  1. Is there a particular program you're referring to who doesn't respect their opponent?
  2. Correct. I find it humorous that key words get several poster's panties in a bunch. Never did I say that Northrop would give the best teams in Indy a good game. Was simply giving some insight to another poster regarding the Bruins. Good team, but not ready for the best 6A has to offer. Carroll proved that by going up 27-7 before letting off the gas. I love this forum, the entertainment value is priceless. Well, let's just call it "surrounding area." Football in Indy city proper is atrocious.
  3. Yes, yes, and yes. I was just giving some insight to @BLACKGOLD2007 regarding Northrop. Sorry it triggered you to suggest that they have some athletes that would give any team nightmares to defend. Again, I'm sorry. All the best athletes are from Indianapolis, just like all the best teams are.
  4. Make no mistake, Northrop has the kind of athletes on on offense that would give Carmel or Brownsburg a headache. The program is having a very good year. Defense leaves much to be desired, although the best one they've put together during Bowen's reign as head coach. To put into perspective, I'd have them right underneath Jeff and Merrillville if they were a 5A school. They just aren't ready for the top half of 6A.
  5. Just saying there's a confidence within their program. That's a good thing, right?
  6. Yes, trap game. I think East Noble was looking ahead to Leo. I have Dwenger and East Noble dead even at the moment. There's swagger at this East Noble program, I like that. They fear no one. They'd square up against Carmel thinking they're the predator and the Greyhounds were the prey. They have a confidence about them.
  7. Outside of their trap game against Dekalb, no one else has really been close. Just don't underestimate them. Last year I dubbed EN/Dwenger to be a barn burner. East Noble won 38-0 and pretty much dominated their way to the state championship. They even dominated that game for the first 60 seconds.
  8. Agree. Completely different program with Wright leading the way.
  9. East Noble is 4A. I like Lafayette Jeff out of the North. I like their odds a little more than I do Merrillville, Bloomington South, or East Central. If there is one team with an outside shot, it's the Broncho's.
  10. Fair enough. Shame we'll never see a Westfield vs Crown Point/Carroll matchup.
  11. I'm trying not to be a homer myself. Just calling it as I see it. It's close.
  12. Lot's of love for Bloomington South, but................. New Pal 53% Cathedral 47% Rest of field 0%
  13. Can't mention Westfield and LN while leaving out Crown Point and Carroll. That shows some Indy bias in my opinion.
  14. Homestead 49, Concordia 0 Carroll 38, Luers 7 North Side 28, Snider 24 Dwenger 28, South Side 0 Northrop 55, Wayne 7
  15. State championship this weekend in Westfield. Snider, Penn, New Prairie, and Muster are coming in from the North. Anyone know who's representing the South?
  16. I'd agree with @Komets2727. I think they let up, then won the game when they needed to. They're a very opportunistic team. Dwenger had them down two touchdowns going into the 4th and ended up losing. The Bruins just have the kind of athletes most coaches only dream of having, I just don't think the program is ready to roll with the big dogs.
  17. I honestly think it's close. Sagarin says DAC wins 5 of the 8 matchups. But I see a lot of flaws in Sagarin. My gut tells me the SAC wins in a close one. Or maybe they go 4-4.
  18. Carroll was leading Northrop 27-7 at halftime. By far the better team. A date with Crown Point is looming as long as CP doesn't sleep on Penn.
  19. Right now I've got the chances of Cignetti leaving around 8%. He's making 8.3m/year, he loves Bloomington, and importantly, his wife LOVES Bloomington. He's just getting started. Penn State will throw the farm at him though.
  20. I was a nice day, for sure. Chilly in the shaded areas of the stadium, hotter than blazes in the sun. I was in the sun :(. Note to self, sit on the home side next time.
  21. I almost took your position. That clown is a menace to this forum. Just ignore him like I did. I don't see any of his posts.
  22. You pretty much nailed this one. I'd like to see Carroll move up to 10 and DC down to 16. Wondering if Dwenger's good enough to sneak in somewhere between 21-25. Also curious how Northrop would do against HH and GS.
