  1. Center Grove @ Warren Central: Both teams breezed through their sectional with little sweat and face off yet again in the regional. The Trojans have owned this rivalry, winning 7 in a row. CG's schedule was absolutely brutal this fall so don't let the 4 losses fool you. Cathedral is the common opponent of the two as Warren squeezed by the Irish whereas CG lost a nail biting shoot out. Warren's defense is the best unit on the field and though their offense has improved, CG's balance on both sides of the ball along with their speed advantage makes me lean their way. They'll get the ball out quickly I would imagine, in order to negate the Warren defensive line. CG wins one on the road 31-17. Lawrence North @ Brownsburg: Can't wait for this matchup as one school is going to have an historic program changing win no matter what. I have been all over LN this year. Their speed and athleticism pops off the screen, but as I mentioned in another thread, they have some things (turnovers, penalties) to clean up. Brownsburg was revived from the dead last week after coming from 28 back to stun BD in a flip of last year's regional result. This is LN's biggest stage in a while and Brownsburg can change the narrative at home. I like LN on the road in a classic. 30-28 Wildcats. Westfield @ Fishers: This one will be closer than the regular season matchup but Westfield has shown no mercy as of late, winning their last 5 by an average of 35 points per game, including a 34 point win over Fishers. The Shamrocks seem like they are a freight train rolling down hill right now so I am sticking with them here. Westfield wins 37-27. What say you?
  2. LN's speed and weapons would be a nightmare for anyone but they are not above criticism. They've fallen victim to turnovers and were highly penalized at times also.
  3. Yet you pick Chatard by THREE? How many does Chatard have to win by in order for you to reward yourself with a Saturday morning victory lap?
  4. LOL… the topic was “what will happen to New Pal when they are punched in the mouth?” They were punched in the mouth in the game you referenced and then rattled off 47 points and lost in heartbreaking fashion. Just a data point is all.
  5. So their schedule didn’t matter in the second half/OT where they outscored Snider 47-22?
  6. Yeah, if you can point directly to SOS as to why they lost 64-61 in 2015, I am all ears. That game was nuts. We will find out soon if they were once in a generation. I tend to think you are right which is why its taken them time to get back to this level. They played the 2021 state championship squad from Cathedral as well as anyone (6A Westfield and Brownsburg included) and were competitive with Roncalli (eventual state runners up in OT) in the tournament in 2022.
  7. I’m also not convinced they can’t win it. You said “punched in the mouth” originally, nothing about SOS. In 2018, they beat CG/DC by a combined score of 59-23. In 2019, they beat Cathedral, CG and Valpo by a combined score of 90-39. I am not saying that this New Pal team is on par with those teams but they’ve heard this argument before…
  8. While you could be right, they weren’t punched in 2018 or 2019 either…and it didn’t matter.
  9. No, that’s not what I was insinuating but for some reason you are high on Crown Point (despite their schedule strength relative to the rest of 6A) while taking a dump on New Pal who actually has the second best schedule strength of the remaining 4A teams, lol. Also, New Pal averages 269 rushing yards per game. They throw the ball less than 15 times per game. If I should default to you on your area is it fair that I ask you to do the same for mine?
  10. But you like Crown Point’s schedule enough to rank them #2? 30 spot difference in Crown Point and New Pal’s schedule strength and both have eerily similar offensive/defensive point per game stats Now, in no way am I comparing the two head to head as I think Crown Point would win by multiple possessions, but I think you’re talking out of both sides of your mouth here because you want something to be true so badly.
  11. So we disagree significantly on New Pal, Snider and East Noble.
  12. Need to see your top 15.
  13. Sorry, edited above. You’ve trashed New Pal and Sagarin all year and then you predict a pick em game will result in a 3 point Chatard win.
  14. LOL. You’ve trashed New Pal and Sagarin all year and then you predict a pick em game will result in a 3 point Chatard win. I just can’t.
  15. It’s a six figure program.
  16. But at least they got that team from Arizona on the schedule as opposed to playing an Indy/Chicago powerhouse.
  17. You’ve got Chatard by how many?
  18. What’s your spread on a potential East Noble at Mishawaka matchup assuming both win this weekend? You’ve been high on the Cavemen in the past.
  19. LOL, bold prediction considering they are separated by 3 points on Sagarin…basically a pick em game when home field is accounted for. Have em separated by 3 spots in my poll. Now, if Chatard blows em out? Sure.
  20. So, can all agree that Snider should probably be “comfortably” in front of East Noble in any ranking system while also admitting that Carroll should be “comfortably” in front of Snider, yes? Can we at least come to that common ground? I have Carroll 9th, Snider 16th and East Noble 23rd. We’re splitting hairs here.
  21. You have been adamant all season that Sagarin is severely flawed and then wanna come in and cite it in an argument in which you are accusing me of picking and choosing when to use certain metrics when comparing teams. I like you man, but that’s rich as hell.
  22. Thanks for the heads up. When was it called/what was the score?
  23. Wait a second…NOW we are citing Sagarin? You are too much man.
