  1. Nah, putting words in my mouth. I give Sherrone a C+ this year, woulda been a D had he not won in Columbus. Turned over the entire staff, played 5 top 25 teams (4 more than IU), replaced a legend and bombed on developing a QB. (To be fair, the rest of the country got a head start on the portal last year while Michigan was playing for a title.) Michigan and IU don’t even play next year but the 2025 Big Ten schedule was released this week. “Google it.” Good luck to the Hoosiers in their road games in Eugene, Happy Valley, and Iowa City. Things will return to normal in 2025.
  2. 1. I defended my Warren preseason ranking based on their returning talent (they had 6 players. in the IFCA top 50) but never had em higher than 3rd once the season progressed. 2. Michigan’s 4/5 star players were unfortunately saturated on one side of the ball. Their 5 star DB who will be a top 5 pick in April of 2025 didn’t play the last 7 weeks of the season and their schedule was brutal. 3. Never called Sherrone great. He called some great games and had some big wins as the acting head coach in 2023 but the jury is still out. If his first recruiting class is any indication, he will be just fine. (Including his stint as active coach last year, he still has 4 more ranked wins in FBS than Cignetti.) 3. Milroe is playing in the bowl game, DeBoer is a great coach. They will likely roll Michigan who has had all of their first round draftees, plus Donovan Edwards, opt out. Am I really gonna lose sleep over THE RELIAQUEST Bowl? Nah, it’s a glorified spring game as are all non playoff bowl games. 4. Notre Dame by double figures.
  3. So lemme ask this hypothetical. Does Travis Hunter win the Heisman last night if Colorado is 5-7?
  4. I’m not Vegas. Me too, but not Georgia, Missouri, LSU or South Carolina.
  5. Do I get to take everything into consideration, including schedule? Hindsight is 20/20. Only two programs (Colorado and Louisville) brought in more transfers than IU. All three had great bounce back years. Not a coincidence. Bama would crush IU. They played 4 teams better than the best team IU beat. Do they deserve to be in? No but that’s a separate argument.
  6. LOL, their basketball fans are still arrogant despite being mediocre consistently over the past 20 years… They didn’t have football fans 4 months ago. Experience matters.
  7. “Started with nothing.” (Checks notes…) Started with 31 transfers and 25 4th/5th year seniors.
  8. “Started with nothing.” (Checks notes.) 31 transfers and 25 4th/5th year seniors.
  9. Fans take on the personality of their coach and Cignetti’s arrogance is nauseating. I’ve said that since July.
  10. So lemme get this straight…you need to see more from DeBoer but have seen enough from Cignetti?
  11. Might wanna screen shot this one but I am actually rooting for ND in the upcoming playoff. The IU story is cute and all but I’ve never seen success, along with delusion, go to a fanbase’s head more quickly. The more I read this thread and listen to Cignetti talk, the more I talk myself into a double digit ND victory.
  12. Why the past 10 years? Also, Michigan has chosen to play the game now…look up the story about how they just signed the #1 player in America.
  13. Nah, I said what I said.
  14. 20th century Notre Dame Football: “We are the most prestigious program in America. We compete for national titles and boast 7 Heisman winners.” 21st century Notre Dame Football: “We are the most hated program in America. We have the most message board haters.” Shake down the Thunder
  15. You don’t trust the guy who has a much more talented roster and is 113-15 in his career as a head coach huh? The guy who took over a sub .500 Washington team and took them to the national championship. The guy who beat TEN ranked team (10 more than Cignetti I might add) in just two seasons in Seattle. Curt Cignetti’s biggest career win is over a rebuilding 7-5 Michigan team. And I get accused of having rose colored glasses.
  16. OSU should start worrying about conference titles first… Michigan has outscored OSU 130-84 since this proclamation.
  17. That’s not how Vegas works. FYI, Vegas has UGA as a 6.5 point favorite against IU in a potential neutral field matchup which is pretty close to what Sagarin says also. Sagarin has Bama around a 4 point favorite over IU on a neutral field.
  18. Can’t say I disagree but since you brought up Alabama, gimme a hypothetical point spread between IU and the Tide.
  19. Santa is bringing me a framed poster sized copy of this exact photo in a a couple of weeks.
  20. My point also stands. They had their chance to prove they were worthy and they fell flat on their face. “You only like the transitive property when it fits your narrative.” This phrase was uttered at me all fall. Your point would hold more water had we not seen IU and OSU on the field against one another and the Nebraska game was the main data point.
  21. PLENTY of media members scoffed at OSU’s non-conference schedule…same folks that did the same to Michigan’s in 2023. Say what you want but the one time that IU had a chance to prove the naysayers wrong, black beard and his army full of poisonous nuts ran them off the field. Flexing about beating Washington and Michigan? C’mon.
  22. Bob always chooses one Notre Dame player to obsess over…remember “the chosen one?”
  23. I believe that’s called tampering. Miami already doing it with the freshman WR at OSU. Just crazy to me that these discussions are taking place when teams are preparing for the playoff.
  24. Rumor I heard is that he is thinking of coming back and Texas said they wanna see what Manning has instead.
  25. Ok, ok. Twist my arm. This is the authority/gospel.
