Offense has the ball at 4th and 3. Player A runs the football, gains 1 yard, as he goes out of bounds defensive player hits him late. Refs throws flag for late hit. Is it 1st and 10 for player A team or is it a change of possession, 15 yard penalty, and 1st and 10 for the team that was on defense?

High school rules, but youth level football (6th grade). The refs called taunting and marked it from the spot it occurred (10 yard line). TD did not count. I was curious because I really had no idea.

Player A is running the ball. Has a long breakout run and gets out in front of the defense. On the 10 yard line he turns to wave “bye bye” to defense making it very clear he is rubbing it in. He scores the TD.

The Terry boys are the main reason I am asking. It isn't every year you get physical specimens like them. Having seen them in track and wrestling I assumed they were beasts on the gridiron.

Is TC the favorite to win the small school division?

I’ve been told VL complained. I don’t get why you can’t start at 6:30 when playing VL or Jasper and 7:00 for everyone else. That wouldn’t be hard at all.

Sure would be nice to have start times of 7:00. You know like the rest of the State does. I hate that our conference does 6:30 start times for teams both in Evansville.

Central/Bosse could be a good game. This game may tell us who will go 0-10. Who knows who wins. Harrison/Jasper. Jasper has to come back with a better showing this week. Right? Jasper wins by 2-3 scores. Castle/MD. Surely MD has a better performance than last year’s blowout loss to Castle. They looked like they ran the ball well last week. Castle by 3 scores. Reitz/Vincennes. Vincennes did better last week than most expected. Reitz by 3 scores. Memorial/North. Is North defense legit? Memorial is too much. Wins by 2 scores.

North starting RB (Rucker) had 16 carries and 28 yards.

If I was guessing maybe 5. 110 total yards on offense according to Chase Hoehn. He does the radio for Castle football.

Castle defense looks solid. The running game got going for Castle in the second half when needed. Castle offense ran only 21 plays and had the ball for 7:15 mins.

What is North bringing back? How many SIAC schools run 22 different starters? Castle has done this for a long time and I wonder if it helps or hurts? Helps because it gives good rest and lets players focus on one job. Hurts because your best athletes are only on the field half the time.

The intra squad scrimmage this Saturday is now at the middle school. All the prep work looks done so it’s just laying the actual field turf. I’m interested in the coconut instead of rubber material. It’s a Sprint Turf field
