  1. I expect a big scoring game also. South has a totally new defense which is bolstered by the arrival of the McCullough brothers and is still trying to work the kinks out. They gave up some big plays in the secondary against THN last Friday because of some mix ups/breakdowns in the secondary. I haven't seen North play yet, but they had difficulty in containing BNL's offense and gave up three huge plays and almost 500 yards to them. Both teams will score, so obviously, whoever can get enough stops will come out on top. North has an edge at both the QB and RB positions, so I'm also going to give them the nod in a close game that will be decided by penalties/turnovers, but aren't most games decided by that.
  2. For a few highly rated recruits, it's all about the $$$$$. You have the kid from Texas that reclassified and left for Ohio St., and I believe his last name is Ewers, and he signed a contract for $1.4 million over three years to basically sign autographs. He is probably an exception when it comes to that amount of money, since you have to be a highly rated recruit that has name recognition and is going to a high profile football school.
  3. This conference is sure one big puzzle. Trying to figure out who will finish last in the conference is probably as hard as trying to figure out who will win it.
  4. Yeah, the Panthers got off to a fast start and looked like they were going to run away with the game and then they started shooting themselves in the foot with major penalties and TH North didn't do themselves any favors either in the game. They had some defensive mix ups/breakdowns in the secondary tonight that needs to be addressed and I don't know what happened since you couldn't really get a good camera angle on what happened in the game.
  5. Edgewood 49 Indy Washington 18 (final)
  6. Bloomington South 36 Terre Haute North 20 (final) It was a penalty-marred game by both teams. South opened the game looking like a well-oiled machine in taking a 14-0 in the 1st, but then the mental mistakes with the penalties started, especially with the personal fouls, which allowed THN to come back and tie it. The penalties by both teams lasted the rest of the game as things got somewhat chippy out there. I lost track of how many 15 yard penalties that South had in the game, and THN had their share also.
  7. Bloomington South 36 Terre Haute North 20 (2:13, 4th) South scored on a pass play to extend the lead and pretty much seal the win.
  8. Bloomington South 29 Terre Haute North 20 (4:49, 4th) To show how this game has gone penalty-wise. A drive by THN was marred by 5 penalties, three major penalties on THN and two major penalties on South before South picked the ball to all but end it. There was 179 yards in penalties in the first half.
  9. Bloomington North 35 Terre Haute South 8 (final)
  10. Bloomington South 29 Terre Haute North 20 (7:40, 4th) After taking the lead on the safety, South ran the kick back to the THN 2 yard line and ran it in from there to take a two-score lead.
  11. Bloomington South 22 Terre Haute North 20 (7:58, 4th) South just took the lead on a safety as THN had a snap on a punt go over the head of the punter and through the end zone for the safety.
  12. Bloomington North 35 Terre Haute South 8 (2:30, 4th)
  13. Bloomington South 20 Terre Haute North 20 (9:18, 4th) South had the ball inside THN 6 yard line but failed to score and kicked a short FG to tie it. I question some of the play calling down in there.
  14. I know the Olympians have struggled, but it's still kind of a shock they would lose to the Owls.
  15. Bloomington North 35 Terre Haute South 0 (end of 3rd)
  16. Terre Haute North 20 Bloomington South 17 (3:19, 3rd) After THN took the lead, South went down the field and had the ball on the THN one yard line, but a bad snap resulted in lost yardage and they ended up having to kick a FG to cut the lead to three points.
  17. Terre Haute North 20 Bloomington South 14 (5:14, 3rd) THN has momentum now as South's opening drive of the 3rd died at the THN 27 yard line and then the Patriots went down the field to take the lead. (PAT was blocked)
  18. Columbus North 54 Southport 6 (9:28, 4th) CN just scored on a 68 yard INT return with obviously a running clock.
  19. Bloomington South 14 Terre Haute North 14 (half) South will get the ball when the 2nd half starts. South is probably getting chewed out in the locker room after blowing a 14 point lead to start the game by committing numerous major penalties (five 15-yarders by my count) that contributed to both of THN's scores, plus South had a TD pass called back for a major penalty after the pass had been completed. South didn't show hardly any of the mental errors they have had tonight in their first two games.
  20. Bloomington North 28 Terre Haute South 0 (half)
  21. Bloomington North 28 Terre Haute South 0 (2:00, 2nd)
  22. Bloomington South 14 Terre Haute North 14 (4:10, 2nd) South all of a sudden can't seem to play the game without getting major penalties that have aided THN two scores as the Patriots have managed to take advantage to tie the game.
  23. Bloomington North 21 Terre Haute South 0 (9:55, 2nd)
  24. Bloomington South 14 Terre Haute North 7 (8:32, 2nd) South was their own worst enemy on THN's score. South was driving deep into THN territory when they threw a pick which was returned past midfield and then they committed two PF penalties which helped set up the Patriots' score. THN score was on a 10 yard pass play.
  25. Bloomington North 14 Terre Haute South 0 (2:46, 1st)
