  1. I think another interesting dynamic is when the IHSAA releases what they are doing with the classes next year. If Cathedral and Zionsville move up as they should, as well with any other teams experiencing growth (Harrsion, Valpo, Jeffersonville, potentially Whiteland), who will go where in 6A? Which or if any will drop down? There will definitely have to be some movement in sectionals.
  2. Still curious as to how CG will be next year. But I am more curious on Westfield and the HCC. Any information on the HCC next year and how about Cathedral? Lots of ?'s this off season. I find it hard to believe CG will roll again and I think it can be anyone's this year for 6A.
  3. I think Columbus North will be interesting to see where they go. They are on the bubble of dropping down to 5A. Would definitely have a chance to make a tourney run.
  4. What a shame Zionsville's Tanona did not win OLine. I have never seen a kid dominate a game like him.
  5. If we wanted to add another element into this we could discuss the closure of Conference Indiana. This would affect the best 3 central Indiana conferences. Here is my take if this all happened in the future and what would be the best options best off of the schools. (Obviously I know this all would never happen, but I think it is fun to play around with): HCC- Westfield, Noblesville, Zionsville, Fishers, HSE, Brownsburg, Avon, Carmel, Center Grove. MIC- Warren Central, North Central, Ben Davis, Pike, Lawrence Central, Lawrence North, Franklin Central, Southport, Perry Meridian, Decatur Central. Mid-State- Greenwood, Whiteland, Franklin, Plainfield, Mooresville, Martinsville, Columbus North, Bloomington North, Bloomington South
  6. I think the MIC for sure would try and round up the rest of the township schools. Franklin Central for sure would be the best option, Southport and Perry will never join as they are so far behind athletically, Decatur Central is an intriguing one as they are a growing program in football and basketball. Would love to see the Hawks join however I don't see them wanting to leave the Mid State. Tech would be another option, but I also find it hard to believe them wanting to join. I think they should though. Cathedral would be a stretch, but it definitely would work. However as others have mentioned their facilities might hold them back as the MIC has some of the best facilities in the state. It will be within a couple to 3 years. Many excellent sources from AD's to principals have discussed this and it is on the horizon. However, these type of things don't happen in just half a year.
  7. Not much talk of this lately, but now that the season is over I wonder if these plans will pick back up. Any word on the Carmel and CG move to the HCC. I know obviously the MIC does not want them to leave.
  8. So there are no Cathedral players who are athletically motivated? Are we naive to think that?
  9. There is also quite a bit of difference to me when a kid actually moves into a district rather than driving and commuting to a school.
  10. I didn't say Cathedral or anybody cheated. I was just stating a kid did not play after game 4.
  11. One of those kids only played 3 and a half games. So really after game 4 he was not used at all.
  12. I believe they will be reclassifying. IHSAA stated it would use SF points from 2020 season and 2021 season.
  13. Whiteland will eventually work their way up to 6A as well. Enrollment is increasing on the southside. Eventually, 6A will be all Indy metro.
  14. 30 teams I mean. They will get back to 32 in the next reclassification.
  15. There were 32. I know Tech will have a dropped enrollment and expect them to bump down. Also, Jeffersonville is the same size as Columbus North. Merrillville has dropped too. Would love to see these numbers soon.
  16. With the season concluded, I am interested to see the new enrollments with the schools. The DOE numbers are still showing from last October 2020. I would like to see the new updated enrollments and start figuring out the schools moving up or down. Anyone know where these can be found at? Obviously the IHSAA has these because of them showing the enrollment sizes during the state finals this weekend.
  17. I would bet they would not fall into the same sectional. They would adjust the sectionals and create new ones. With Zionsville to 6A as well, there will definitely be some interesting sectionals put together this winter.
  18. For me, it is between 3 players: Brady Allen- Gibson Southern Caden Curry- Center Grove Micah Hauser- Westfield These are the clear cut favorites and would be fine if any one of them win. They put on performances all year long and put on shows at the State Finals this weekend.
  19. At some point it will have to be done though. CG and Warren have Week 2 openings in 2022. Merrillville should make this happen.
  20. Maybe the DAC needs to schedule some Indy schools in the regular season. I know the MIC teams are usually looking for opponents. This would only help them.
  21. Curry needs to be Mr. Football. Nobody is as dominant and as talented.
  22. This was something they started last year. However, when they announced the game times it was still 1,3,5 and 2,4,6. I would rather them just keep it how it is. No disrespect to other classes, but I just feel the biggest classes should end the night.
