  1. Luers is LOADED. They will be tough to beat. Sectional 36 is loaded as well with Tipton, Eastbrook, and Lapel. All should be top 10 teams. Eastern lost a lot but will probably still be solid as well.
  2. Fortunately we have some buyers. Hopefully not closed for long.
  3. Tipton has a really nice core back next season. Biggest hole is at QB but we have a sophomore to be that I think will be up for the challenge. 4/5 of the OL will return as well as 1,000 yard rusher Carter and Powell at WR with over 500 yards. Defense should be stout again especially the front 7. Replacing Pearce at WR/S will be tough but should have some guys ready to step up. Heights is on the upswing in my opinion. They have a really good sophomore group(Juniors next year). Griffey is back at QB, Tuma at Wr and Ehman at RB. After improving quite a bit this year, I think they’ll take another step next year. Gonzoron’s boy is gonna be a good one! Western will probably take a step back after losing this loaded senior class but they’ll still have some dudes and should still be solid. Northwestern will be breaking in a new coach again but not sure we see much improvement from them. Cass should be much improved in year 2 of Mannering but not sure they have the talent they are accustomed to.
  4. 2 Point Games Westfield vs Center Grove Zionsville vs Cathedral 3 Point Games Chatard vs Danville Hobart vs Roncalli 5 Point Games Fort Wayne Luers vs Western Boone South Adams vs Covenant Christian
  5. Luers had several drops including a walk in TD early in the game and 2 lost fumbles that helped dig them a whole but man can that offense score in a hurry. I fully expect them to win another State Title next weekend.
  6. 2 Point Games Westfield @ Merrillville Mater Dei @ Western Boone 3 Point Games Valpo @ Zionsville Marion @ Hobart Mooresville @ Roncalli Danville @ Southridge Pioneer @ Luers Mater Dei @ Western Boone South Adams @ LCC Covenant Christian @ West Washington
  7. Should be a good game. Pioneer better be able to cover or get pressure because the Luers QB is the real deal! Ton of speed and weapons too. I do think Pioneer will move the ball on them. Could be a shootout.
  8. Congrats to Luers on the win. Speed kills. Your QB is the real deal too. Best of luck against Pioneer.
  9. Luers pass game is lethal. Luers 36 Tipton 10 :31 left in 3rd
  10. Edwards 19 yard TD to Pearce Luers 30 Tipton 10 3:55 left in 3rd
  11. Luers 30 Tipton 3 mid 3rd I don’t see anyone touching Luers in 2A next year. They are all Juniors!
  12. Tipton is moving the ball just not finishing drives and the 2 interceptions were killers. Luers scored on short fields on both. Tipton can get back in it but needs to have a great 3rd quarter to have a chance.
  13. Interception leads to a Luers TD as time expires in the first quarter. Luers 7 Tipton 0 start of 2nd
  14. There’s no doubt. I miss Purple Nurple. Good dude! I’m honestly not sure what to expect as far as the game goes. Our strength seems to also be Luers strength as well. Could come down to ball security or special teams.
  15. Surprised this thread is so quiet. It seemed the Luers-Tipton threads 8-10 years ago had like 10 pages apiece. Any thoughts on this one?
  16. Tipton QB Sam Edwards was offered by D2 Central State University last night. Sam has made a huge improvement from last year and is a big reason Tipton is still playing. They’re not overly big but have good speed. QB is good but not real mobile. If you let him sit back there with no pressure he will pick you apart. Sophomore WR Deinhart really impressed me this year. They have a couple other solid receivers as well.
  17. 2 POINT GAMES Merrillville @ Elkhart Carmel @ Ben Davis Mishawaka @ Valparaiso Fort Wayne Dwenger @ Zionsville Marion @ East Noble Roncalli @ Mount Vernon Mooresville @ Evansville Central Fort Wayne Bishop Luers @ Tipton Western Boone @ Heritage Christian Triton Central @ Evansville Mater Dei Andrean @ Pioneer Lafayette Central Catholic @ Winamac South Adams @ Southwood South Putnam @ Covenant Christian West Washington @ North Decatur
  18. Unfortunately #20 Lyons who was a Jr. All State kid tore his ACL and is out for the season. Sophomore Eli Carter has filled in nicely as he just went over 1,000 yards. Miss Lyons on defense though. The strength of Tipton’s team in my opinion is its Receivers. 4-5 kids that are big time playmakers. Looking forward to seeing what this Luers team has but I’m guessing like usual they have speed, speed, speed.
  19. I wouldn’t say Tipton struggled. They were in control and Lapel scored a late TD to make it 28-20. Now I will say, Tipton wasn’t as sharp last night but that was to be expected after knocking off the #2 team the week before. There’s no doubt Tipton will have its hands full with Luers. Looking forward to Friday night!
