Really did not want to see this devolve like this….pretty sad Not in the least bit interested in knowing who was not watching or why….it was simply a post to highlight something cool about the Olympics. Also not interested in the childish jabs back and forth……but the fact is that anyone from this country who is competing for this country….does not hate this country. It’s a ridiculous and childish notion to say otherwise.

Still love seeing young people on this stage in sports that RARELY gets any attention, if any.

I was thinking that too….and more for the little talked about “country club” sports.

I kept seeing posts about IU swimmers, so I looked it up. IU has 12 people on the Olympic Swimming and Diving teams. That is impressive. They are also racking up quite a few medals. https://www.idsnews.com/article/2021/06/iu-athletes-2021-olympics-tokyo-indiana

Now that the Rodgers situation is settled; let's move on to the team. I cannot say enough how happy I am that Randall Cobb is back. Losing Corey Lindsley was a big loss, but I like the pick up today. Curious to see what is done defensively.

Reading some fan pages this am aka completely wasting my time lol…..like others, I am shifting to the problem in the front office, and believe there need to be changes made there. Aaron had quite a long list of players that were let go, and the lack of communication even with the players involved, is a big problem. Granted, the people in the front office don’t have to listen to him or his suggestions, but what appears to be clear is that there was no communication at all. Most people, after working for an employer, will have ideas to improve or change something, and offer suggestions. What keeps employees around is effective communication. I will admit that I was one of the people who said this makes Aaron look bad, but now think it is on the front office. I am glad the air has been cleared….now let’s go win a Super Bowl, huh? 😁

He might be sharing the spotlight come October/November. The Brewers are playing great baseball now.

Have to remember too, it took a LONG time for Favre to be welcomed back. Even I got rid of my Favre stuff when he landed in Minnesota. I was mad that he was treated poorly, but he did initiate things. Without question though, THE single most harmful front office blunder…..letting Holmgren go. A battle of egos between him and Ron Wolfe played out in the worst possible way for the organization. That set the program back for several years. Winning heals a lot of wounds.

I think he belongs up there. The disadvantage in the comparison to Manning and Brady is who they followed, and where the franchise was before they took over. Manning replaced Harbaugh, although there were three QB’s that season before. Bledsoe had a decent career in New England. But neither Harbaugh or Bledsoe played on the same level as Favre. I would also add that changes in the front office helped for Manning and Brady. Bill Poulian was a HUGE factor in the Colts success in that era. Belicheck’s involvement in the front office and scouting is a huge factor in their success, but Parcells did put the foundation in place. Rodgers has been able to put up some huge numbers in spite of poor coaching for most of his career as a starter. Ask Dallas fans about that now. 😁

It was nice to hear him speak directly to the matter. He did not hold back or mince his words. He makes some valid points. It does appear that some changes need to be made in the front office; not because of how Aaron has been ignored, although that is a part of it, but when he read that list of names….as a fan, that had a huge impact on me. Every name on that list….great guys, the types of guys every team needs on and off the field. I still feel that Adam Schefter was the driving force for blowing this thing up. Teams may have made offers for trades, but the thing that is crystal clear now is that he was either retiring or playing in Green Bay. And from what he was saying today, retirement was only a small thought.

Aaron has 2 years remaining on his current contract, with an option for the 23 season. Under the current deal, he will be a UFA in 24.

The bar has been raised, but there are still some things that have not been done yet. Beat OSU is likely highest on the short list. Getting to and winning a major bowl follow that. Beyond that, beating Michigan and Penn State in back to back season would be another step up.

While I could say I KNEW this all along, it was just a hunch. There were many more reasons TO play in Green Bay than not. That said, I would like to see him actually address what all REALLY went on. It is undeniable there WAS something to the story; but what exactly was it? I would also guess that if he does show up to camp, the deal with Adams will be done shortly after.

I think of them when I talk about what I would like to see happen. I know it never will, but do feel it should. If East Allen would consolidate into one, MAYBE two high schools, they could go in with the larger SAC schools, along with Warsaw to form a new 5A/6A conference. Wishful thinking, I know.

Just some history though….Government stepping in is what created the NCAA. Not saying I disagree, just adding perspective.

As Jerry Lee once said…whole lotta shakin goin on how quickly will the landscape change? SEC leadership is way ahead of the game.

Might even see teams like Vandy and Mizzou looking to move.

That would be the death knell for the Big 12. My guess is the top teams left would go to the Pac 12? Maybe the Eastern most teams in the B1G? West VA to the ACC?
