  1. Most recently they have not been in the same sectional either. IHSAA divides it up not strictly from South/North. You have to look at the overall view. I also gave another possible way to divide it up as well that had those 3 schools together.
  2. Could also see 6A South aligned like this: Sectional 5: Carmel, North central, LN, LC Sectional 6: Warren, Tech, Franklin Central, Columbus North Sectional 7: Pike, Brownsburg, Avon, Zionsville Sectional 8: Ben Davis, Southport, Perry, CG
  3. There was serious consideration and talks about 4 years ago or so about a new conference forming with Southport, Perry, FRanklin Central, New Pal. Those were the schools who were attempting to get something started. Not sure how serious or how far along they got. Franklin Central then joined the HCC and it pretty much ended all talks or plans of this.
  4. Oh I 100% agree that Perry and Southport should be in the same conference.
  5. I would bet this: sectional 1: Crown Point, Lake Central, Merrillville, Hammond Central Sectional 2: Chesterton, Elkhart, Penn, Portage Sectional 3: FW Carroll, Homestead, Warsaw, Lafayette Jeff (Jeff is a tricky one to position) Sectional 4: Noblesville, Westfield, HSE, Fishers Sectional 5: Pike, Zionsville, Brownsburg, Avon Sectional 6: Ben Davis, Perry Meridian, Southport, Tech Sectional 7: Carmel, North Central, Lawrence North, Lawrence Central Sectional 8: Warren central, Franklin Central, Center Grove, Columbus North
  6. However, Decatur would never leave Mid-State. Or Perry probably either. I would be fine with 9. I don't think that is too big of an issue.
  7. This is what I believe it should be. I'd put BHSN in Mid-State though. Keep them with BHSS.
  8. Perry Meridian is the outlier for sure, but I do think it works as some of the Mid-State schools are growing. Not all but some. Geographically the conference is great. And I am someone who believes conferences should be aligned with location.
  9. I think a possible new conference would have to be formed. One of my favorite conferences right now is the Mid-State. So obviously that would be one where these schools would be looking.
  10. With those teams who we speculate to move up to 6A, it definitely creates a couple of different sectional alignments, For the South anyway.
  11. Yes that would make sense to me. I forgot they were freezing enrollment from previous. Still not sure why the classes cannot be released yet. What more is there to discuss?
  12. Mid-State would be a nice fit for sure. But still, no need to leave. I agree.
  13. Why would they want to leave? They win every year. Kids are happy, parents are happy. They make long playoff runs. Have been in state finals and won state championships. What is wrong with where they are at? I would always stay if I am East.
  14. From what I have read and heard from different sources is that in 6A Columbus East and FW Snider will be dropping down because of Success Factor. This has been made clear. The next 2 teams to fill those spots would have to be who? Hammond Central? Zionsville? Jeffersonville? Does anybody have thoughts or info on which 2 schools will fill those voids in 6A for the upcoming season?
  15. Why not the Circle City? Or Conference Indiana ? Really they should be in a conference with Southport, Perry, Decatur Central. Obviously I know Decatur and Perry are happy in the Mid State.
  16. What is the difference between CG and columbus north enrollment? Maybe columbus needs to work to be able to compete.
  17. I guess you might as well start naming every team that hasn't made it in a long time. Valpo was in the 5 state finals 2 years ago and was in semi state last year anyway.
  18. I am still a firm believer in having 6A have 32 and 1A have 32. It would help for those incredibly small 1A teams with football. Now that would be fair. Then 5A can go back to around 64 teams.
  19. That won't be much fun to have a class of 16 teams. I wouldn't mind seeding the north and seeding the south. 16 and 16.
  20. Yes enrollment can be unfair for 6A, but at some point you can't do anything about it. I mean CG competes and beats Carmel and they have half the amount of students. I feel like at a certain point it does not matter. It is never going to be truly 100% fair. Same can go for anything in life. It won't be changed and it shouldn't be changed.
  21. It is what it is. Other schools have got to get better.
  22. That wasn’t my point. I’m just stating why it’s on my list as one of the worst. Nothing against you or the Avon Orioles. But that facility is by far the worst in the HCC. That has nothing to do with the solid football program Avon has though. Each school system is different in regards to money, size, ideas, etc.
  23. It is very small and old looking to me. I know the visitors stands pressbox is incredibly tiny if I remember right. I cannot imagine there is much room. Plus it is not very high off of the ground.
  24. Avon would fall under the Worst category for me. Saw a game there a few years back. Small stands and old pressbox. Especially for a school of that size in a conference with some really good facilities (Westfield, Brownsburg, Franklin Central, Zionsville etc.)
  25. Brownsburg would have to be on that list for a close third I think behind Westfield and CG. I also enjoy it because there is not a track. Noblesville in a couple years will have an outstanding new facility. I am interested to see that finished product.
