  1. Upon further review, I noticed as I was leaving Sunday morning it was a Hampton Inn. I didn't make the reservations or pay for it, I just had an address texted to me that said here's your hotel, room is in your name. That coupled with the fact that there were a couple of cuties wandering around the bar at the Stacked Pickle offering free shots of Skrewball, I didn't really notice the name when we walked back to the hotel.
  2. Spent last night at the Wyndham in Westfield, apparently there’s a big soccer show case at Grand Park. You’ll be happy to know I saw many folks of Asian descent at the hotel, apparently paying for Grand Park supersedes the dangers of Corona Virus. I went ahead and drank copious amounts of Knob Creek rye, just to be on the safe side.
  3. I get what you're saying, more teams having meaningful games late in the year, instead of the usual 2-3 teams vying for that last playoff spot. But the bottom line is always money isn't it, more playoff ticket sales, more concessions, more advertising at the local venues, and of course the big ticket item, more TV $$$$.
  4. This to me is symbolic of the Bernie Bros culture, it's easy to take the woke high ground, until money and shiny things are dangled in front of you. https://theintercept.com/2020/02/13/bloomberg-spending-local-state-campaigns/
  5. First you have to know who has all those guns and where they are. I would assume when that process starts, there will be a huge increase in boating accidents.
  6. That would be illegal in most cases. I've fired a full auto Glock, I fail to see the point. It's a pretty simple process to make them full auto.
  7. I guess it depends on your definition of "engineering skill" Legal 80% builds have become so easy, you could add engineer to your resume DE. Of course if you're a prohibited possessor, then you'd be breaking the law. ***I know, I can't stand Lenny McGill either***
  8. 192-9/ pro-HS sure it's the same thing.
  9. How is government capable of determine the staffing requirements of every gas station in IL?
  10. You honestly expect me to say winning doesn't matter?
  11. I thought your deal was to do away with government schools and their associated sports programs?
  12. It's impossible to make 162 games relevant.
  13. Hold your mouse over your profile icon top right, scroll down to "ignore users" enter my name.
  14. I agree, I still think she plays a role in this. She's got to be going crazy watching this mess.
  15. I found it interesting that no one has heard from Tulsi Gabbard since she sued Hildog, and after Tom Steyer was lauded by the pundits of having a good debate Friday night, he barely beat her last night. Bloomberg is the wild card in this thing. I will admit that I have found this whole process interesting. I think it will take some twists and turns along the way. I think Bernie will ultimately have the support to win the nomination, but the D's won't allow it, he'll get screwed again. He is the Democrat's worst nightmare.
  16. I do know they've worked out a deal with Roncalli beginning in the pretty near future, possibly 21, I can't remember exactly. I know both schools have wanted to get this worked out for some time.
  17. I assume this is in response to the Bernie Bros prediction of violence after he gets screwed again!
  18. I'm not the one who made the Indy connection statement and no one has said anything about "cost savings". Nor do I care what conference they're in.
  19. I can't speak to that, I have no idea, nor have I talked to anyone in the know. Purely my opinion I would think it's a pretty good fit for them, a handful of competitive games, decent gates, some gimme's to get healed, and the flexibility to go play 3 non-conference games where ever they like. EC has never shied away from OH and KY schools.
  20. EIAC currently uses a 3A/4A split in Football, which doesn't bode well for adding an odd number. Currently eight schools all play each other, regardless of class, so seven conference games with two non-conference. The exception to that Rushville and East Central only play six conference games, obviously not playing each other. I'm not sure if this was a scheduling anomaly or what. Rushville's schedule doesn't look like it's changed since their first year in the conference, when they played EC week 1. There are a lot of traditional rivalries in the EIAC, obviously Rushville and Connersville being the outliers equation. I don't know what the conference by-laws require as far as playing conference FB games. EC has some non-conference traditional rivalries, Harrison and Roncalli come to mind, I'm not sure they'd be on board with adding a bad conference game and lose the gate for traditional rivals.
  21. Columbus HS, later North was a founding member, 1936, of the South Central Conference. At the time the conference included Greencastle, Connersville, Franklin, Martinsville, Rushville, and Shelbyville. Within a couple of years Greensburg, Indianapolis Washington, and Seymour joined. Washington left in pretty short order, like 3-4 years later. I'm not sure any of that qualifies as "Indy" connections, as I recall back in the day, there were clear distinctions as you headed up 31 between Franklin, Whiteland, Greenwood, and Indy. It's not like today when you get to Franklin, you're in Indy. Southport was added in 51 or so and left in the mid-60's. Bloomington HS, now BHSS, was added in 64. Center Grove entered in 91. When the SCC finally fell apart in 97, Columbus North left with several other current and former members to form Conference Indiana, a ten team conference. I'm assuming this is where the Indy connection comes in. It should be noted that several of those original 10 have moved on to greener pastures: DC, FC, PM, LC, Martinsville, and Pike. The lone "Indy connection" currently being Southport. CN has routinely been placed in the same sectional with CG however, several of those years the sectional consisting of CG, CN, Jeffersonville, and New Albany. In the grand scheme of things, I suppose it's a little bit faster for Columbus North to get to the interstate to head north than it is for Columbus East to get the interstate to head south.
