What is their style of play? Are they a line up and pound the rock kind of team?

BNL Floyd East JC

New Pal has a great program. And it says their enrollment is around "1200?" Is that correct? What is it about New Palestine that makes them this good? Is it just Kyle Ralph? Curious question.

I hate to hear that. I have a buddy on their coaching staff, I just didn't wanna ask a bunch of questions like that to him. I like Tyson Moore a lot. Dude is a good coach that has gotten more out of Seymour than any other the coach the past 20 years. Seymour's 8th grade did beat our 8th grade Highland Hills team which is no slouch.

I was suprised at how small Seymour's roster is. I would say Floyd Central outnumbered them 2 to 1. That's a growing school. What happened?

It's always cool to see a small town have a guy like this. Gets the community excited. This kid is probably playing his way into a scholarship to a MAC school. Good for him.

What's happening up there? Are they all going to Columbus North.

They can still win a shootout. Villarreal can be dangerous. He has a lot of experience. You guys have some big lineman too.

I keep thinking about this HHC race. As you guys know, I want my Highlanders to win that crown. Im also a guy who likes Southern Indiana football. I have watched some of BNLs games on Youtube. That's a really solid team. They can really pass the ball and they do it quickly. Dayson Kirby leads the state in passing with 1200+ yards. I'm not joking. In 3 games! They have 3 WRs. Gilbert, Goodman, and Kern who are all in the top 40 of WRs in the state. Their OL does a good job protecting him. I'm not discounting East, because they've played a lot harder schedule than BNL or Floyd has so far, but I definitely think that Floyd vs BNL could be a big time game. Jack Mull himself is 19th in the state in passing with 720 yds and that's coming off of a broken wrist this May and he couldn't throw much this summer. I think they're fairly deep at WR but he goes to Jaxon Stone a lot who has 16 catches for 387 yds which is 7th in the state. Sebastian Robertson is 37th in rushing, averaging over 100 yds a game. Also, Donovan Taylor is tied for 2nd in the state with 3 Ints. And their K Owen Gerlach is 2nd in K scoring. I cannot wait for this game next month. Gonna be awesome. I don't know much about Easts team other than they brought a lot back and are probably still capable of winning the conference crown.

I assume you mean BNL in tier 1. I don't how it's gonna shake out. Floyd Central has blowout wins over 2 bad teams. We lost at Whiteland but played very well from the 2nd qtr on. You can't fumble 3 times in the first qtr inside your own 30 and beat good teams on the road. FC fumbled on the first play of the game. Then fumbled the kick return. Then fumbled the first punt return they had.

Columbus East Bedford North Lawrence Floyd Central Kokomo I think NA has only won "1" regional? Is that right? FC has never won one.

Yall missed this board so bad you even missed me. 😆. JK. Hope all is well. I've been enjoying the season so far. My biggest suprise is BNL. They look good. QB is dangerous. Looking forward to the game down here. I have a question for Impartial Observer. We had a crazy thing happen Friday. The Marching band had some technical audio difficulties. They started about 5 minutes late. So they obviously played 5 minutes over. Silver Creek and Floyd's kids waited and then eventually Floyd's kids took the field while they were still playing. They got a 15 yard delay of game penalty. I was told coach Bragg could've been ejected if the players didn't take the field? What is the actual rule on this? How should that be handled?

Yeah I don't see us beating Bowling Green. Heck, they beat Trinity sometimes.

I think we are in good shape, but it's hard to tell anything from a scrimmage against Charlestown who has a brand new HC. We definitely look bigger this season. DTs are huge. A couple of guys who didn't play last season, 1 due to transfer and 1 due to injury. Donovan Taylor WR/CB and Luke Jacobi RB. Probably the two fastest guys on the team. They could be fun. I definitely want to see how the team does up at Whiteland next week who has 37 Seniors and 18 returning starters. That team might be tremendous.

They have some athletes from what I've read. Graduated one of the best players they've ever had. Leading passer, rusher, tackler, punter, kicker. I guess FC should be fortunate he's not on the field this season.

This is probably Floyd Centrals first real opportunity in a while to get an opening win. The KY team they're playing isn't anywhere close to Male or St X as far as quality. I've got us at 7-2 this season, losing AT Whiteland and AT Columbus East, both of which have very strong SR classes. FC will rely heavily on their JR class and they should be some kind of post-season contender next season and maybe this season depending on how good Castle is.

I hate it. My daughter attends Salem so I want to see them do really well. Coach Glesing is a hell of a coach and person, it's unfortunate that he had to retire for health reasons but I wish him the very best in his battle and he's in my prayers.

What's the analysis of this conference this season? Obviously I know what my community has. I expect Columbus East to be pretty good because it's Columbus East. I've heard some good things about Jeffersonville coming off of a 6-5 season. Having AJ Moye as the AD might be good for them. New Albany seems to be in year 4 of a rebuild. I don't really know anything about the Hwy 50 schools? BNL, SHS, JC. Seymour has been decent recently so I would think they'll be alright.

I saw this written about a Jennings County football player on Facebook. Thought I would share it. It's pretty cool. Proud moment today from the 1st Day of School! Panther Football Standards = make a difference on, and more importantly, off the field. We received this message today about Football Player Jr. Gomie Gomez. "During A-Lunch, Gomie Gomez, a junior at JCHS, was seen moving around the cafeteria after finishing his meal. Instead of sticking with his usual group, he made a point to approach students sitting alone or students he didn’t know—introducing himself, asking about their day, and finding out what their favorite classes and teachers were." Great job Gomie! Making a difference in others first day of school in a positive way! All Panther Football players - follow Gomie's lead. Set the tone for the whole school for the new school year! Great job again Gomie! I hope Jennings County has a winning record this season. No community in this conference deserves it more.

Turf is down at FC. They are now practicing on it. Scoreboard is new as well. Apparently that's a video board on top of it.

He's ridiculous. You don't play football at Ole Miss if you aren't a tremendous athlete. Lane Kiffin got him a good one for next year.
