Yes I believe it was Mishawaka, the Kokomo game a blowout, 56-20

Snider played Mishawaka in 2015 in the Regional at Wayne High School. Snider won 42-32 and it was a good game as I was at the game. Snider struggled stopping that option running attack and it came down to the fact that Mishawaka couldn’t stop Snider’s offense at all. I think we are looking at a similar game this time with the difference being turnover/penalties.

Merrillville is very talented, but the attitude issues have plagued this program for a long time. Lack of discipline fits as well. They probably have enough to get by Valpo this week, not sure it would be enough if they play Snider if the Panthers are able to beat Mishawaka

Not sure if “clearly” Snider is the better team. Snider has only played Fort Wayne area teams so far so not sure how they will matchup with a team from elsewhere. Also, Mishawaka runs the option so that will not be easy to defend for the Panthers. Snider does not have a huge defensive line either which could make it even more difficult to defend. I will say that Mishawaka will have a hard time defending Snider’s offense, lots of speed and multi-dimensional tendencies. Very curious to see what happens…

As I said many weeks ago, it is very foolish to ever discount Luers, regardless of their record. They will roll Bluffton and then the tournament starts for them at semi-state

Luers played physical against Eastside this year, they punched them back in the mouth whereas last year they didn’t. As far as injuries, every team has them, you have to overcome them, period. As far as lack of class goes, listen to the replay of the game with the Eastside announcers, oh my, it was bad…

Good game planning, yes, costing your team the game with being undisciplined, hell yes

I guess one thing I don’t understand is how some are praising North’s coaches. Exact opposite from me, they cost their players the game. Watching their antics on the sidelines and then the head coach basically standing in the middle of the field arguing for 5 minutes reeks of a team lacking discipline, which proved out with their players taking key penalties throughout the game. I really thought North outplayed Snider in the game and their own coaches stole it from them

No, QB was scrambling and threw the ball 10 yards out of bounds as he was throwing a deep ball to a receiver that was covered by 3 Panther players. Coach was claiming pass interference. Coach ran into the field arguing with officials and coaches ended up delaying the game for 5 minutes and only received a sideline warning instead of a penalty for unsportsmanlike conduct. His players started melting down as well and took personal foul penalties as well.

I wasn’t attacking Eastside in the least, rather responding to another poster that said Eastside was as good as they were last year, which is clearly not the case, neither is Luers. It was a hard fought game, maybe one that should be happening in a Regional instead of a Sectional. Lastly, you want to see bad sportsmanship, go watch the North vs Snider game with North losing their cool from the head coach down and costs itself the game.

Snider 25-21 over North Side - I am still trying to figure out how the Panthers won this game. Turnover battle they lost, special teams they lost, line of scrimmage I thought North Side won, hard to figure out. I will say this, North is very poorly coached, head coach lacks discipline, hence his players do as well. North had so many penalties, Coach out arguing in the field, players taking personal fouls, just poorly coached, guess that is my answer. Luers 35-21 over Eastside, I called this all along, Luers controlled this game. Tape doesn’t lie, didn’t care less when people were saying Eastside didn’t lose much from last year, yes they did!!! Luers will annihilate Bluffton next week than the real fun will begin for them as semi-state will be tight Yorktown 42-41 over Norwell, Knights up 21-0 quickly and then it slowly slips away. Not sure how they lose this game, but they did Columbia City 27-21 over Leo, I thought the Eagles would win this game much more easily than they did Carroll 34-17 over Warsaw, much closer than expected, makes one a little nervous for the Chargers going into next week Adams Central 41-13, a drubbing as I thought, Jets on their way to state
