They had more swagger in the "good ole" days. That's the only difference I can see.

There was a definite order to the SAC back in the older days.  Was it the Rod Woodson camp?  Was it the neighborhoods that fed in?  Was it the coaching?  Was it intangible?  Are the outside influences making the other teams better?  Elmhurst and Harding exit, Carroll and Homestead enter....  Some sure wins aren't so sure anymore.

If this comes to pass the drive between Frankfort and Jay County is a ball buster, especially with $4 gallons of gas.  The IHSAA would need to kick in a gas stipend for such a ridiculous drive.  Or maybe both sides could agree on a neutral site, say at Alexandria, Frankton, or Elwood.

Nah, I used to drive FW to Frankfort every day to work.  Haha.  Once in a while is a piece of cake.

Who you talking about, not sure what high school is on SE side of FWA

You're right.  I was wrong!  I grew up SE and still think of where the people in my neighborhood went to school.  I'm not sure where Wayne's boundaries pull from anymore.    There really aren't any SE high schools in FW. .  I guess I was thinking Luers and Wayne.  That might be South and SW.   My mistake.  Covid Fog?

Yes no one has played Harding in years. 😊

Yeah, my bad.  I moved Northeast.  Luers and Wayne...I mean.  I'll see if I can adjust.  Nope, can't delete it.    South East FW kids go to:  Wayne, SS, Northrop, North Side, Concordia, Luers, Dwenger, Snider, and New Haven, Heritage mostly, I'd bet.

Congratulations. So am I. Hope they do it legally and become American citizens.

They are going to come across the way that Mexico and the US are allowing them to come now.  They'll play the game exactly as it is being played now.  Everyone is being stopped, some are allowed to continue without official visas.  If I was in a similar situation, I would be tempted to do the same.  I have lived in Ecuador and Colombia and have spent months in Peru.  Those are terrific places, but there are reasons that certain people come to the USA.

Look for the Mouse to take this all the way to at least the Florida Supreme Court.

So does this mean the Orange and Osceola county governments now have to take over the functions and services that the Reedy Creek Improvement District has been providing for the last 50 years?  That should be a smooth and seamless transition.........................

That will be interesting...and at what cost and who bears that cost?

Sure glad I paid my taxes so the POTUS can send another $800 million in "aide" to Ukraine, yet our southern border is being infiltrated by the thousands daily.

He is proving he cares more about other people than Americans.

I have friends in South America thinking about making the trek.  I'm a good Christian, my house is open.

    Agreed.

As an anecdote a relative of mine recently told me he filed an FOIA request with the FBI, asking to see if they had "file" on him.   The FBI responded back with a four-page long letter full of legalese basically saying "no, we don't".

I then told him "Well now the FBI does have a file on you."  🙂

Sounds like an Asst Principal job description to me.

Fact is, many coaches have had this position created for them as a condition of them taking the job in the first place.  It happens all over the country, but most often you will see the HFC/DOS combination.

Like someone else said, a way to squeeze someone in who may not have an admin license.  I wonder what the pay is...  The public pay was pretty good. Who knows how many hats he really wore.  I get as many extra hours as I can, for sure, so my yearly pay is way over that of my contract.

And then there were seven. Snider and Zionsville eliminated.

Ben Davis, Dwenger, Luers, Cathedral, Chatard, Roncalli, and Penn.

And Luers and Dwenger will have wins and losses against other teams that were in and off of that list in many of those years, but someone will point out 2A and 3A titles.  Yes, but they may have beaten Snider in 5A that year or insert school of choice here.  Everything after the but is BS.

What exactly does a "Dean of Students" do at a small 1A or 2A school?  Isn't that job a bit redundant?

Umm, where do you teach?  Maybe kids are different there.

A little bit more to it, too:

    • Assist building principals with disciplinary issues
    • Maintain and track attendance records (6th-12th)
    • Attend truancy and attendance meetings
    • Communicate and with parents regarding academic and behavioral concerns
    • Schedule and oversee after-school detentions and in-school suspensions
    • Support classroom teachers regarding classroom management concerns
    • Assist Building Principals and Athletic Director with extracurricular supervision
    • Mentor at-risk students who are in need of additional support
    • Additional supervision duties assigned by the Principals

"Lol" was my reaction as well. It just kind of left me speechless.

Giving credit where credit is due, his list included some really good programs. I just don't know how you can include the likes of Bloomington South and Center Grove, but not Luers, Dwenger, and Snider. At the end of the day, I think there are approximately 25 programs that could make a case for Blue Blood status. The best post I've seen so far is the spreadsheet that was derived from a point system.

    1. Chatard

    2. Cathedral

    3. Luers

    4. Carmel

    5. Ben Davis

    6. Roncalli

    7. Dwenger

    8. Penn

    9. Sheridan

    10. Hobart

    11. Warren Central

    12. Ritter

    13. Snider

    14. LLC

    15. Center Grove

    16. Jimtown

    17. Andrean

    18. Mater Dei

    19. Tri-West Hendricks

    20. Northwood

    21. Evansville Memorial

    22. Adams Central

    23. West Layfayette

    24. Franklin Central

    25. Columbus East

That's a pretty good Top 25 if you ask me. Some will ask where Bloomington South, Pioneer, and New Pal reside. All three would be included in a Top 30. Zionsville comes in at 32, Lowell at 35, and Heritage Hills at 36. I guess we can all look at the ranking and come up with our own conclusion as to who is a Blue Blood and who isn't.

This is the list should be used to shut the P/P/P/C/O/C/V/OB complainer-people up.

I deeply apologize. I didn’t realize this was the end all list of the blue blood programs of Indiana high school football. I need to do better.

A true fan would recognize that the whole state has good teams.

As I said, you don't understand.  It is ok.  I will take the blame and say I did not explain it to your level.  Should I differentiate my instruction for you?

I know what I said.  I know it is "voluntary", but there is ANOTHER step I need to take to NOT have my money used for political reasons.

Teachers unions are an arm of the democrat party.  Disagree?  Prove it.

This paragraph says it all about the type of person you are.   I know, you'll sleep tight.

I really didn’t want to get down in the weeds on this, because you can’t reason with people who aren’t interested in the right answer unless it fits with their ideology. But I have poor impulse control.

Sometimes the hardest things to know … are what you don’t know. And if you’re not really interested in the correct answer, you don’t really have much motivation to find out. Instead, you end up seeing things as always black and white, with a clear cut answer (yours), and everything else is clearly and irredeemably wrong. You become constitutionally incapable of open-mindedness. “Often wrong, but never in doubt.” And you end up ignoring actual science. That puts you on a par with the mouth breathers crowing about Judge Jackson’s answer in the confirmation hearings. Turns out Judge Jackson’s answer was a lot more accurate than the (intentionally) uninformed realize.

    https://www.scientificamerican.com/article/sex-redefined-the-idea-of-2-sexes-is-overly-simplistic1/

The article is lengthy, and in places, highly technical, so I did not reproduce it here. But it outlines the complexity that can attend that “simple” question “How do you define a woman?” But, you have to have an open mind to appreciate that.

Sex Redefined: The Idea of 2 Sexes Is Overly Simplistic

Biologists now think there is a larger spectrum than just binary female and male

I teach in a school where kids cry in my room at least 2-3 times a week.  Guess what kind of teachers they have?  A few like those on these pages.  Closed minded folks shouldn't teach.  My biology teachers in a tiny Christian college in Indiana told us about 30 years ago that there was a lot of fuzziness in sex due to many factors.  Why is it so hard for these people today?  That was 3 decades ago.  There are e helluva lot of smart people out there.  I think I better go buy a pillow.
