After watching the Eagles we all know the QB push for short yardage is nearly unstoppable. NFHS does not allow the ball carrier to be pushed correct? Can you pull them? What are the rules on this?

Couldn't agree more. Excited to see some close games across the board instead of 35 point blowouts. - Harrison v Central. Someone has to win. I am going with Harrison by 14. Don't ask me why because I don't know - MD v Bosse. My brain tells me MD will win with discipline, but my gut tells me Bosse wins on athleticism. Bosse by 7 - Reitz v Memorial. Memorial just won't be able to hang without their QB1 and RB1. I don't think this will be high scoring though. Reitz stays in the teens or low 20's and wins by 14. - Castle v Jasper. Castle's offense looks lights out vs some teams, but struggles to get to 20 points vs others. Castle struggled stopping the FB dive vs Jasper last year and that was with Purdy as the Mike. Does Castle figure out how to stop the triple option this year? I see this being a high scoring game (30s). Castle by 3. - North v VL. VL just won't be able to pull this out without Hunt. North by 10

How does this crew not know this? Let’s just say it was on the 6 yard line. Would they have taken it all the way to the 1?

Anyone at the Jasper/Bosse game have a summary? Was it close at all? What about Memorial/MD? How in the heck did MD keep it so close when they literally couldn’t stop Castle’s offense if they would have at 15 players on the field?

The two games that stand out to me are Castle at VL and Jasper at MD.

Seems like a quiet week for the SIAC. I really don’t see any game being close. Maybe Bosse and Jasper.

Evansville Mater Dei...Oh My. From State Champs to bottom tier of their own conference. Starting 1-2 so far with the possibility of being 2-7 by year's end. Surely they will sneak out another win or two right?

Can Mater Dei keep the game within 14 points? Probably not. Can Jasper slow down Bosse's high flying offense? No way Jasper wins by more than 21, but their slow offense is just the ticket to keep Bosse from scoring a bunch. Can Harrison make it not a running clock? No way. Will North be able to put any points on the board? Scoring 0 against Memorial is not a good sign for them. Does Central make it not a running clock?

Wagner basically was in video game mode all night. If you can contain him you will win by multiple TDs. If you don’t contain him then your Defense is in for a long night.

Really surprised with the MD/VL and Castle/Bosse scores. There cannot be enough said about the Bosse QB’s athletic ability. Mallory was the QB who played against Castle. He is listed as a Soph on paper…. That’s all that I will say about that.

Most JV and below games aren’t done by a Varsity crew. Unless something has changed.

This is supposedly the type of field that Castle and Boonville will be getting after this season. Exciting to see even field turf is improving. No more black rubber pellets everywhere.

Three biggest storylines to follow IMO: - how good is Bosse? Will they hang with Castle, get blown out, or possibly even win? - can Jasper remotely stay close to Reitz? - Will MD bounce back from their blowout loss to Castle?

After their performance at Castle I don’t see how they win any of these games.

Where do you get team stats? Do all teams use Max Preps?
