Memorial will have to play a perfect game to have a chance. That still may not be enough.

So the 5:30 start didn’t help. If it starts at 7 TC is still in the game.

Brody out vs Jasper L and Castle natural grass in a rain and wind storm.
But yes, if we can’t run the ball…game over QB is a nice player but we have no chance if we rely on the passHopefully the Tigers can compete up front on both sides

MD will be making the 3 hr bus ride north to visit TC next weekend. The last time MD came calling back in 2019, TC was not all that hospitable, handing the Wildcats a big "L". If I recall, there was a bit of gamesmanship last time with MD asking to play on Saturday and TC responding with an 11 am start time. Such a thing might be used as a little motivation this week.
Stay tuned, we'll see...
Hope MD wins and wins big. TC should be embarrassed picking this start time.

Looks like Sam Ringer is out for EC. Sr. SS on D and ran some wildcat QB against Roncalli for 2 TDs.
Tough deal this time of year. Hopefully he has a speedy recovery.
2018 Memorial lost one of our best players during sectionals. IMO the best CB in the Siac that year. That injury IMO cost us back to back state titles. We were burned 3 times for 80 plus yard TD passes vs WL. We can say next man up but eventual the backup gets exposed.

Yeah, I don't think Memorial is scared of anyone at this point. When you get success factored up and continue to win at a high level you aren't trying to avoid anyone. To be honest, I'm sure they would prefer to be in 3A and not have East Central and potentially Roncalli ahead of them.
100%.

Interesting thought entered my mind the other day....is this one instance for Memorial where they are GLAD to be Success Factor'd up?? Meaning, they've avoided this years Gibson Southern team??
I know you've handled business against them in the past...but just wondering...
No. Lmao. Not sure a team that went to state 5 times in last 13 years is trying to avoid a challenge. Just ask Chatard.

To any Trojans making the drive to Evansville, here is some places to eat before the game nearby, either the night before or tailgating:
Kipplees on N Boeke RD
Turoni’s on N Weinbach Ave
Pizza by the Slice on Lincoln Ave
Steve’s Una Pizza on Washington Ave
There’s also a Little Ceaser’s on Washington too, for the tailgaters
Some options on Green River Road (intersects Washington):
Hoosier Burger
G D Ritzy’s
Azzip Pizza
Rafferty’s
Cheddars
Pangea off of Green River
On Burkhardt, one of my favorites for wings is Mister B’s and Drakes has great food too. And other options too
Hoosier Burger and Little Ceasers. 🤮

Congrats to Tigers and coaches. Ridiculous run the last 6 years and not done yet! 5 sectionals in last 6 years and 8 overall for Hurley.

How bout Bosse standing toe to toe with HH?

Memorial gonna be a tough out in sectional ship if they can get by Central.

Memorial shouldn’t have any problems with Central
It’s tournament time and I’m guessing the staff will remind players that Central has owned the Tigers the past few years. Something like 3-5 dating back to 2016 season.

And the Jasper football sectional drought continues.

Memorial and coach Hurley. 5 trips in 13 seasons. He’s pretty good at finding his way through the tournament. If they can find a way to beat Jasper anything is possible. He’s figured out how to win semi states when they are the underdogs.

This game should provide a good barometer to compare how much Jasper and Memorial have changed since week 1.
Memorial change started week 3 when Ray Brodie, Connor Agler, and John Shea came back after missing weeks 1 and 2. All 3 seniors and all 3 make big plays on both sides of the ball. Yes, Brodie started the game vs Jasper but went out with a concussion 1st D series. Ray is by far the most explosive RB in the league. Agler and Shea both are big hitters on D. I don’t care what happens Friday as long as the tigers stay healthy. Fingers crossed. I like our chances if the cats and tigers meet again.

Memorial is getting a nice upgrade on their weightlifting equipment
Looks great. Not sure many on here have any idea what the weight room looked like before this upgrade started. It’s was pathetic. Kudos to the staff for making great use of outdoor space and strength coach Keifer for his creativity in developing strength. Can’t leave out Marty Ohlson for meeting kids every morning that needed to lift. Big kudos to the players who never complained even after seeing far less successful teams facilities.
The 4A state ship banner/sign also looks great along with the 3A state ship banner.

Bosse could struggle the rest of the way. Sounds like 3 pretty good players have been dismissed for doing the new Tik Tok craze of vandalizing restrooms in school buildings. Kudos to the principal for having zero tolerance.
-
Memorial is a different team with Ray Brodie on the field. It’s been awhile since EM had a RB with his skill set. Power runner with big time break away speed. Agler, Brodie, and Shea brought some juice after missing weeks 1 and 2. I like a healthy EM vs a healthy Jasper week 10. JMO.

I don’t see it happening either. I’m just throwing it out there because it may become an elephant in the room as the season goes on.
Respectfully disagree. This is a good football team that needs to run the football 75% of the time. Caleb is perfect for the job. Great leader and he has his teammates trust. JMO but we are in trouble if we ask a 9the grader to lead this group. He made a nice pass vs Central’s backups in a blowout.

I can see him starting 2nd half, hopefully Ellspermann has a great 1H to boost his confidence up
Fishers starting 2nd half vs Harrison? I don’t see that happening.

TigerFan20 are you getting paid for play by play on the grid?

4A South SS- Mount Vernon at Memorial

Sounded like Saturday afternoon wasn’t going to work. Bosse hosting a big youth basketball tournament throughout the day. I heard Saturday start time would have to be after 5. Not 100% but that’s the info I got. I’m certainly not disappointed about an early Friday game.
Mt Vernon looks as good as any team Memorial has played since the 2017 state run. My top 4 opponents during this run for Memorial. 2018 WL, 2021 MT V, 2017 Danville , 2018 Chatard.
