  1. Absolutely awesome piece of history. Thanks for sharing. Still love the story of the guy taking a break between innings of a baseball game to go run and win the 100 yard dash before returning to the baseball game.
  2. Had to know it was coming. Some interesting storylines entering next fall. 1. Can anyone outside of the SEC (plus OSU/Clemson) break through and win a national championship? 2. Does Cincinnati once again carry the torch for the group of 5 or does someone else emerge? 3. Playoff expansion? Where are we? Does Cincinnati's (and Michigan's for that matter) end it for the group of 5's chances? 4. Kelly at LSU, Riley at USC, Venables at USC, Freeman at ND are the four most intriguing coaching hires to me. How do they fare in year 1? 5. NIL/the transfer portal. So much to discuss in this ever evolving ordeal. A trio of publications have released their way too early top 25 rankings. Many familiar faces. https://www.cbssports.com/college-football/news/college-football-rankings-alabama-ohio-state-lead-way-too-early-top-25-ahead-of-2022-season/ https://www.espn.com/college-football/story/_/id/32999406/the-2022-way-too-early-college-football-top-25 https://www.sportingnews.com/us/ncaa-football/news/college-football-rankings-2022-alabama-georgia-ohio-state/1xwv347o8dach1qdlgvj0us3og
  3. Looking like its Michigan or Vegas for Harbaugh at this point. I'd place it at 80/20 he's returning to Ann Arbor if I had to guess.
  4. On to 2022!
  5. Maybe this will contribute to their bowl eligibility goals in 2022-23.
  6. I’ll always wonder “what if” he had kept his head screwed on straight in Knoxville.
  7. Still waiting for Texas to wake up. They have been a huge disappointment and joining the SEC is the next step to irrelevance (on the field) if things don’t change soon.
  8. He doesn't like the fact that it is now legal to do what he's been doing for decades and the playing field is about to change.
  9. Separate discussion and unrelated to the injuries last night to the Bama WR core, but whatever happened to football players wearing pads OVER their knees? Just seems like common sense to me but you see many of the skill position guys with their knees exposed in this era which is head scratching to me.
  10. People drank the kool-aid on that SEC title game a bit too easily. Not saying UGA laid down, but Bama knew they NEEDED to win that game to keep their season alive. UGA WANTED to win it.
  11. Great game. Neat to see UGA finally get over the hump. Just another reminder to me how it’s a different game in the southeast. The line of scrimmage battles were intense all night.
  12. Does Elmer Oliphant have any living relatives that are still local?
  13. “If the Bears only had a quarterback” has been the rallying cry of Bears fans for the entirety of my lifetime. Anyone wanna guess my age?
  14. Hate agreeing with this douche Doyel but he’s right here. I have wondered what this will do to the youth sports model in non-revenue sports. Why play tennis when I can make thousands playing football/basketball? A lot of potential failures.
  15. I agree, which is hilarious considering where he was 365 days ago...
  16. You baited me into an argument that I said I was going to avoid. Let's leave it at this. You make some valid points, I make some valid points. We can agree to disagree.
  17. 1. 59-20...anyone counting 2020 is a fool. That equates to roughly 9-3 every season which is where Michigan was/has been for its eternity. 2. Bowl games, outside of the NY6 are largely overrated when it comes to assessing a coach or program for obvious reasons. 3. The records against OSU and MSU are what they are and it is difficult to defend them though neither program is chopped liver and the argument could be made that both are at an all-time high point in their programs' history. NO PROGRAM has more "rivals" in America than Michigan (Minnesota, OSU, MSU, Notre Dame) so they will always get everyone's best shot. 4. Your argument about a QB is also hard to dispute but that's not what you said. You said he can't develop talent. There are plenty of other positions on the field and if I am not mistaken, only LSU, Alabama and Ohio State have more draft picks than Michigan since Harbaugh took over. (You may have to fact check me on that one as I don't have time as Notre Dame, Clemson and Georgia are also close, but UM is easily top 7 at worst.) I told you in my manifesto above why Harbaugh is entertaining his NFL options and why a guy who was supposedly washed up and on the chopping block 365 days ago is suddenly a hot name again. Its funny how that works.
  18. Once again. Not wasting my time. You can look up the facts. You are just recycling the same lazy narratives as the national pundits (who said he’d never come to Michigan to begin with back in 2015). Dig deeper.
  19. The next OSU quarterback that is successful in the NFL will be the first OSU quarterback that is successful in the NFL.
  20. Can’t name one off the top of my head.
  21. Goff, I’ll give you. Mac Jones was a relative unknown and has flourished for one reason…the organization he went to. And I think you mean JUSTIN Fields, and if so, this conversation is over. I don’t know if Wilson is a realistic target but I do stand firm by my statement that you’ve got to strike while the iron is hot. You’ve got a top 5 RB in the league. Get him a QB now.
  22. Still not buying Rutgers as taking the next step yet and Purdue losing its best two players to the draft and that game being IN Bloomington.
  23. So many false narratives to unpack here. Won’t waste my time.
  24. Knowing what we did then and not now and with who was available, who should the Colts have gone with over Wentz?
