I didn’t mean it as they didn’t have good balance last year. Just seem to use more guys this year. Last year they had 4 guys with 5 carries or more a game. This year they have 5 guys with 5 carries or more a game and another kid with over 200 yards and 11 yards per carry. Just seems like it’s a new kid with a big game for them this year. They’re always very balanced as far as running the ball goes though.

Eastbrook stats: Passing 2020- 96 ypg 5.8 attempts Passing 2019- 39.8 ypg 4.1 attempts Rushing 2020- 282 ypg Rushing 2019- 301.4 ypg Engle Rushing- 23 ypg Bragg Rushing- 52 ypg Eastbrook definitely throws the ball more and with better success this year. Seems QB last year was more involved in run game though. Run game is pretty much equal but more spread out this year.

Weird comment but I just asked him and he said that is not true. Engle however did attend Tipton until he transferred to Western. That is a fact.

Didn’t realize he was playing defense as well. LB or Safety I assume?

Jett is a good player. He was at Tipton in MS and then transferred to Western who is in our conference so our team knows him well. Not sure he’s the runner Bragg was but he’s a better passer for sure.

No doubt I think we are due. Last year we played with Eastbrook for most the games but not a lot of people thought Tipton would win especially with their QB out. We broke in 16 new starters from the year before. Now basically everyone returns from last year outside of the injured players this year. Not sure on how this game will go but I do know this team this year is much better than the team a year ago. I also know the staff will have a great game plan and the kids will bring it. I think it probably comes down to the 4th quarter again and hopefully we make the big plays this time.

That would not be good for us. Luckily as of now they are calling for no rain and not much wind. A lot can change before Friday though.

Agree on both these analysis. I think Eastern/Lapel will be a one score game either way. Tipton will need to get off to a quick start. Eastbrook is not a team you want to get behind with their ability to move the chains and keep the clock moving.

I’m not sure what to expect. I do know I would feel much more confident if Jayvin Lyons was playing. Defense was supposed to be very very good this year but losing Lyons as well as several other starters for the season has hurt. I do think guys have stepped up and done the best of their ability. Offensively sophomore Eli Carter has stepped up at RB in Lyons place very nicely. He’s a kid that can take it to the house any time he touches it. Passing game has been great. Our Qb was injured and couldn’t play against Eastbrook last season so it is nice to have him back. The key imo is pass blocking. If we give Edwards time, we should have success. Defensively just have to stay disciplined against that offense which is not easy to do.
