  1. He sat out of varsity competition for 365 days (as mentioned above). He did not play a varsity sport his Sophomore Season. You are digging for something that isn't there...
  2. So now you know.. They have all lived/grown up in the Webo School District. Open Enrollment hasn't helped and Webo Community Schools does advertise welcoming new/transferring students... I assure you they aren't looking at the athletic pedigree before taking them either...
  3. Kruze moved to Jamestown. He didn't just Transfer in. You can ask the family... I won't speculate on a kid/family decision to attend another school.
  4. I clarified in a post above... . Again, do you not believe a small Rural school can have athletes? I don't understand your disdain for these young men and what they have accomplished?
  5. It's amazing what kids buying into the program, good coaching, a phenomenal weight/conditioning program, a good youth program, and community support get you... And the kids flat work their tails off...
  6. I don't believe he "moved"... He did go to Lebanon (as stated above) but still resided in Webo School District. His sister has always attended Webo Schools. I am not sure why Muda needs the background of every kid that played at Webo...
  7. Kruze wasn't on the 2019 team.
  8. Wethington lives in the Webo School District, he went to Elementary School in the Webo School District, he played youth football at Webo
  9. They all live in Western Boone school district, they all attended either Granville Wells or Thorntown Elementary as elementary age kids. To be honest, I am not sure there is a kid on the 64 man 2019 roster that lives outside the Western Boone School District.. What’s your next question? I mean clearly you have something to say and cant be happy for kids getting an opportunity at a higher level.
  10. No idea, Coach. I would assume QB...
  11. All are Webo kids and all have at least 1 parent that attended Webo. Coach Comer is too notch. The athletes put in the time and effort and Coach Comer puts time into them.
  12. Spencer Wright has committed to Franklin College per his Twitter account. Congrats 7! And I think there may be a couple of more commitments coming from Webo... Spencer has committed to Franklin College.
  13. Cascade is open per @Cadethletics (Schools Athletic Dept. Twitter)
  14. Still TBD. I believe there is at least 1 if not 2 more kids that will have opportunities (Spencer Wright is one of them)... He's an even better young man... But he was a beast in the trenches!
  15. Congratulations to the following as they have committed Brett Wethington RB/LB-- IU* Caleb Freeman DL--St. Francis* Casey Foster OL--Indiana Wesleyan* Max Johnson OL--Franklin College* Connor Hole DB--IU *SIGNED
  16. Maybe I should have clarified a bit... Every kid/situation is different... The D3 Schools will find money to help each kid they want to come in and play for them, but that money will all be different. Certain kids will get more than others. My experience with this was that it would have cost more to attend a D3 school and play rather than going to a State School just to get an education (not me, but someone very close to me). The situation will be different for every kid/family.... We do know D3s can't offer Athletic Scholarships.... But we also know that D3s can get creative in how they find/give money.... It wasn't fair of me to say that "the majority of players are paying more at Wabash, Depauw, Hanover, Franklin, etc. than they would be as a student at a State School"
  17. Traders Point Christian Academy is open Per Kyle Neddenriep (Indy Star) Twitter
  18. Wethington verballed to Valpo. I think with the opportunity to have a shot at playing B1G football was something Brett couldn't pass up (My thoughts/opinions)... Nothing on Spencer yet...
  19. D3 schools can NOT offer athletic scholarship money. They may set aside for NEED or for ACADEMICS. Show me a D3 Athletic Scholarship Offer. And if they set aside money, guarantee the majority of players are paying more at Wabash, Depauw, Hanover, Franklin, etc. than they would be as a student at a State School
  20. Can't be happy for the kids, can you? And everything above is garbage. If Spegal doesn't accept the PWO at IU maybe he goes to Marian... Or UIndy... Maybe those would have been better fits? To put all of this on kids deciding what is best for them (NOT BEST FOR YOU or Small College Football in Indiana) is absolutely asinine.
  21. And let's face it... If you are paying to attend IU as a PWO you are probably paying less thatn going to one of the small private colleges to play football... And at the end of it all (if they stick it out) they can say they played B1G Football... Regardless if they ever see the field. They will will have access to all kinds of resources that the average student at IU will not get... They get strength and conditioning training from one of the best (Dave Ballou). They get tutoring and academic support. And more importantly, they get to live out a dream that a bunch of us 40+ year olds all wish we had the opportunity. If kids get the opportunity to play at the next level (whether thats a PWO, a partial scholly, etc) be happy for them. The 8 kids that accepted PWOs this weekend will not make or break the small school Indiana College Football scene. We all know there will be kids to leave and transfer because some kids struggle going from the Big fish in the small pond to small fish in the big pond. D1 FBS Schools get 85 Scholarships for 85 players D1 FCS get 63 Scholarships for up to 85 players (Butler & Valpo are in the Pioneer League and do not offer Football Scholarships) D2 Football gets 36 scholarships for up to 85 players D3 NO ATHLETIC SCHOLARSHIPS NAIA gets 24 Scholarships
  22. The reality is DT, regardless if they went to Marian, Franklin, Hanover, St. Francis, Wabash, UIndy, etc. they are going to walk out with some debt (maybe more as most D2, NAIA schools are private).
  23. So... It wasn't that long ago a lot of people on this board will screaming about keeping talent in state and getting Indiana High School Talent to Purdue and IU... Now Allen is killing small college football? Could be $250K in debt if he wants to play D3 Football. Johnny Football and his parents have to make the best decision for him. If Johnny was to go to Marian, Depauw, Wabash, UIndy, St. Francis, Anderson, Hanover, Bluffton, etc. he is probably walking out of there with some debt (probably as much as his PWO from IU) because not every member of those schools gets Full Rides. I will also add, the resources/opportunities the PWOs will get from IU will be greater than smaller Indiana College Football. The biggest misconception I think is that if you get an offer its a full ride... Couldn't be more further from the truth.
  24. Congratulations to Western Boone's Connor Hole and Brett Wethington. Both received (and committed) to IU on Saturday when Coach Tom Allen offered both Preferred Walk on spots. Congrats to Both!
