Have you ever taught in the inner city of Las Vegas?

I know that I've taught at Paul Harding High School, Navajo Nation, Colombia and Ecuador, South America.  Where I teach now, some of these teachers would cry at those other schools.  No offense to them.  Some would thrive.

I don't think they gave data from the wrong year.  I can't recall Bremen ever having that high of an enrollment.

I find it interesting that the IHSAA keeps the announcement up on their website, but they remove the document linked to it.  Wouldn't it remove some confusion if they released a statement about the situation.

Ah, okay, I saw that comment on another site.  I haven't seen our AD or football coach to even ask him if he got a statement.    It certainly would remove some confusion.  There are lots of people here who could do a better job, but they wouldn't follow the good ol' boy system.

So their enrollments are higher when they want government funding and lower to classify for sports?  I mean this wouldn't surprise me at all.

Yeah, that's what the IDOE has done.  Hmm.  I think they just gave the information from the wrong year.  Until the IHSAA or the IDOE makes a statement, we can all make reasons.

The link is gone again.. They must be correcting it again... I've seen Monkey $#!t fights as the zoo more organized than this... As my friend @Donnie Bakersays, I swear to God I have.

Why would the IHSAA just do something randomly...because people like DeSantis and Sharpe have influence?  I know Sharpe is a great guy and people swear DeSantis is, but I've worked with principals and ADs a long time...they do what they want, when they want, how they want....my opinion.

Oh, and the IHSAA is made of of a lot of former principals, AD's and the like.

They have a realignment committee that goes over the maps and assigns the tournament sites. It takes time to get the committees organized. Also, there are multiple sports to have to deal with and with the way the IHSAA now does classes, it means a completely different map for each sport (it used to be, baseball/softball/boys hoops/girls hoops/volleyball were all classified together, but now, each sport is classified separately and you have one or two schools that are, for example, 3A in boys hoops and 2A in girls hoops because of the enrollment cutoffs being different because not all schools offer girls basketball).

It's amazing to me that some states seem to be able to to it overnight and we decide to have committee after committee.

    Truth? Why is that important?

It's just a crock of crap that two guys had that much influence over a tournament.

Good old Frank DeSantis. Fire Up, Fire Up!!! He only gerrymandered the sectional because Bill Sharpe asked him to.

    Is that the whole truth?

    No way.

Sooooo many widows and orphans still out there......and souls yet to save.

My grandma would get so mad when I would tell her something similar....clutch the rosary my dear.  Reminds me of the time I was in Utah and the young lady asked the group why Brigham Young had so many living rooms/family home evenings and I was the poor non-LDS who blurted out that he had so many wives and kids to entertain.  Oops.  I respect all.  I thought that was the answer.   Lots of land and money in churches.  Lots of widows and orphans, as you've said.  I'm not as eloquent.

They have to figure if Ben Davis is a West, East, or Southside school this time around.

That's the kind of BS that happens.  Jimtown and Luers together.    Bremen cupcake.  Indy all messed up.  Cronyism.

I have not seen any reclassification or align devised by any numbers and geography experts for 2022-23 or 2023-24.  Do you have a link?

Our math teachers and geography teachers are pretty dog gone good.  Maybe I'm just thinking of past years.  The IHSAA will have their influencers much like the old AD at Bremen,  DeSantis,  pull their magic.  He used to make sure Bremen and Jimtown were not in the same football sectional.  Our people here are very good at mapping and guessing.

The trip was mostly likely paid for by rich Clinton County farmers, and maybe some fundraising by the cheerleaders themselves.  To my knowledge no taxpayer funds were spent on the boondoggle.  Do you have different information?

So the congratulations were false?  You think it was a boondoggle?  Unsure.  Downvote.  I'm sure missing those tacos in Frankfort.

Spoke with one of the ADs on the committee over the weekend at wrestling semi state, he stated that they have the 2nd set of enrollment numbers now from the DOE.  Will be checking them with the 1st set of DOE numbers to see if there are any numbers that do not match up.  If there is no funny business, they should have the new set of classifications by the end of the month or the start of March.

Ah, a 5 minute job in two weeks.  Classic!  🙂. Thanks for the information.

The way the season ended probably isn’t helping.

The kids' reactions to that Mississenewa kid's penalty probably aren't helping.  I keep forgetting to watch the IHSAA site to see if there is anything published about who gets to sit out next year.  Hopefully, some team steps up to play Wayne.
