  1. Back in the day, playing in the mud was fun, and to add on to what Dumfries said, and looking at the picture Thor posted, restoring a field back to good condition is very expensive. That includes the number of man hours involved in the work. And it may take years to fully restore it. Until it is restored, the field is useless. Schools that cannot afford to fully restore a field, will do patchwork repair. That, in my opinion, puts student athletes at far greater risk than the turf. Too many have these visions of their schools having had perfect fields like many NFL and college teams have, and that just is not the case. In the bigger picture, the new turf fields are safer, and save districts money.
  2. This is great...TP answers what happened Pat and Ike Taylor discussing it. All of this is great stuff.
  3. I had forgotten about this gem. Language is DEFINITELY NSFW, but this is a great story.
  4. Which is nice
  5. I am too old for this shit lol What a dominant first half for Green Bay. Credit to Todd Bowles and the Tampa defense for adjusting in the 2nd half. HUGE mistakes with Jones fumbling into the end zone when they could have put it out of reach early, and then the running into the kicker....thought the guy was thrown into him. But Tampa D adjusted, the Packers O did not. I think that seems to be a consistent theme against teams with a good defense. LaFleur finds something that works and can maximize on it in the first half, but has nothing in the bag for the 2nd half. There were more check down plays with guys open. That is a first to see this season. And that Tampa punter.....holy cow. He kept them in the game as much as the defense did.
  6. Looks like only 10 players on the field and only 6 on the LOS....assuming the number 3 receiver on the near side is on. If there is a 3rd guy on the line up top, it looks ok. But with only 6 on the line, it's an illegal formation. I am wondering, since you included the end zone view, were you thinking there is another issue?
  7. and Chris Jones
  8. The fins are in 1st by themselves in the AFC East. Raiders are 0-3....Is Adams missing A A Ron? hmmm The Lions may ruin the season for a few teams as this season progresses. Came close today
  9. Gritty performance by the Colts today. That is a good win.
  10. Down goes OU to K State. fun game to watch.
  11. OK, how cool is THIS?
  12. This page has IU at 673 losses. I wonder why there is such a difference??? https://www.sports-reference.com/cfb/schools/indiana/index.html
  13. The bottom 3 teams are all big ten teams now. Northwestern has just `10 less than IU and Rutgers has 15 less. Those 3 teams are also well over 1200 games. Interesting to see that Rutgers has played the most games at 1383 and has the most seasons played at 151. That 151 is 9 games more than Michigan who has the 2nd most.
  14. Clemson survives the late comeback by Wake to send it to OT. Miami loses to Middle Tennessee State. Some great videos from the monsoon in the parking lot. Minnesota easily handles MSU....Looking like Minnesota is the best in the West division?
  15. Texas loses in OT
  16. UC gets pressure late with just a 4 man rush. The o line continues to be a glaring weakness.
  17. 28 points given up in the 2nd quarter is inexcusable. While they have played well late in this game, the hole they put themselves in is too deep. I have only seen the 2nd half, but Bazelak has been off target most of the half. UC's QB getting banged up seems to have had an impact on their offense this half.
  18. So, I was kinda right in one of the scenarios here......so I got that goin for me.........which is nice.
  19. The holding and invalid signal offset. The delay of game is enforced from the previous spot; so, the penalty yards give K a 1st down.
  20. This is well written. Albert Pujols has been a Cubs killer for a LONG time. But rivalries are trivial at best in moments like this. Any fan of sports can be happy for him reaching this milestone. The reception he gets from the LA crowd and team is great to see as well. https://www.bleachernation.com/cubs/2022/09/24/when-a-chicago-cubs-fan-sees-albert-pujols-reach-700-home-runs/?fbclid=IwAR3TwRJfIkOTJO7_M24Mx0cp2qgDCYHDKBewQnvVVOQ336MI4kAQhbVAKbM
  21. More than likely that is where. I guess some may have ended up at WC as well though.
  22. He was referring to where Mithoeffer T's into Prospect. Creston is just East of that point. Marshall is at 38th and Mitthoefer; 6 miles from Creston There was some conversation about a 2nd school even when I was at WC. I still believe a number of school districts in Indy looked at Lawrence Township schools.....and the struggle of the athletic teams at that time to decide they would not add an additional school.
