As for McCarthy…kid is a winner. Posted in the other thread that he’s 63-3 as a starter since his sophomore year of high school. Might not have the skill set of Maye, Williams and Daniels but I think he’s not as much of a risk as the defending Heisman winner… Maybe not a day 1 starter but the combine may change that.

When Jim Harbaugh accepted the job in 2015 his stated goal was to return Michigan to national prominence… He did so, and then some, resulting in the ultimate prize. The competitor in him knows that his stock will never be higher, his brother has a Super Bowl title and it seems he is entertaining all options and who can blame him? Michigan will not be able to match NFL money but will his abrasive style earn him an NFL offer because he is going to have very specific demands? As a fan it would suck to lose him but I’d understand. Time will tell.

How long have you been a member of this site? Did you bring this same level of energy to all of the cheating programs in the southeast and at USC/Ohio State who were openly paying players for years before it was legal or do you cherry pick your outrage and was iPhone 14 footage your final straw? Harbaugh HAD to sleep with your ex girlfriend or something. At this point there is no other rational explanation. Counterpoint: The shelf life of an NFL coach is pretty damn short…for every Bellichick there are 2-3 Reich’s… Harbaugh has a lifetime contract at his alma mater, will never buy a meal in Ann Arbor and will be untouchable in the event of a win Monday night…maybe even if they lose. At 60 years old, that’s pretty damn rare and might cause one to think twice, no?

I still remember the Michigan plane being in route from California to Ann Arbor in 2015…Harbaugh was on it…pen in hand, Michigan pin on his sport jacket, heading to Schembechler Hall upon landing for his introductory press conference where he was going to be named Michigan’s next head coach… 10 minutes later, ESPN had Schefter (a Michigan grad by the way) on SportsCenter citing “Oakland is still in play…do not count out the Raiders.” Point being, no one nationally knows Harbaugh’s future, hell his wife may not. Doesn’t stop them though.

I’ve been clear through this entire process that they “cheated”. I’ve never debated that issue. However, the results speak for themselves at this point as it pertains to the level of advantage they had…hell there are way more egregious acts quoted in that article you just read.
