    Really surprised with the MD/VL and Castle/Bosse scores. There cannot be enough said about the Bosse QB’s athletic ability. Mallory was the QB who played against Castle. He is listed as a Soph on paper…. That’s all that I will say about that.

    This is supposedly the type of field that Castle and Boonville will be getting after this season. Exciting to see even field turf is improving. No more black rubber pellets everywhere.

    Three biggest storylines to follow IMO: - how good is Bosse? Will they hang with Castle, get blown out, or possibly even win? - can Jasper remotely stay close to Reitz? - Will MD bounce back from their blowout loss to Castle?

    To me the game of the week is Reitz at Jasper. Can Jasper slow down Reitz possessions with that option offense? CN they get a stop or two when needed on D?

    Doesn’t IHSAA say a heat index above 105 is not playable? Anything else the game can happen.

    I did a quick check on temps. 3:30 PM on Tuesday. Mishawaka is 84 degrees and feels like 85 evansville is 95 degrees and feels like 108. The heat index difference is insane.

    So the Summers kid (OL) from Reitz is 100% booted off the team? Wasn’t he the one with a full ride to Eastern Illinois?

    Same sideline. Wore black shoes, ref pants, ref black hat, and an all black shirt. Had a clipboard and was taking notes. Always stayed on the home sideline.

    At the Castle v EVV North game there was an official in all black on the sideline with a clipboard. Guessing he was scoring the crew?

    All Evansville games start at 6:30 CDT now. Which is so silly. Push them to 8.

    Side question: why in the heck did the Evansville area schools agree to a 6:30 start for all games and not just the games involving Jasper and Vincennes?

    Well. I need to start by saying thank you to this community for all the time and effort you put into this. I realize my comment definitely came across wrong and I greatly apologize for that. In my simple mind it is just hard to compare a team from Oregon to a team from Florida, but it is still really cool to see this list and all the effort that goes in to it. Thanks again!

    If seeding is so hard then how come wrestling can do it for way more people every year at Sectionals and all major tournaments? It’s not hard. Coaches get together and seed wrestlers the week before.

    Who can logically come up with a top 100 for high school in the country? How do you even compare teams?
