So now your saying rankings matter? Because before it was just about “bigger” and “smaller” teams. Eastbrook had a tough night but I still doubt they finish 4th in the CIC. I would be shocked if Eastbrook won the CIC or even the section, but finishing 4th in the CIC is a stretch.

@captainobvious you go to the Alex game tonight? Sounds like it was a good close game.

They played the #10 team in the state a 6A team, with arguably the best QB in the state. I don’t remember anybody saying Marion would go to Indy and win tonight.

Didn’t Blackford get beat by a “smaller school” in week one?

This Marion defense is really quick so that should be a test for him.

Interested to see how Marion does against LN. We played Marion last week and they are really good, i don't think they will win but i think it will be a good game. Then again i don't know much about those teams around Indy, all i do know is they have some really good talent. Been hearing on the radio in Grant County all week on how good the QB is from LN, is he the best Quarterback around the area?

Big night tonight for the CIC. a couple of statement games to just see how good the teams are. Delta team is very good, Eastbrook will have their hands full. Ole Miss will win easy. interested to see how Alex does against Wabash. And since Blackford will finish second in the CIC they should handle SW, right @Scottish_Warrior? Maybe starters only play first half? Rooting for MG but heard they have a important kid hurt, but hopefully they can pull it off. Elwood, Frankton, Oak Hill are all going to have tough nights but they are playing some tough teams.

Eastbrook 4th? That might be a little much. I know the CIC is improving and that's great. I just don't think its improved enough, yet. but i have to admit i don't know a lot about some of the teams so maybe i will be shocked. Just going off week 1 games i don't see Eastbrook finishing 4th.

who would you say is better? Binkered? Stephanson? the young Dalton kid looked really good also

Its exciting to hear all this good news about MG. Any chance they have a chance to take that 3rd spot in the CIC? or maybe second if the young eastbrook team doesn't respond well after getting beat? Who would everybody say the best player in the CIC is? Campbell? Bragg? I don't here of many other names around the conference. @XStar is right on by saying Marion is a top 5 team in 4A, been a while since i have seen a high school team with that much speed.

Ole Miss is good but i wouldn't say they are clear favorites to win. Eastbrook handled Marion a lot better than i thought they would, that Marion team is FAST!!!!! and Eastbrook was only down 14-7 at half. This week against Delta will be test for Eastbrook, saw some film on Delta and they look a lot better than last year or Muncie Central is that bad. Was very shocked when we heard the half time score of MG and Tipton!

Blackford @ Monroe Central- Excited to see what Blackford does this year. Glad to have some good competition in the cic. Eastbrook @ Marion- Marion has a TON of talent... Jeff and his staff have beat teams that have had just as much talent. I think/hope the panthers have more discipline and it will be interesting to see how Marion handles the no huddle. Lapel @ Elwood- Gonna be another tough year for Elwood. MG @ Tipton- Very excited to have Tipton in our sectional... sounds like they are young but still going to be very good.  Ole Miss @ Pendleton- dont know anything about Pendelton, but i know 2 brothers with the last name of Campbell for the Indians. The oldest one is a senior and a very special talent, he is fun to watch. OH @ Eastern- Got to pick CIC here dont know much about either team. Tri-Central @ Frankton- Another game i dont know much about. But to you Frankton fans congrats on another awesome basketball season. saw the semi state game!!!!! what a fun game just bad result.  Wes-Del @ Alex-I think Alex might be better than what people think. Also Alex fans congrats on the State baseball championship!

Eastbrook and Ole Miss will be the teams to beat, Blackford wont be to far behind. I think Ole Miss edges Eastbrook by a little, Campbell boys are VERY good. Eastbrook losses a lot of starters from last season. Guys that have been starting since there sophomore year. Its going to be tough replacing guys like Kirby, Dalton, and Hale but Adamson and his staff always seem to find a way to do it. Bragg had a very good game a state last year so it will be fun to see what he can do this year.

Blaze was good. Did he go play anywhere? I heard he went on a baseball scholarship instead.

They passed a little more (Adamson was the coach when he played also) he was just a stud athlete. he had multiple D1 scholarships to go pitch, was an all state pitcher for 3 years. Was a 4 year varsity basketball player lead Eastbrook to its first and only regional win. never made it to state in football got beat in regional every year by the University of Luers.

David Caudill from Eastbrook. Played professionally in Germany for a few years. I also think he got picked up by a NFL team un-drafted

I went to New Castle 2 weekends ago to watch sectional and went to Marion last weekend to watch regional. Both Gyms are in the top 10 in the world with how many people they can sit, Both Gyms were sold out with standing room only. Heard from one of the parents one school sold 4,000 tickets. Attendance isn't as down as what people think. If all Gyms are not full this weekend for semistate i would be shocked.
