  1. Do you not trust Pioneer? What makes you think that Knox will actually win?
  2. Personally, I'm more afraid of an 8 foot tall hot dog man chasing after me than a 10 inch tall Chihuahua nipping at my ankles.
  3. Looks like he got under your skin.
  4. Brissett completed his first 16 passes vs ATL and looked like a wizard in doing so. ATL struggles a bit defensively and this obviously isn't the norm, but it's great to know that Brissett is capable of playing at a high level.
  5. Pioneer 60 Indianapolis Crispus Attucks 8 Pioneer was up 28-0 by the end of the 1st quarter.
  6. They needed to add a team better than North White.
  7. My favorite Colt was Griff Whalen until this play. https://youtu.be/wGNr3Yef-2A Link only for suspense.
  8. That would work and would be in my backyard, although 4A Western might crush Pioneer in a few sports or when they're down. Maybe take away HH and add Peru and Maconaquah for 8.
  9. Apparently the Indy front office wants to keep Vinny around. Personally, I'm not sure if the alternatives are any better with it being week 3.
  10. Out of pure selfishness, I would love to see a team South of Pioneer join, due to the fact that I live an hour South of Pioneer and as of now I make it to 1-2 games a year. Luckily I have RTCTV4 to watch.
  11. Nope. If Brohm takes Purdue to a Rose Bowl in a few years I'm sure that the blue bloods will be coming. I personally think that Brohm will stay a long time. Worst case I think one of his family members stays and continues Jeff's work.
  12. My only qualm about the MWC currently is that the majority of the schools in that conference have major issues with very low numbers. Some of those programs are only a few unfortunate injuries from canceling their seasons or canceling a game or two, plus the 1A schools in the MWC have got to be consolidation risks. I guess it's a risk worth taking though from a competitive standpoint. It just amazes me how fortunate Pioneer has been lately with the talent of some of their programs, despite having an enrollment of 270ish. Pioneer had state finals appearances in three sports last year alone. It's crazy because a lot of the surrounding 1A schools struggle to even compete in many sports.
  13. No doubt, good days are on the horizon! Unfortunately there are already people out there talking about replacing Brohm. Those people obviously don't follow the program very closely.
  14. I've read reports that IU OL Coy Cronk was going to transfer to Purdue due to wanting to be closer to one of his grandparents, but then said grandparent passed away, so Cronk decided to stay at IU. If Cronk had transferred and Mendez had stayed, Purdue's line would be a strength.
  15. I like the old MWC, but I'm glad that Pioneer got out of it when they did. Their schedule this year, if still in the old MWC, would probably be the worst in the state. It would have included Caston, North White, South Newton, Tri-County, and West Central, all programs that are extremely down this season. Pioneer would win all of these games by 60+.
  16. Pioneer score was very close to your prediction!
  17. Pioneer 72 Caston 6 with 4 minutes left in the 4th.
  18. I expect big things out of North Judson in the future. HC Lambert was a star in the glory days of Bluejay football and is the former DC, so look for them to be a tough out in the next decade.
  19. The Caston vs West Central game was a good one and Caston had a chance to win at the end.
  20. Honestly I thought that LaVille was well coached and had a few standouts, but I didn't see the speed that others were raving about. The LaVille QB is a good player and was very adept at avoiding the Panther pass rush. It is nearly impossible for one player to sack him.
  21. As good as LaVille has been, they haven't played Pioneer particularly well since the HNAC was formed. There have been years in which Pioneer and Laville have been evenly matched on paper, but Pioneer blew them out.
  22. Pioneer's biggest issue is that they started with two injured OL/DL, one who is out for the season. Then on their first drive of the night they lost another, so they were playing a top ten 2A team without three two-way linemen. Two of those players will be back next week.
  23. He went to Pioneer, which is still my pick for 2A champ.
  24. It hasn't been updated yet, but when accounting for the fact that Pioneer scored 932 points last season, it is second all time nationally for points scored in a season and smashed the former Indiana record of 811 points set by the 1988 Sheridan team. I knew that Pioneer led the nation in points scored last season, but I didn't know that it even ranked in the top ten all time, let alone second. Pioneer scored 932 points last season and allowed only 49. Most dominant 1A team ever. https://nfhs.org/RecordBook/Record-book-result.aspx?CategoryId=23
