I think Heritage Hills coming back in that game just speaks more to the tradition than anything….there have been plenty of games where GS has led by a few scores…and then the 4th Qtr happens. I may get the name wrong…but Kenton Crews? That kid will always remind me that it just takes 1 player to erase 3 Qtrs of great work…think that was almost a decade ago now lol…rent free when it’s GSvsHH

Lots of factors Chatard is now north 3A Memorial is playing up in 4A Bosse is 4A and Mater Dei hasn’t moved up from 2A It looks like they drew a line from Mt Vernon to Owen valley…and then Owen Valley to West Vigo…everything north and west of that was a different sectional

Barring a complete overhaul of tournament structure….we will never be treated to this rivalry game in a bigger moment/atmosphere. A game of ultimate bragging rights. A semi state game actually played under the lights on Friday. Playing in November….It really doesn’t get much bigger than this for this rivalry.

Cole Carter was his name for 2021. I think he moved back to his hometown in Illinois but my god was he the best Hs football broadcaster I’ve heard. Good voice…great play calling live…friendly…could name all the players…just a top notch guy. I think he did some espn Evansville broadcasts too. he also put together good video clips and stuff for GS during his 1 year calling games. Honestly can’t say enough good things about him cuz I miss him calling games and since I live out of state I listen to the broadcasts a lot

I mean…they showed up late to a game earlier this year lol. 6:30 game and the started the broadcast mid 1st Qtr with Bob watching his kid play for Mt Carmel, and the one guy who was AMAZING in 2021…just feels like they are trying to fill in with kids from the broadcasting program at WVC.

Heritage Hills vs Gibson Southern for a trip to LOS! and it will be a true Friday night lights game…am I crazy to say this game might mean more than the actual title game? Lol

The older I get the more I realize it’s really never about missed calls or mistake calls. At the HS level…if you’re as good as you’re supposed to be it handles itself.

I was in Iowa today so I’m just catching up on the game. So far so good…4th QTR starting and titans are up 24-14. if they can finish this out, we are getting treated to the single most important HH/GS rivalry game possible next week.

I’m wondering how many of the kids at Tri West were there when BA and company rolled into town a couple years ago for semi state. I remember seeing a number of Tri west fans at the state championship game that year

Gibson Southern 27 Vincennes Lincoln 13 Final Game was closer than the score shows. Was 13-12 VL late in the game. GS defense really had to work to win this game due to miscues on the offense.

I think GS made some minor mistakes at times but it was 28-7 I believe then a silly turnover and basically a Hail Mary and all of a sudden it’s 31-28…catch the kick…kneel it out. two or three plays is the difference between 38-14 and 31-28….but hey….others might see it as 2 or 3 plays go differently and HH might have won it too. So it’s a matter of opinion
