    Castle never plays anyone 2 ways. They haven’t in a very long time. And yes the D line is tiny. Probably average 185-190.

    I watch crews for many of these things every game. I’m almost 40 now, but officiated from when I got out of the Marine Corps (age 24) until I got a job that prevented it on Fridays (age 30). I still miss it and keep telling myself when my youngest (10) is out of high school I’m getting back in to it.

    Reason I ask… JV game had a blocked FG. Defense picked it up and ran it 75 yards back for a TD. One of the officials blew the whistle when it was recovered. Time was at 0:00 in the half. They declared an inadvertent whistle. The team that blocked the FG got the ball for one untimed down. They threw a pick 6.

    I keep hearing talk about Vincennes Lincoln moving to the PAC and Gibson Southern moving to the SIAC after this year. Is there any truth to this at all or just people making rumors?

    I feel like I know the answer but I’m going to ask. On a field goal try that is blocked can the defense pick it up and run it back? Not an extra point but a field goal.

    I was impressed with Harrison’s size, speed, and athleticism. Just a lot of mental mistakes. If they keep Sutton I don’t see how they don’t get better each year.

    This type of thing happens everywhere. Most coaches just aren’t dumb enough to send texts or emails about it. look at all the transfers within the Evansville schools- Mater Dei, Central, North, Reitz, Memorial just to name a few.

    So only 1 class 6A and 8 class 5A schools do not have turf. Interesting. to me the biggest positives outweigh any negatives. You don’t have to worry about not practicing (football, baseball, band, soccer, the list doesn’t end) or having class on the field during school without tearing it up. And one rainy game doesn’t ruin the field for the year for all age levels.

    Agreed. If Reitz keeps winning then Reitz and Castle will be the next challenge.
