreement that grass is easier on the body, while a bunch of guys sitting on their couches watching them go "Nuh-uh you're wrong!"

  21. I’ve heard the same thing. I believe Mt Carmel used to play Warren in the late 80s/early 90s. A guy can dream. East St Louis recruits the entire city of St Louis. They’ve gotten in trouble a few times over the years for doing so. I’m not sold on CP. Didn’t look good at all first half vs LC. If they beat up on Valpo like they’ve been doing everyone else then I’ll finally buy in. As of now I don’t think they’ll make it out of the Regional. Don’t think we can glean anything from the Moeller matchups other than EC will not be touched in 4A this year. I think this Top 25 is really accurate other than the Bloomington schools being on it. North beating South was more reflective of South being frauds than North actually being good. Think teams 19-25 all beat the Bloomington schools by 3+ TDs. Conference Indiana is not good.
  22. I don’t follow Michigan enough to speak on it, but I watched Mount Carmel and East St Louis play a couple weeks ago and I gotta say I’m not sure anyone in Indiana this year could beat either of them. Would love to see some MIC/HCC vs Catholic League Blue matchups in the near future.
  23. LOL pot calling the kettle black right here.
