  1. Bloomington South 14 Terre Haute North 0 (3:43, 1st) Che Hogue scores for South on a 12 yard run. South has scored on their first two possessions of the game.
  2. Bloomington North 7 Terre Haute South 0 (6:35, 1st)
  3. Bloomington South 7 Terre Haute North 0 (8:24, 1st) THN was forced to punt on a three and out on the games opening drive and then South drove 78 yards for the games first score.
  4. FWIW, I see that these numbers are for grades 9 through 11 whereas the current numbers posted before it on the current enrollment of the bigger Marion County and the doughnut county schools are for grades 9 through 12. Regardless, it shows the effect of the overflow of Indy area population into those school districts. Many of the those schools use to be quiet rural schools with fairly low enrollments before the mass exodus of people from Indy over the last 20-30 years.
  5. North certainly has an offense that can put up numbers, but as you alluded to, their defense looks kind of shaky early on. They gave up almost 500 yards of total offense to BNL last Friday and that included a 68 yard run, 68 yard pass, and a 77 yard pass that were all TDs.
  6. I saw that the state of Ohio has opened an investigation into the "school." It's also been reported that the coach of the team has an open arrest warrant somewhere. It's also been alleged by a parent of a former player that many of the kids on the team are 19 to 20 years old. We learned more about how Bishop Sycamore ended up playing on ESPN, and it's only getting shadier (awfulannouncing.com)
  7. It's good to see you back on the forum. I hadn't seen you on here for around a couple of seasons, but you indicated you had a couple of stressful years so that explains why. You are correct about the McCullough brothers as they have had a big impact in the first couple of games, especially with the defense all but new personnel-wise. I haven't seen them in person, but supposedly the O-line has beefed up and has improved which needless to say is a key area of improvement. Early on, it looks like South, North, and CN will be battling it out for the conference crown. Southport, along with both of the TH schools, don't look competitive at all early on.
  8. Maybe this belongs under the Hoosier Hills Conference post, but if not the Olympians winning the HHC, then who would? You have obviously been really critical of the Olympians and for good reason, but I have trouble coming up with a team that will come out on top in that conference if it's not East.
  9. Yeah, I've seen your concerns over their offense; but trying to get a handle on who will come out on top in the HHC looks like a big puzzle right now and it may take another couple of games to get some type of handle on it. Because of their rep, I will stick with CE coming out on top until they prove me wrong. BTW, what is the primary weakness of CE's offense right now, O-line or QB play?
  10. Considering they returned a lot of starters off of a decent but not great team last season, I thought they would be more competitive this season, but like others have pointed out, the Bulldogs can't play defense. Since it was game one of a new season, I didn't know if New Albany's play against South was an aberration or not, but obviously it wasn't. They had a lot of preseason hype down around the river, but have been blown out two straight weeks and are probably looking forward to HHC play with the exception of their game with CE.
  11. Bloomington North 55 Bedford NL 34 (final)
  12. Bloomington North 55 Bedford NL 34 (2:22, 4th) North scores to deny BNL any chance of coming back in this game.
  13. Bloomington South 45 Martinsville 20 (final) South forced five first half turnovers. South did not have a runner go for over 100 yards last season, but Che Hogue ran for 135 yards tonight and 150 yards last week to make it two weeks in a row going over that mark.
  14. Bloomington North 48 Bedford NL 34 (10:17, 4th) BNL scores to tighten up a game that looked like they were completely out of it.
  15. Bloomington South 45 Martinsville 20 (2:20, 4th) The Arties score as South inserts several backups on defense.
  16. Bloomington South 45 Martinsville 13 (7:35, 4th) Martinsville successfully recovered an on-side kick on South's 33 yard line, but South held on downs and then scored quickly which was aided by a 48 yard pass play.
  17. Bloomington North 48 Bedford NL 27 (2:39, 3rd) BNL scored on a 77 yard pass play. North has given up a 68 yard run, 68 yard pass play, and now a 77 yard pass play tonight all for scores. Sounds like they have had some defensive lapses to say the least.
  18. Bloomington South 38 Martinsville 13 (9:14, 4th) On the first play after South's score, the Panthers let an Arties receiver get behind them on busted coverage and Martinsville scored on an 89 yard pass play.
  19. Bloomington South 38 Martinsville 6 (9:34, 4th) South had a nice drive that carried over from the 3rd to answer the Arties' score.
  20. Bloomington South 31 Martinsville 6 (end of 3rd) South will have the ball near the 50 yard line to start the 4th.
  21. Bloomington North 41 Bedford NL 20 (10:28, 3rd) BNL scored on a drive to open the 2nd half.
  22. Bloomington South 31 Martinsville 6 (2:51, 3rd) Martinsville had their best drive of the game going 79 yards for a score. A South penalty on 4th down helped keep the drive going. (PAT blocked)
  23. Bloomington South 31 Martinsville 0 (9:00, 3rd) South took the 2nd half kickoff and drove the ball downfield quickly to the Arties' 2 yard line, but a motion penalty pushed the ball back and South ended up kicking a 25 yard FG.
  24. Bloomington North 41 Bedford NL 13 (half)
  25. Bloomington North 34 Bedford NL 13 (1:57, 2nd)
