  1. I would think this is including summer months. There is roughly 9 weeks of school left in most areas with spring break, then 8 or 9 weeks of summer break. So i do think there is good chance they first close it down for the year and start in mid/late August. My wife is a 4th grade teacher and it is difficult to know what will happen after the next 4 weeks. There are 3 weeks till spring break, so my girl in PHM was first told 2 weeks, but I'm hearing now the soonest will be week after spring break, 4-13. The problem with some districts don't yet have e-learning, so that will pretty much equal free pass to students that don't have, will be to hard to enforce if or if they don't do work.
  2. I respect your opinion. I agree that the CDC and WHO would be best provider of info.
  3. Yeah, I was meaning media as all inclusive; news on TV, internet, social, etc.
  4. You may be missing my point. I didn't say the CDC was overreacting, I did so precautions are a good idea. And I didn't say anything about media imploring people to stock up. The constant media coverage and is leading people to go out and hoard food and essentials, IMO. I guess since most things are at a stand still they need something to report on. The biggest pandemic in modern times did not cause this massive hysteria.
  5. No travel for me till at least the first of April. Traveling salesman as they say. Glad I postponed trip to the left coast.
  6. This is being overblown by social media. I think taking these precautions are a good idea, but lets not go overboard. The first influenza pandemic was recorded in 1580, and since then, influenza pandemics occurred every 10 to 30 years. When all is said and down, probably mid summer, it will probably be similar to the swine flu. This pandemic killed around half a million people worldwide. It caused about 12,000 deaths in the United States. I don't recall all these precautions in 2009 with Obama. In fact, the media barely covered this.
  7. Probably not, this will be a 3-4 month thing. I feel additional restrictions are coming next week within US borders. Stock up on essentials and make sure you keep your tank is full of gas.
  8. No reports up in North Dakota, they are open for business and vacation fun.
  9. It was a "thinning" of the herd.
  10. Germ warfare started by China, could be with Iranian and North Korea backing?? Putin may have a hand in as well.
  11. I think since Scott had such a great Freshmen season, he certainly was favorite to be starter in 2019??
  12. IU beats Nebraska they are in. They lose they are out. I think it is a simple equation at this point.
  13. Wayne and Spuller are cookie cutter type, very blend and no personality to them.
  14. I didn't know if that was an option. If he doesn't see fit at other places that pursue him, but player decides to stay. But, would team want that player back is also a big if !!
  15. That is really disappointing, I was just thinking IU had its feature back for 2-3 years. Any chance he stays??
  16. Didn't know about that big of a shift at Penn. That said, I think the Elkhart Lions will be a challenge year in and year out for Penn. Can they beat them a few times here and there, probably, but doubt they dethrone them.
  17. IMO, Snider will likely be heading to 5A after the 2020 season. Homestead had it's chance last year. They finally beat Snider in regular season and looked good. Then came Carmel and they got manhandled, maybe that game against Noblesville really did expose them as being the best team in an average, at best SAC league. I expect Carroll to be top dog in SAC next year, surprise team next year, Northside. With Snider, big question is who gets the call at QB.
  18. All FBS schools have same number of scholarships, 85.
  19. I would agree, but only on years when the groundhog sees his shadow.
  20. No impact at smaller schools will be seen. Fake news !!
  21. The point is "when they are offered a PW they have a choice to go there or not" . So the kid can go there and try to get playing time at a P5 school, or go the other route; non P5, FCS, D2, D3 or NAIA.
  22. So, the kids are then forced to go there when they get the PW??
