  1. Crown Point’s best win (Merrillville) is the equivalent of HSE’s (the 3rd/4th best team in the HCC) worst loss (Franklin Central). Merrillville and Franklin Central would be a pick em game in my opinion. Let that sink in.
  2. A tie. 1. Not holding a primary. 2. Attempting to elevate someone who did not make it past Iowa in the 2020 primaries. 3. The timing of the exit. 4. Ignoring the border for 3 1/2 years and then trying to slide across some sort of fake ass bill that had a bunch of aid for Ukraine and other fat to the border months before the election. 5. Consistently insulting Trump supporters as fascist, racist Nazis that are garbage. 6. Running on Trump‘s shortcomings as opposed to any real policies that you have that would differentiate you from the most recent party who had an approval rating of under 40% for the second half of their tenure. 7. Embracing identity politics. 8. Denying Biden’s cognitive ability despite what every person in America’s eyes and ears had told them for years. 9. The nightmarish Afghanistan withdrawal. 10. Insulting minority voters with the insinuation that they need the help of others in order to obtain voting rights and ID…then throwing in “legalizing weed.” Those are just off the top of my head for now, I’m sure I could list more if given time. And seems the media still hasn’t learned their lesson. They need to take a long hard look in the mirror or 2028 will be more of the same.
  3. Stop it. The transitive property works best when good teams are involved. Brownsburg was up 45-3 on Dwenger at the half…and could have scored 70 if they wanted to.
  4. Not saying they weren’t. Just not believing that speed was the difference maker in those games. I’m not penciling in Lawrence North in the state title game just yet because they have a tough road but I’m warning folks that if Crown Point does make it…this edition of Lawrence North is faster than last year’s Ben Davis team… Please stop. 1. You can’t blame people for having paws because the history of 5A/6A football in this state speaks for itself. We hear this November. Crown Point’s schedule strength was in the 50s when the tournament started so please stop with the fake disrespect. 2. If anyone from Crown Point is surfing this website for some sort of motivation, they’ve already lost.
  5. This is a fun exercise, but the problem lies in the fact that it’s the week to week grind of the HCC schedule that lends itself to 6-3. I mean, look at Fishers and Hamilton Southeastern. They got up for games against Brownsburg and then were beaten by Franklin Central. If you view each contest in a vacuum, I can get to 7-2 on Crown Point but there are no Portage, Lake Central or LaPorte teams in the HCC. If you haven’t learned this by now, I’m not sure what else I can tell you.
  6. Not sure you’ll convince me Crown Point has more speed than Merrillville, or even Valpo for that matter. You’re wrong every November about this it seems.
  7. I don’t. Dwenger was 6-6…not sure how the New Pal analogy fits.
  8. Print the t-shirts already if this is true.
  9. To be fair, Crown Point was 5-5 in year one under Buzea.
  10. Do I need to pull your preseason receipts on Dwenger? Why are they all of a sudden the gold standard/common denominator in this argument?
  11. Didn’t interpret it that way at all and like I said, it’s by no fault of Crown Point’s either. We’ve just heard for 2+ decades on that “this is the non-Indy team to break through.” And we are still waiting… Carroll and CP “broke through” at the semi state level and then got throttled a week later.
  12. We will see. So, you have CP by 14+ over Carroll in the other thread. Carroll has now defeated Snider twice, both by double digits. Snider defeated East Noble by 25. The only possible takeaways are, you have Crown Point taking home the state title in easy fashion or you have Carroll, Snider and East Noble all as top 10 teams.
  13. I mean, beating anyone by 35 points in a sectional title game is an accomplishment but I see your point. I often get labeled as a hater of the non-Indy teams on here when in reality it could not be any farther from the truth. If you go back and see my posting history from over the years, I have been BEGGING for parity in 6A. I still have a bit of pause on Crown Point but it is no fault of their own. Last year, their state finals run was a surprise…that won’t be the case this year. I still have em losing to Westfield by double figures but could see a scenario where they get by em. I’ve been bullish on LN since the summer but even I didn’t see this coming. I have prematurely labeled 2024 LN as “2023 BD lite” and we saw how that state finals game turned out. I think it was @BTF who went on last year about the advantage that speed provides indoors and he received quite a bit of pushback. I have one foot on board but with nearly all schools going to field turf in this day and age, I think the indoor element is negligible. LN has a lot of flaws but their speed is ridiculous and will be a nightmare for anyone they face.
  14. Absolutely. I just can’t get past losing to a fringe top 15 team by 25 points. I think I have East Noble placed perfectly, for now.
  15. You forgot one… Snider 35, East Noble 10
  16. Westfield is banged up.
  17. So, tough question if I may ask. In your unbiased opinion more so, did BD blow it or did Brownsburg earn it? Gotta pick one.
  18. Great post. As another poster insinuated, maybe this was what Brownsburg needed to turn the corner. At least that’s how I would be selling it in the locker room. Time will tell.

  21. Man, Memorial had the RB wide open in the flat on that 4th and 4…
  22. This rivalry never disappoints when it comes to choke jobs. INT, Brownsburg, should be game.
  23. 38-35 Brownsburg, under 1 minute
