Someone who is better at Math than me is wanting to figure out what the likelihood of this post being factual is. How many people in the plant you work at? How many siblings are married? And all of these people live in the Central Indiana or even Metro Indy area? Metro meaning the surrounding counties, Central an even wider range. For those that are math geniuses here, you can help as well; there are 6.327 positive cases in Marion County. The surrounding counties have 3,609 positive cases. That means the metro area has a total of 9,936 positive cases. So, what are the odds that the 77 people Howe mentioned above and apparently talked to today (right along with every person who works in the same plant he does), know no one who has tested positive.

Your claims before, and in this post lead to one conclusion. Continuing to make the distinction between democrats who know people and republicans who don't know anyone, pushes the narrative that the virus is a hoax. Without looking it up, I am guessing the words you used here; exaggerating or outright fabricating the truth are part of the definition of the word hoax.

The ONLY reason to separate people who may know someone with the virus, or who has died as a result, is to push the narrative of the virus itself being a hoax. There is no logical , or even a common sense reason for making that distinction. One of my professors from IUPUI passed away last week. Paul Loggan, the AD at North Central passed away; while not a close friend, he definitely was not an unfamiliar face. We were in the same parish in Indy for a number of years. The previous principal in our high school was on life support because of it. While he survived, he has a LONG road to recovery ahead of him; and possibly permanent damage to his lungs as a result. A friend from the Northern part of FW here, was never admitted to the hospital, but had it early on, and is still struggling to get back to 100%. I have a high school friend who lost a parent because of it. So, is it REALLY that hard to believe that people here (regardless of them being democrat or republican) know someone with it or who has passed as a result? I am not surprised there are individuals who don't know someone yet...........yet.

Or as Barry Alvarez would say, once a kid verbally commits, the REAL recruiting begins.

I apologize if I gave the impression that your thinking was insane. I disagreed with the idea of moving the season to the Spring, but I am perfectly fine with ideas that are outside the box. My feeling is that outside the box will be more and more of a necessity for the next couple years at least.

Right.......and as every coach has a responsibility....know your kids. We have a lot who are simply stuck at home, and sadly, not even safe there. Our kids are excited to have these zoom meetings. It will only be our second one to do.

Initially, I agreed with that sentiment, and stated as such after Favre ended up in Minnesota. But these last few years, I am actually thinking the opposite is true. Just something that seems off with him; going back to the Olivia Munn days, and him alienating his family.

I really hope so. I know that Rodgers was not really treated well by Favre. Favre was very open about his thinking it was not his job to bring Aaron along.

It is a shame that smaller, locally owned places have been run out, not just in grocery stores, but think hardware, furniture, pet stores. Thankfully, restaurants still provide plenty of local options. As far as Kroger goes, I will say it is so worth it to me to pay an extra $9.95 to have them delivered, to simply avoid the chaos.

That is likely a correct assumption. I know a number of people in other roles that get an extra prep because of the time commitment involved with the program or club. Student council reps, department chairs, other head coaches(not just football), association presidents, and marching band director Are just a few that come to mind.

No need to be so sensitive there lol.....I was just stating that there is more to it than just the numbers we see, and things that contribute to it. I said small bump simply because the State limits just how much of a pay increase one receives because they have a Master’s degree. In no way, shape, or form did I even try to imply that was a reason for the entire difference in pay. Also, as I stated, every stipend is posted for the public to see. It has to be a part of every contract. I gave two examples after just spending 5 minutes looking.

Just finished Season 5 of Fear........I like the mindset of focusing on the future; but the way this season ended was frustrating. I am not a fan of Ginny. I guess that means she is a great actress to actually hater her, right? It seems people are pretty tight lipped about what happens to Morgan. I think the show will struggle without him, but I don't see how he gets out of the spot he is in.

You can go to the district sites to see what the stipends are exactly. They are part of every district contract, and are typically found under the Human Resources section. I looked up Pike's real quick, and $13,000 is the stipend for the Head coaches in Football, Boys' BBall, and Girls' BBall. Carmel's stipends are based on a percentage of the salary of a beginning teacher.

Is Coach Moore still the head coach for the track team as well? I get that on the surface these look high. I think people need to consider that part of the pay is going to based on all that a coach earns as a teacher. A coach may have a Master's degree that gets a small bump in pay. Personal perspective on the coaching pay. years ago, I received a 1099 Miscellaneous form for my pay. So, I sat down and figured my mileage from the school I was in to the building I coached. Including weight training 3 days a week, I spent 185 days doing something with the football team. That included the Summer workouts as well. Since then, I have kept track, and can say when the Summer rules expanded, the pay for most did not. I do know some districts will compensate their coaches for the time they spend in the Summer. That may factor in as well. Bottom line; similar to what we have to tell the politicians when it comes to education; there is more to the story than just numbers.

The questions I have are 1. Was there someone available that could help the team NOW? 2. Would Love have been around for the 2nd round pick? My thinking is the answer to both is yes. Based on the pick, there is something I wondered most of last season. The message is clear in my mind to Rodgers. You signed your last contract with this team. You won't be pushed out the door; you will play out this contract, but that is it. There were a couple games early last season that made me wonder if LaFleur and Rodgers were ever really on the same page. There were a couple of moments in multiple games with the offense coming off the field; the look on both of their faces was just odd. LaFleur looked pissed, and A A Ron looked bored; had that Cutler face....Bears fans know what I mean. 😄 I remember thinking then this is not going to end well. Aaron was able to get rid of one coach; he is at the point in his career that it will NOT happen again. So, that leads me to wonder just how motivated will Aaron be this season, or even next.

Just curious.......As an official, how much of a nightmare would scheduling of officials be if the football season shifted to a Spring season?

I am not a fan of the shift either. It literally leaves little time for an off season for the following year.
