  1. Coach Allen is quoted on ESPN as it being a serious injury.
  2. One thing that came to mind that impressed me with the defense was the number of passes broken up by the defensive backs for the Irish.
  3. Give credit to BC; they came to win, and it looked good early on. This was a sloppy game for the Irish, in all phases of the game. Missed tackles, big penalties and turnovers need to be cleaned up. I like seeing the passing game to the backs out of the back field, and the short throws to their tight ends. They did not seem to be going deep as much as they did against Clemson. Book being a bigger part of the run game was big as well.
  4. The question those programs have to ask is who replaces them? Especially for Michigan. Is there a big name, successful coach looking to move to the next level? Penn State is in a similar boat. Minnesota has not had much success over the years, so no need for a big time hire. Of the 3, I think Fleck is the safest one. But he and Franklin are experiencing a bad year for the first time. I don't think Harbaugh is safe. Maybe if they beat OSU????
  5. There was definitely a whistle right at the snap of the ball.
  6. Penix throws for 248 yards in the first half....wow. Impressive first half by the Hoosiers; but even after MSU beat Michigan, I did not think they were a good team. Would like to see similar numbers in the second half.
  7. Thomas' reputation partly comes from a couple of things.......first, being part of the bad boys of Detroit hurt. Next, there is the walking off the court after the Bulls beat them without shaking hands. But what really hurt Isiah's image was his off court issues; especially with regard to female employees of his. I am sure MJ had his off court issues, but he seemed to do a better job keeping a lid on things; or maybe he did a better job of controlling himself??? I say this as having never been a fan of MJ. As an IU huy as well, I did love Isiah, but HATED the Pistons.
  8. I think Lawrence is more of a threat in the run game; something we did not see DJ do last night. There were several times, ND had left an escape lane with just one step up by the QB with a lot of green in front of him.
  9. Nice comeback win. Loved the defensive pressure in OT.
  10. This Clemson game is extremely frustrating to watch. I do not get the constant chances deep. How many times has Book completed one? Get first downs and keep the chains and clock moving. Also, at the end of the first half, Book was a factor in called run plays. What happened to those? The play that got them the big lead early has disappeared.
  11. Nice win for IU. They answered when they needed to...with scores as well as sacks and turnovers. I did not seeing so many deep shots in the 3rd quarter. Underneath routes were wide open. But, I will take that W any day. Great job Coach Allen and staff getting these guys ready.
  12. I got to see my first ND usc game in person last season....Mike Collins has been great on the PA for so many years, but LOVED hearing the weather report, followed by "Trojan fans, you are NOT in Southern California".
  13. I do think this is the end of the road for Harbaugh. It’s not just the loss to MSU, or just the losses to OSU; his record in rivalry games is not good. The issue with Meyer is longevity....that and he is an Ohio native. I don’t see him getting another coaching job. One name to keep am eye on though is in Ohio......Luke Fickell.
  14. That last play for Rutgers.....wow, that was great. Two games and two season highlight plays that IU is a part of....not too shabby lol
  15. IU has a couple of bad penalties for roughing the QB that kept drives alive and lead to points for Rutgers. Have to clean that up. Rutgers defense making some mistakes as well. Love seeing Philyor in the slot position though....so tough to cover any way...from the slot, it is even tougher.
  16. Just announced on FS1, Trevor Lawrence is not playing next week.
  17. The slow start was a bit annoying. Great defense in the 2nd quarter. I love seeing Scott get more touches so far in this game.
  18. For the two programs, you have a point as far as who had the bigger win for themselves. BUT, the bigger win from the outside looking in goes to IU. Penn State was a much higher ranked team than Michigan State. That is all I based the opinion on. Sure, MSU beat Michigan, but Michigan just is not very good. Minnesota’s defense looks like an IU defense under Wilson so far in two games. I still don’t think MSU is a very good team.
  19. In my mind I ask, who had the bigger win and looked more impressive doing so? To me it is a no brainer, and not because I am an IU fan. ESPN CGD keeps saying Rutgers defense forced 7 turnovers. I call BS.....MSU could not take care of the ball. I will add there is no way that MSU is on par with PSU. As far as this game goes, the edge goes to IU. I am looking forward to see how they respond to a signature win.
  20. With the apology written by the author of this topic, about this topic, I am locking this.
  21. And has just spiraled downward enough to just say good bye to it.
  22. OK...except for THAT call. Great job continuing to fight by the Hoosiers
  23. Big Ten review crew SUCKS!!!! Way too many mistakes in this; but it is consistent over the years when it comes to IU games.
