  1. Nice win for IU. They answered when they needed to...with scores as well as sacks and turnovers. I did not seeing so many deep shots in the 3rd quarter. Underneath routes were wide open. But, I will take that W any day. Great job Coach Allen and staff getting these guys ready.
  2. I got to see my first ND usc game in person last season....Mike Collins has been great on the PA for so many years, but LOVED hearing the weather report, followed by "Trojan fans, you are NOT in Southern California".
  3. I do think this is the end of the road for Harbaugh. It’s not just the loss to MSU, or just the losses to OSU; his record in rivalry games is not good. The issue with Meyer is longevity....that and he is an Ohio native. I don’t see him getting another coaching job. One name to keep am eye on though is in Ohio......Luke Fickell.
  4. That last play for Rutgers.....wow, that was great. Two games and two season highlight plays that IU is a part of....not too shabby lol
  5. IU has a couple of bad penalties for roughing the QB that kept drives alive and lead to points for Rutgers. Have to clean that up. Rutgers defense making some mistakes as well. Love seeing Philyor in the slot position though....so tough to cover any way...from the slot, it is even tougher.
  6. Just announced on FS1, Trevor Lawrence is not playing next week.
  7. The slow start was a bit annoying. Great defense in the 2nd quarter. I love seeing Scott get more touches so far in this game.
  8. For the two programs, you have a point as far as who had the bigger win for themselves. BUT, the bigger win from the outside looking in goes to IU. Penn State was a much higher ranked team than Michigan State. That is all I based the opinion on. Sure, MSU beat Michigan, but Michigan just is not very good. Minnesota’s defense looks like an IU defense under Wilson so far in two games. I still don’t think MSU is a very good team.
  9. In my mind I ask, who had the bigger win and looked more impressive doing so? To me it is a no brainer, and not because I am an IU fan. ESPN CGD keeps saying Rutgers defense forced 7 turnovers. I call BS.....MSU could not take care of the ball. I will add there is no way that MSU is on par with PSU. As far as this game goes, the edge goes to IU. I am looking forward to see how they respond to a signature win.
  10. With the apology written by the author of this topic, about this topic, I am locking this.
  11. I went ahead and edited the topic title.
  12. And has just spiraled downward enough to just say good bye to it.
  13. OK...except for THAT call. Great job continuing to fight by the Hoosiers
  14. Big Ten review crew SUCKS!!!! Way too many mistakes in this; but it is consistent over the years when it comes to IU games.
  15. Year after year after year after year after year.....this is soooooo frustrating. Scott needs to be more of a factor in play calling.
  16. Impressive first half for the Hoosiers. It took a couple huge breaks for them to be up 10...I'll take it.
  17. With the regular season being over officially on the sub varsity level tomorrow, it's time to lock this one down. Thank you to all who contributed and kept us up to date. Being a part of a program that had to look for an alternative, it was great having this as a resource. Best of luck to all teams in the playoffs.
  18. Similar to previous topics; keep your personal opinions (includes political views, conversations about politicians on the National, State, and local level; infection rate stats; mortality stats; and all the other nonsense that has shut down so many other topics this season) out of the conversation. Whether you think it is a good idea to do or not is irrelevant. Yes it is sad to see kids lose their season and careers end, but it is a reality and balancing act many schools are dealing with. As someone stated, let's avoid rumors. If there is a link, then please include it. Best of luck to everyone in the playoffs.
  19. I was able to watch an Irish game from opening kick to the end. Nice to see the tradition of huge ends goes on. I was pleasantly surprised with the play of Ian Book as well. His pocket presence was solid. He was able to look off receivers, and find safety valves. A solid run game makes it nice for him as well. Travis could be a stud for the Noles, but man, he did take some shots. They have to keep him healthy. The Irish defense looked solid. You expect a D1 program with the talent that FSU has to put together a couple of drives. Outside of that, great pass rush, especially on a mobile qb. All that said, Clemson looks REALLY good.
  20. I was an assistant at Cathedral when I learned of this rule. We had practiced it two times every day all season. We get to week 8, and try it. It was the first time we had perfectly executed it. As soon as our player caught it, the flag came out. I was coaching a JV game a few years ago, and the team we were playing pulled it off. I tried explaining to the official that the call is kick catch interference. I was not yelling, but asked how it is not. He was not hearing it. I told him as he walked off the field I will bet you a case of beer I was right. I have not heard from him since.
  21. Yep...if it has not hit the ground or a player on the receiving team, they cannot recover it. I am curious if a player on the kicking team can bat/tip/touch it? I am assuming no since the penalty is kick catch interference?
  22. Fred Flintstone's daughter? 😄
  23. I remember chuckling when one of the mouths on ESPN said that the franchise would never recover from the Super Bowl loss to the Patriots. I thought, c'mon man. But now I begin to wonder a bit.
  24. Zero to really limited crowds may impact the home field advantage of some teams in the conference.
  25. The Hoosiers usually give Penn State and Michigan a good run for their money. For that matter, they have given OSU fits as well....not every year, but a good number of them recently. I would LOVE to see them get one or two of those games finally. I think they beat Rutgers, Michigan State, and Purdue. Who knows where that gets them in the rankings, but overall, the West is weak; not even close to the East, so whoever IU ends up playing that last game could be an additional win.
