Quintana resigns at Roncalli

To think I clicked on this thread expecting to read things related to the title! 🤣 I should have known better. -
The p/p hegemony continues unabated
Tin Cup replied to Muda69's topic in The Indiana High School Football Forum
I'm fine with an all p/p division, as long as they allow public schools the ability to voluntarily join that division if they so choose. Some public schools will still be interested in being the best-of-the-best, not just best-of-the-rest. -
Senior heavy. Kinnett (RB), Guy (WR/S), Arteaga (QB), Feeney (LB/TE), Purichia (LB/RB), Keating (CB), Woods (OL/DL), Campbell (OL/DL). I'm sure I'm missing some deserving names on here. But lot of senior contributors. Maybe 1-2 D1 commits. Nobody that will wow the scouts, but a lot of solid players making a solid team.

Excited to see Tuggle & Edmond play. Obviously they're both extremely talented, but I'm more curious on how they get both involved in their game plans. Are they able to get the ball out to Tuggle often enough for him to make an impact? Do they use him in the running game? And what does the rest of the defense look like when they run (or pass) away from Edmond? Do they move him around to different positions or blitz him so he can be around the ball more? I'm guessing he won't need to be covering any WR's in this game.

“Recruiting is real in high school."
Tin Cup replied to Muda69's topic in The Indiana High School Football Forum
Agreed. Undue influence of an athlete is a different story. And it happens. Nobody can deny that. But the word "recruiting" gets thrown around as some kind of criminal activity. P/P schools have no guarantee that students from feeder schools will select them over other options. They aren't subsidized by the government, so if they don't fill their classrooms, they close. Call it marketing or recruiting. It's necessary. -

Tin Cup replied to Muda69's topic in The Indiana High School Football Forum
There's "recruiting" when you are marketing your school to convince local students to choose you over other P/P options. And then there's "recruiting" when you are speaking directly to a specific student that also happens to be a good athlete. Northside CYO kids can decide between Guerin, Brebuef, Chatard, Cathedral. So all of those schools have to market directly to local grade schools and convince kids why their school is the best option in order to fill their classrooms. -
I don't care who makes them, I'm just asking for feedback beyond those. Any Delta fans on here?
-
Any thoughts on this one, other than the "running clock" comments. Delta has played some decent teams. What kind of offense do they run?

Sectional 28: Tippecanoe Valley @ Bishop Chatard
Tin Cup replied to Tin Cup's topic in The Indiana High School Football Forum
While I'm sure every Chatard and TV fan is thrilled to be on a long list of threads that are hijacked by conversations about unrelated Cathedral nonsense, why don't you guys take it to another thread so we can get back on topic. -

None of which has come from Chatard supporters. -
Sectional 28: Tippecanoe Valley @ Bishop Chatard

I bet there's a PP/Public thread for this argument. Don't need 20 posts about Cathedral's enrollment in a Chatard-Tipp Valley thread. What kind of offense does TV run? Are they balanced or heavier in the run/pass? -
QB is still injured, hasn't played since that Guerin game.
-
Thoughts on this one? Lot of good teams in this sectional. I know Chatard is being labeled the favorite, but Guerin took them to OT, and Tippecanoe Valley/Hamilton Heights both undefeated and look very tough.
-
I know nothing about Andrean this year. Just that they are a program with a lot of tradition and I think Chatard's coach is an alum. Is this going to be a good matchup?
-
Should be a great game & atmosphere! Don't know much about Guerin this year other than seeing some scores. But looks like they played Roncalli fairly close and had some success in the air.

Chatard @ Cathedral (Arlington MS)
Tin Cup replied to Tin Cup's topic in The Indiana High School Football Forum
While I’m happy with the result, I’m curious how early the coaches knew that the lights weren’t working and that the game would be called once it got dark. If it was before the first snap, it would’ve made more sense to postpone and play the entire game today. Not beneficial to either team to play half a game, rest for 12 hours and then play again. Easy way to get kids injured. -

I hadn’t been back there since my playing days until last night. Field conditions seemed fine. Rest of the facility looked like a condemned prison yard. -

Checked that site also, it's not on there. Someone told me that Arlington may not be equipped (possibly no wifi) to stream games? Any truth to that? -

I'm not seeing this game anywhere on this website. Anyone know if they're streaming this game on another site? -

Unfortunate going into a game like this. Especially for seniors. But both looking at potential lengthy postseason runs so they have larger goals ahead.
