  1. Forgot about that one. I guess that might be considered a blowout. Lol. More the exception than the rule in this match-up. I expect standing room only at Alumni Field.
  2. I'm sure it'll still be a typical Chatard-Roncalli match-up. Hard hitting, disciplined, close game. Can't remember the last "blowout" by either side in this match-up. CYO vs. CYO.
  3. Any predictions on this one? Don’t know much about Roncalli this year but I assume they have big linemen, a good RB and play hard through the whistle. Always a tough matchup.
  4. Wasn’t sure what to make of Chatard after their scrimmage against last week, but last night they got punched in the mouth pretty quick (down 13-0) and responded with 42 unanswered points. They’ll be a hard out for anyone in the tournament.
  5. I know HSE sat their top O-lineman and only played their top RB & WR one series each (only threw to their top WR one time). So their offense is probably a lot better than what they showed. But BCHS impressed me. Great senior class. Big test against Brebeuf on Friday.
  6. CHS - 35 Zionsville - 21 Late TD brings it within 14 and CHS brings home #14.
  7. Sorry if I missed this posted anywhere, but anyone know if this is being streamed live, and have a link to it?
  8. These games are inevitable. Even when Chatard has been more well balanced and had a more experienced roster, these games are tough to win. But on β€œdown” years, you will continue to see this kind of result. These are no longer similar schools, and they haven’t been in quite some time. The only reason people get caught up comparing them still is because old farts like me remember what it was like in the 80’s, 90’s and maybe very early 00’s, and can’t seem to let it go. I am guilty of this, myself, from time to time. But they are not the same schools. Do not have the same enrollment. Do not pull from the same barrel of fish. Cathedral has 200-300 kids in their football program (95 ish Freshman I believe). An amazing number of football players for their enrollment. And that has been steady for them. They don’t just have quality talent, they have depth. And that makes a big difference at any level. Helps them compete with the elite 6A schools as well. Cudos to Cathedral for having a very good team and program. Billy is doing wonders over there and they will be good for years to come. But Chatard will be fine. They are very young, have talented underclassmen, and their upperclassman are tough kids and will rebound. They will give Roncalli all they can handle in sectionals, and they will continue compete regularly for 3A/4A championships. It’s hard to ask for more than that.
