I’m not sure about “starters” but Webo has a lot of guys back that I thought were really good players last year. In particular #16 Wethington. Kid was an animal on both sides of the ball. I think this will be the best game of the weekend and that Wright makes a play with his arm late to get Webo back to back Titles. Wouldn’t be surprised to see Eastbrook win though. So well coached!

They kicked extra points against us week 4 this year and were 4-4 doing so. Not sure if their kicker got hurt or they felt they could just get the 2 the majority of the time.

Should be! Eastbrook will still be good as well. #47 is an animal and I think I saw he was just a sophomore. #22 is a good player too and is back. Plus you factor in how well coached they are as well. Should be a battle next year. Not sure what other teams in the sectional return.

That kid’s ankle was pointing the wrong way. Tough to watch. Haven’t heard any news on him yet. Lyons was an All state player last year as a sophomore and was having a great season but tore his labrum mid season. Decided to go ahead and play with it and have surgery after the season. He still had a good year but not as good as it could’ve been if he was healthy. Hope to see him completely healthy next year. As for he game, it was a really good, physical game! Eastbrook got a huge stop on 4th and 2 mid 3rd quarter that was kind of the momentum shift. Tipton showed their youth late in the game with penalties and turnovers. Would have liked to see how the game went with our starting QB. Felt we had guys wide open down field all night. We delivered a few but several we didn’t. Unfortunately, our starting QB would more than likely have been back next week so it’s too bad this game was round 2 and not the sectional championship. Nearly the entire team is back next year. Time to get to work in the off-season! Best of luck to Eastbrook the rest of the way. I would love to see Eastbrook and either Cass or Rensselaer in the semi state.

At one time there was a lot of us. Not so much anymore. Anyways who are some key players to look for Friday?

I think I’m the only Tipton guy that posts anymore. I don’t really remember any Tipton people talking smack outside of one guy 7-8 years ago but I could be wrong. I won’t be talking smack. We had a very good team last year that gave the state champ all they could handle and came up a little short. Only 3 varsity guys are back from that team. 2 of them are still just Juniors this year. Everyone knows Friday is an uphill battle. I do know that our kids will be very well prepared and ready to play. If that’s not enough, then tip your cap to Eastbrook and get to work on next year which could be a special year.

Tipton at Eastbrook Hope my young Blue Devils come to play. They have shown signs of being a really good team and then other times you say “we are a year away.” Most games Tipton has been a really physical team so hopefully Friday is one of those games. Hoping to hear good news on the injury report ahead of the game Friday. Looking forward to the trip to Eastbrook. I haven’t been there since the turf has been added. Eastern at Alexandria Despite Eastern’s weak schedule, I think they showed that they’re a good team by beating a good Lapel team. Also to be down with 1:15 to go and drive the length of the field to win is pretty impressive. I don’t know a whole lot about Alex other than they have a nice passing game and can put up some points. Going to be a cold Friday night. Hoping for another great night of Hs football.

Round 1 results: Tipton 58 Frankton 6 This one was over really quick. 38-0 at half and running clock the whole second half. Eastbrook 42 Blackford 13 Game was 7-6 early on and then Eastbrook dominated the rest of the way Alexandria 52 Elwood 7 Elwood scored an early TD but Alex dominated the rest of the way. Eastern 34 Lapel 31 Lapel took the lead with 1:15 to go and Eastern went the length of the field to win the game with 6 seconds left
