Snider vs Carmel game in 1982 was cold and rainy, it was a semi-state game if memory serves correctly at Carmel, arid Woodson’s last game at the high school level, brutal conditions. Snider vs Mishawaka game in regionals I believe 2015 at Wayne, very cold, windy, blowing snow, I remember freezing my ass off

Luers plays a better schedule than Andrean. Not a slight to Andrean st all, they are a very good team and have a great chance to win this game

Not sure who was dressed in the Snider uniforms in the first half, but yes, Snider was very impressive in the 2nd half and if that team shows up against Valpo they will be in real trouble quickly

Watching the Carroll vs Lafayette Jeff game gives me huge pause on Carroll keeping this game competitive. Jeff is nowhere close to HSE in talent and Carroll struggled mightily to hang with them. Not liking their chances even a little bit… Let’s put it this way, if you really believe Carroll has a great chance to beat HSE, then you must also believe that Snider will absolutely roll Valpo considering Snider was very competitive with Carroll without their RB1. Nobody in their right mind would believe that Valpo would beat HSE…

I agree with you on this. 2 point home field advantage means squat. Real home field advantages are like going to Green Bay in the cold, A dome stadium that is really loud, Georgia, Alabama, Ohio State, etc….

Neither have I. I would say since Homestead has come into the SAC, that is a difficult place to win. Carroll is now a difficult place to win. That is about it. Snider doesn’t have a home field. If Wayne, Luers, North Side, or Concordia have good teams, they may have an advantage since they play on grass. Sorry, South Side doesn’t count… Lol. Certain people on the Grid may not like this, but many years ago, certain places outside of Fort Wayne were well known for “homer” officials, which gave those teams a significant home field advantage. I have not personally seen that in many years though. As is well known on the Grid, Luers mysteriously had a flooded field several years ago that may have given them a home field advantage. They also may have let the grass grow a little longer as well.

I gotta say, Luers is not getting much respect round these parts. Almost every year, they are around a .500 team and almost every year they seem to be making a state title run. There is nothing that Andrean is going to do that they haven’t already seen this year. They have played much better teams with more athletes and speed. I think this will be a very good game that goes down to the wire, Luers 24 - Andrean 21

HSE 42 - Carroll 21 - Carroll has made some big strides this year to compete at the 6A level, time to try and climb the mountain. I think this is a good measuring stick for Carroll and getting to play 2 non conference games starting next year will further the cause. Going to be a tough night for the Chargers I believe

Adams Central 28 - North Judson 21 - I think this game is going to be really good and competitive. Getting home field is big for North Judson and is an advantage for them. I have thought from day 1 this year that the Jets were going to Indy to play for a state title and nothing has changed my mind

Snider 35 - Valpo 14 - This is absolutely a game Snider should win handily, having said that, I always try and remember that this is game that is played by teenagers and anything can happen. Snider has a much better offense, a better defense, and a couple game breakers also. Truthfully, having watched some video on Valpo, they remind me a bit of Dwenger, maybe better, but a similar team. I just don’t see Valpo being able to stop Snider’s offense and not sure how they are going to score enough to keep up with the Panthers. No sandbagging here, Panthers win comfortably

There is no doubt in my mind that Snider should beat Valpo, but Snider fans are use to seeing some clunkers from the Panthers over the years.

Sure you have heard this before but the best thing with officials is when you don’t notice them. I thought this game was well officiated. Sorry to deflate your ammunition… Maybe someone else has a different take on the game…

Also, I would say Snider was a big favorite against Laporte in 2014 and got absolutely waxed 35-7…

I think there is a good chance for a couple semi-state titles as well, and possibly a couple state titles to go with it, time will tell

Lutheran at 13 and Adams Central 21? Come on, when those 2 teams play in the title game it literally could go either way and 8 spots apart…
