I was kinda shocked to hear he wasn’t playing basketball this year. Everything I had heard indicated he would be a higher D-1 basketball talent, I believe there was some bigger AAU thing in New Orleans or something that said “Sky is literally the limit”. Love that he is playing football though 🙂 Truly just a gifted kid. But he is only 15 so he still is growing and has a lot to develop. He has a great future ahead of him.

I wonder what Notre Dame and Ohio State are thinking? Along with the other big Midwest schools like Michigan, Wisconsin, Kentucky...Missouri.

My personal opinion...starting off 0-3 to non conference opponents could be hit or miss. if your team is competitive and all the games are close but lose all of them, that is much better down the stretch than just scheduling powerhouses in your area and getting blownout. If you front load with balanced competition, I think it’s great as it will get your team into better game condition going down the stretch. Likely only benefits and the players will still be mentally on board. If you just get blown-out every game, likely will be tough sledding all year and kids will start to check out if you don’t get some wins. just my thoughts on the matter. Could see it both helping and hurting depending on how good your team is and the opponents you face

Congrats to Brady Allen QB 2022 (Freshman at GIbson Southern) who picked up his second offer today from Virginia Tech. He already has an offer from Indiana. He has visited: Michigan State Indiana Ohio State (twice) Purdue Cincy As well as attended Camps at: Oklahoma State Miami (OH) From what I have seen, this kid is something special, and not just physically. Besides being 6’5 with a very accurate and strong arm, he has all the intangibles that you look for. Smart, Keen decision making, leadership, maturity, poise...and is as humble as can be. More great things to come for this kid and the team surrounding him.

Hey, who knows. Maybe in 3-4 years there might be a Butkus trophy in the Kiser home.

I made the same mistake with other players in the non academic all state. Unfortunately that resulted in me be laughed at because if you make the top 50 all state you don’t make the divisional all state. So he is on the top 50 but not the 1A. Its an easy mistake if you don’t otherwise know

The way I see it.... memorial takes a big step back after losing some absolute studs...but they will still be good i think the Siac will come down to central/Castle. With reitz looking in too. mater dei has been quite the past few years. Any word about them?

Personally I feel like this year the refs have been better about PI calls. They let the players play and make no calls if it’s both....but the missed saints call is rough. I don’t want reviewable penalties. But I feel like there should be a backdoor to this. Idk. Maybe a penalty challenge. The proposed challenge could only be used once and the coach has to specifically name the penalty that was missed or incorrectly called. Just an idea. Obviously there are flaws to this idea too

Oh wow. Didn’t realize Coach Hammer resigned from the gators. He’s a great coach. Will be tough to replace and absolutely agree wabash would have faired better than Denison

Former Wally here. Plenty of other Wally’s here....fully expect wabash to reload and make playoffs this next year. Although I will be surprised if they make a deep run. The UW D3s are very strong and Mt Union is always to be feared. Would love to see a deep run but we would really need to see some outstanding play. Personally from what I have seen over the past 6 years or so has been hard nosed defense that is very good with an offense that is capable but not elite. Always have a workhorse RB but as a whole I feel like the offense is missing that extra little bit that the defense seemingly always has. If the two can be on the same level I like the little giants chances for a deeper run

I mean. If your team is built around running the ball and you don’t really have the personnel to pass all the time skipping 7 on 7s doesn’t hurt except for learning to defend the pass but take GIbson southern for example...they travel for 7 on 7s every year. Go down to the national select 7 on 7 and compete against top programs....Gibson southerns offense has been one of the top in the state year after year because of this. By the time the season starts, I would argue a lot of the routes and plays are already learned and only progress from there. The defense is also on board with coverages too. Lots to benefit from but you can make a case against I suppose. But many who use them to their advantage can make the case on why they are great

Yep....if anything teams come to the PAC and it’s still the PAC.

I would rather see a geographic division shake up..... also dont know if tecumseh would come back to the PAC for football in this case

If the BIG 8 were to disband. And only if I believe only 2 teams have a legitimate chance of joining the PAC Princeton...and Mt. Vernon. The others I think would be a stretch and at some point if the PAC gets too bit to there will be scheduling nightmares or something will have to change in the form of rotational schedules or dare I say divisions and a week 9 conference championship

Should be very interesting. Brady made maxpreps 2nd team all freshman and the offense returns a lot of the key players. Lost Witte though. Biggest issue is the losses on defense due to graduation.....2 all state players and a few other key players will need to be replaced and that’s never easy, but I know some of the kids are up for that task. also lose an outstanding kicker
