Not sure about the boundaries but with open enroll seems like kids go where they want. something odd happened at NH. They used to roll over most NE8 MIddle school teams. But their soph-7th classes couldn’t compete in either football or basketball. Like there was a mass exodus of athletes. I’m not plugged in there so m not in the know. Just see the results.

I’ve watched this program for the last 15-20 years. I will not comment on the previous coaching staff. Or maybe I just did. That said... new staff has been watching / pointing to this senior class since the coaching change in 2016. They’re a special group of young men. Program pivoted around them. Talent pool is solid for 3A 11-7th.

Watched a perfectly executed pop up kick off this weekend. Popped it up about 15 yards down field on the sideline. The coverage team actually had an opportunity to catch it in the air but let it hit the ground and covered it. My question is if they had caught the kickoff in the air would that have been ok or a penalty?

No. I’m saying the SOS and other ratings are jacked up if u play in a closed conference. Once the conference plays outside then the ratings correct. At least that is how I understand it.

No one in the SAC played outside their conference this season until last night so I believe SAC ratings were skewed until this morning.

NH didn’t really have any quality wins other than Pioneer which is a 1A school playing up I believe. Their jr class has some ball players but not much else. Would not surprise me to see some of those Jrs ending up on a SAC team next year.

By my count there were over 100 Indiana Hs football games that took place last night not counting the the 4 that will occur sat night. That’s over 200 teams participating. Thousands of families in the stands. Passionate families from what I saw last night. Thousands of memories. Some good... Some tears. That’s what it’s all about.

Thanks. The “bsb” was called “helmet to helmet” in the game which I didn’t see but either way I assume would been a 15 yard penalty.

2 questions: 1. Is there a “halo” rule for the punt receiver? Seemed like it was violated once in the bluffton Eastside game. RT retained possession so no harm no foul but just curious. 2. Gunner on the punt team must’ve been watching the ball / punt cause he wasn’t watching the blocker. Got decleated with a block (not blind side). Big hit. To me that is not a penalty as the block was not parallel to or towards the receiving team’s end zone.

I watched the Eastside Bluffton game tonight and left completely underwhelmed by Eastside. I don’t think they will be able to hang with Luers or Fairfield let alone Pioneer or Eastbrook. on a tangent... after watching Eastside I see trouble for Northern Lakes and Northeast Corner conferences as well as Adams Central in sectional.
