  1. Nah, more so I dug deeper into Evansville Memorial and was impressed. Also, no way to keep Brebeuf out of the top 20 for the time being. I mean, Carmel played Westfield down to the wire and Brebeuf beat Carmel...
  2. Trotting out recycled idioms and tropes is an insult to what people saw with their own eyes. You owned the loss, I'll give you that...but the "heated rivalry" nonsense is overboard.
  3. Is Carroll/Snider not a “heated rivalry?” Brownsburg/Avon? Crown Point/Merrillville? New Pal/Mt. Vernon? Check the final score on those contests. Stop making excuses for poor play. Both teams continued to step on a rake for 4 hours. No other way to spin it.
  4. They played Warren to a stalemate for a half and had played the Warriors better than anyone other than BD prior to last night. So, is Warren overrated?
  5. I’ve seen dozens of contests between these two rivals but last night may be the sloppiest game I’ve witnessed. I am sure the long delay didn’t help but I’d venture to say there were over 200 yards in penalties and tons of head scratching decisions as neither team seemed to want to grasp victory from the jaws of defeat. Both will need to have more discipline and will need tremendous growth at the QB position to make any type of tournament run.
  6. Brownsburg Westfield Center Grove Crown Point Warren Central Lawrence North Indianapolis Cathedral Fishers Hamilton Southeastern Carroll (Fort Wayne) Columbus North New Palestine Concord Mishawaka Bishop Chatard Brebeuf Jesuit Carmel Fort Wayne Snider Lafayette Jefferson Evansville Memorial Evansville Reitz Plainfield Martinsville Elkhart Roncalli
  7. Laughing simply because I can’t figure some of these teams out.
  8. Hear the coeds at UF are top notch…
  9. I’m just glad everyone in this thread has spelled everything correctly thus far…
  10. You may actually be right but I cannot continue to rank teams that are sub .500 in good faith. I expect Avon and Ben Davis to fall off the list in the event of losses this Friday.
  11. You have Penn in the 30-40 range I am assuming?
  12. Still gotta reward wins. Elkhart’s schedule isn’t a world beater but it also isn’t an egg beater either. In my opinion, an undefeated Concord squad and a 1 loss Elkhart squad (who played a one point game) deserve to be ranked over 3 loss HCC/MIC teams even if I don’t think they’d win head to head. Games HAVE to matter, otherwise, I’d shuffle around the same 25 teams weekly.
  13. Top 30 and charging.
  14. Avon @ Franklin Central: Had high hopes for both of these teams in the offseason as I expected improvement from both. Expected Avon to leave the cellar of the conference and FC to make a play for top half. Both seem to be falling short thus far. These teams both need a win desperately to change the outlook on the back half of their season and I will say the Flashes eek one out here. 27-21 FC. Brownsburg @ Fishers: The Bulldogs continue to run roughshod over 6A but the back half of their schedule is brutal. Can't look ahead to the 1-2 showdown (at least in my poll) against Westfield next week. Fishers, after the head scratching loss to Pike has rattled off two impressive wins in a row, including breaking their Mudsock losing streak to rival HSE. The northeast side will be rocking Friday night and this one should be epic. I'll say Brownsburg remains undefeated. 'Dogs win 27-24. Hamilton Southeastern @ Westfield: Another great matchup of ranked teams as the top four in the conference play one another on the same night. The Royals need this one to remain in the conference hunt after last week's loss to Fishers. Westfield continues to roll and, like Brownsburg needs to focus here before THE big one next week. I say 'Rocks are too much. Westfield wins 24-16. Noblesville @ Zionsville: Millers and Eagles seem to be 5-6 right now and we will find out Friday night in which order. I don't really have a feel for this one and am gonna go with Noblesville in a nail biter. Millers win 20-14. What say you?
  15. Ben Davis @ Warren Central: These two seem to have flip flopped from 2023 and 2024 as BD now appears to be in rebuild mode, whereas Warren is the state title contender. Still can't wrap my head around SIXTEEN consecutive quarters without allowing a point. Regardless of what level of competition you play, that is insane. I'll say BD gets a score or two this week, but not much more. Warren's offense seems to slowly be figuring it out too, which should put the rest of the state on notice. Not surprised THAT they beat LC, rather HOW HANDILY they did so. Warren rolls this week, 27-9. Indianapolis Tech @ Lawrence North: This one will be over by the end of the first quarter and will set up a HUGE LN/Warren showdown for MIC supremacy in week 6. The Wildcats coast here and the main goal is to stay healthy. Best offense in the state versus best defense in the state in week 6. LN rolls here, 56-0. North Central @ Cathedral: Another one that should be over early as the Irish host NC who is on a 26 (yes 26) game losing streak. Cathedral makes it 27. Irish win 41-7. Pike @ Lawrence Central: Actually the most intriguing game of the week in the conference for me and I never thought I would have said that before the season started. Both teams have taken a step forward but are also a notch below where they need to be to be a real player in the conference. I will go LC in a close one, 27-23. Trotwood-Mason (OH) @ Center Grove: Trotwood is 0-4, in rebuild mode and is traveling to the southside of Indy to take on a CG team that seems to have found its stride after the opening week loss to Westfield. I predict a long bus ride home to the Buckeye state. CG wins this one 34-10. Brebeuf Jesuit @ Carmel: This one could actually be interesting despite the Braves taking the role of David here as the Braves seem to be a real player at the 3A level. The Braves can put up some points and the longer this one is close, the more the pressure shifts to the favored Greyhounds. I say Carmel is too much and wins this one 30-17. What say you?
  16. Can't wait for the CNN/ABC fact check on yesterday's attempted assassination... "Trump was holding his 7 iron up in a dangerous fashion, thus a good samaritan who just happened to be passing by opened fire on the former president to eliminate any threat."
  17. We will find out when they play LN. Strength vs strength.
  18. Not necessarily. Trying to balance rewarding teams for winning games and not dropping teams with brutal schedules too much. That being said, Ben Davis, Avon and Noblesville are on thin ice. They better start winning here soon or they’ll drop out all together.
  19. So intrigued by LN. Was high on them in the off season but was curious if they could take the next step. The next month will tell us a lot about the seriousness of their state championship potential.
  20. You should have higher self-esteem when speaking to yourself in the mirror.
  21. It’s getting tougher as after four weeks of data, the push and pull between head to head competition and quality of wins becomes the debate. Example: Fishers beats HSE but loses to Pike who lost to BD who lost to Avon who lost to HSE. Feel pretty confident in my top 9…after that not so much.
  22. Brownsburg Westfield Center Grove Warren Central Crown Point Lawrence North Indianapolis Cathedral Carmel Fort Wayne Snider Fishers Hamilton Southeastern Columbus North Carroll (Fort Wayne) New Palestine Concord Mishawaka Bishop Chatard Lafayette Jefferson Elkhart Evansville Reitz Avon Ben Davis Plainfield Pike Martinsville
  23. Congrats to Kamala on becoming the 47th POTUS. She managed to avoid any fastballs last night, deflect about her positions and record and with the help of the “unbiased” moderators avoid any fact checking on her statements while triggering Trump and allowing him to sink himself. Truly astounding stuff.
  24. Yeah, good point. And still growing. I just don’t see it from them. They don’t want it the way these suburban schools do.
  25. Whatever dude. You love making things personal until things are thrown back in your face. Joke/insult are synonyms. Grow up.
