The reality is DT, regardless if they went to Marian, Franklin, Hanover, St. Francis, Wabash, UIndy, etc. they are going to walk out with some debt (maybe more as most D2, NAIA schools are private). D1 FBS Schools get 85 Scholarships for 85 players D1 FCS get 63 Scholarships for up to 85 players (Butler & Valpo are in the Pioneer League and do not offer Football Scholarships) D2 Football gets 36 scholarships for up to 85 players D3 NO ATHLETIC SCHOLARSHIPS NAIA gets 24 Scholarships

So... It wasn't that long ago a lot of people on this board will screaming about keeping talent in state and getting Indiana High School Talent to Purdue and IU... Now Allen is killing small college football? Could be $250K in debt if he wants to play D3 Football. Johnny Football and his parents have to make the best decision for him. If Johnny was to go to Marian, Depauw, Wabash, UIndy, St. Francis, Anderson, Hanover, Bluffton, etc. he is probably walking out of there with some debt (probably as much as his PWO from IU) because not every member of those schools gets Full Rides. I will also add, the resources/opportunities the PWOs will get from IU will be greater than smaller Indiana College Football. The biggest misconception I think is that if you get an offer its a full ride... Couldn't be more further from the truth.

Congratulations to Western Boone's Connor Hole and Brett Wethington. Both received (and committed) to IU on Saturday when Coach Tom Allen offered both Preferred Walk on spots. Congrats to Both!

I believe it is only in the 2nd half when it starts. The rule "goes away" after Sectionals.

Webo Youth league is taught the offense that Coach Pelley runs. With that said, he adapts to his personnel too. So while everyone from 2nd-6th grade knows the base offense, by the time they hit High School they can adapt to the personnel they have. Webo lined up and that base offense (with success) all year. But you would see them going to a pistol set or spread set too. I believe if your kids can teach/run a base of what the high school runs, you are already ahead.

Kevin Wright Hired Dave Ballou (from Avon Standout and IU player) as a Strenght & Conditioning Coach away from Avon when Wright got the HC job at IMG. Ballou left 2 or 3 years ago and went to Notre Dame for a year and is now at IU. I am guessing Kevin Wright has an offer on the table from a Division I program... Whether thats a Coordinator/Position Coach or a HC job at a lower level Division I program.

Coach, you are allowed to have your opinion thats what makes this forum great. You saw Adams twice and his stats (which are crazy). Wright called plays at the line and audible out of stuff as he saw Defenses. He didnt have to throw for for yards... I kept waiting for Defenses to stack just so he could throw it. Eastbrook kind of did that and Spencer did what Spencer does and he made plays. I feel like because Spencer didnt throw for 2500 yards people will say he is underserving. But for those that watched all 30 games he played in the last 2 years know how good he is. I honestly believe Webo doesnt win back to back titles without 7 behind center and I think that in large part is why he is a finalist.

Ask the IFCA. They are the ones that selected him. Did either of one of them win back to back State Championships?

I think a lot of it has to do with him winning State in back to back years and the stats he put up in both State Finals games. 2018 25/35 330 yards 4 Tds and 1 Int & 84 yards Rushing 2019 14/18 254 yards, 2 Tds & 1 INT & 56 yards Rushing

I don't know that I have ever seen 3 kids from the same school win the position awards... Even in the late 80s/early 90s of the Ben Davis hayday... Congrats to Spencer Wright... The only player not from a 5A/6A school.

Re: Charlie’s age.... If he started school late or was held back what's the deal? I promise we all know people that started school late Or were held back at some point. I would guess if he was held back at some point it was when he was in elementary school and NO ONE knew what kind of football player he would turn in to. I have an October birthday. If I was held back at any point I would have been well over 19 when I graduated high school.
