  1. Lebanon is growing yes. And certainly has lots of potential as it is a sports community. They would need to show they could belong first. They have struggled in athletics recently.
  2. I am and have always been someone who believes conferences should be based off of location and drive time. I have posted my opinions and stances and proposals of other conferences in other threads. The NCC has history, but these distances of schools are very long.
  3. I still cannot believe Tech is in this conference. Tech needs to make the move to conference Indiana.
  4. Never a waste of money or space when a school system has a chance to better their school and athletics. A new stadium is awesome for a community. If you have the chance to get something new and big then do so.
  5. Still waiting on these official numbers. I really expected them to be released by the end of January. Any new word on the enrollments? I'm getting too anxious to see classifications and sectional alignments.
  6. Noblesville. Big school, great facilities, good kids. I never understand why they can’t compete at a high level in football.
  7. Martinsville has always been red and blue, but wore Gold pants. Red helmets, red jerseys, gold pants.
  8. With Mooresville and Plainfield leaving the Mid-State, Bloomington North and Bloomington South could then jump in to those 2 openings. They would fit into that conference nicely. However, I like Mooresville in the Mid-State. Shoot, I like all the teams that are in the Mid-State right now. It is a good conference.
  9. Looking forward to having the Enrollment numbers released.
  10. CG should be playing Roncalli yes I agree. Both schools are close in miles and many of the same kids. Roncalli will not schedule CG I don't think. It used to be a great rivalry with awesome crowds.
  11. Why would you want to get rid of an already classic Indiana matchup with CG and Cathedral?
  12. Not a bad idea. Similar to a Thread a started a few days ago.
  13. Whiteland Lawrence North looks like will play week 2. Interesting matchup.
  14. So with lots of threads lately about new conferences and realignment, I figured I would do one that could help make the MIC/HCC more fun and bring in a couple of Conference Indiana teams. It would help incorporate all the larger central Indiana schools into conferences that would provide less travel and provide good matchups. Here we go: The teams that will be placed in these will be all 16 schools that are in the MIC and HCC right now. Along with Southport and Columbus North (I know DT will be happy that I add them). All 18 schools will be placed into 3 conferences with 6 teams in each. They will be placed by location to allow less travel. Now each school will play 5 conference games by playing each of the conference opponents. And then they will be able to play 4 non conference games to still get the big time matchups that we all know and love. I did not create names of the conferences yet, I have simply just named them off of their geographical locations. North Metro: Carmel, Westfield, North central, Noblesville, HSE, Fishers West: Ben Davis, Brownsburg, Avon, Pike, Zionsville, Southport East: Warren Central, Lawrence North, Lawrence Central, Franklin Central, Center Grove, Columbus North Again, each of those are their own conferences. But with only 5 conference games, it gives teams plenty of opportunities to still play other matchups. Especially like the ones we all know and love (CG vs Carmel, WC vs BD, etc.) Example schedule: Center Grove (EAST)- vs Cathedral vs Pike vs Carmel vs Ben Davis vs Franklin central (conference) vs LN (conference) vs LC (conference) vs Columbus North (conference) vs Warren (conference) Something fun to think about for sure. I think it helps keep the big schools together but allowing multiple conferences that are better on travel. Plus it still gives the matchups we all want every year with having 4 non conference games. And this gives Southport and Columbus North places to go as Conference Indiana could be down a path of extinction. Thoughts?
  15. Any word or news yet on the Warren Central head job? Have to think they want to hire somebody quickly to get the off-season workouts going.
  16. I would enjoy that. Play 2 games on Friday night and 3 or 4 on Saturday. I would like to see mainly Indiana schools though.
  17. Some head scratchers on there hahaha. Congrats though to all
  18. I really firmly believe that Warren will hire within. It will be someone that is on staff already.
  19. No Carmel? Also, I miss the old days of Cathedral vs Warren. Always exciting matchups. I really wish we could all see some of those games instead of the Cincy area teams. Not that those are not great matchups. I just prefer seeing the Indiana teams battle it out.
  20. Are there any confirmed new Regular season matchups for next season? Trying to get excited about some new teams on schedules and big time nonconference matchups. Post them here.
