  1. Last years game was not decided until the last quarter. When south couldn’t stop New Albany’s running back. south has definitely beefed up, but Albany has a lot of returning starters. This should be a good gauge game for both.
  2. Aah, the good old defense wins games ,monicker.
  3. So do you even give South a 50% chance? On home turf. 2 four star move ins.
  4. You would think. But..............
  5. New albany beat South last year in the opener. It is at Bloomington Friday. Albany also beat Jeff in the regular season then lost to them in the sectional. I'm curious ly watchin what south does this year. Second year for this coach.
  6. I don’t know? Warrior may have an inside! The coach may have a surprise or two for the state champs. Hard to believe IU could beat Wisconsin penn state and Michigan in the same year. Or the Jets beating Colts in SB III. People have short memories, about the history of Warren central .
  7. A very down to earth speaker. I can see how well it translates into good vibes with his assistant coaches and players alike. They should continue to be successful.
  8. An aside, one of the great volleyball coaches in the US , Arnie Ball, Olympic and college ,got his start at New Haven High. In the early 70’s. Then in about ‘73 moved over to the new EAST Allen school, Paul Harding as baseball coach. Then started the club volleyball program. I think they lived i Woodburn at the time. I know Bob Knight recruited the Ball’s for Basketball, pretty aggressively in the 80’s. Was his Son Lloy, who chose Volleyball, over Indiana. Both dad and some are legends in the sport, in a state that is ignorant of the popularity volleyball carries.
  9. Hope you are right, but I tend to agree some what with DT.
  10. I liked the paragraph that started with, “How about this alternative?” Amen.
  11. He is right, EC seems to always be a tough team every weekend. Win or lose, there opponents know that they were in a game. They seem to feed off of the Cincinnati aura of football.
  12. Sh..! Not this all over again. Man
  13. For me,I think the interviews erased the persona that fans like myself, not tight with a particular program, may have had of a particular coach and his program , and replaced it with real dialogue for us to discern.
  14. Again , good luck this year. I will hold back what I’m thinking as the program goes. Hope they hammer on to The oil can.
  15. Well, I guess the jury will be out until November, for this team. Hope they snap back into contention.
  16. By the way, I can read better when the answers are right after each question.
  17. The man has it figured out, very relaxed. And you can be when you organize and prepare as they do. As far as the success factor, he has a valid point. I think no team should ever bump to 6a, and never have to bump more than 1 class, from your enrollment class.
  18. Home of Doc Bowen one of Indiana’s great legislators.
  19. I don’t know anything about him but this guy can be successful in any class he wants to coach. Last paragraph, gives you a hint.
  20. Man, his teams were tough to beat. I remember Bill Mallory taking a decent team to a bowl game against Florida State and getting pretty well dominated in all phases of the game
  21. I like his answer to question 5, adapting his schemes to his personnel. Although I think this is imperative to having a championship caliber team, how many dont do this? And are they ever really successful as far as winning championships?
