  1. Well spoken with great demeanor. I can see why the athletes respond to this coach. All other reasons for their success aside.
  2. Oh I agree, no way around it, 2 ,four star players. But I’m here, And the football aura is gone in this area. They will be good, and have a winning record. They may never replicate the state championships era again. Coaches aside. Them days are over
  3. Gabe has a good assistant coach resume. would be nice to see him parlay that into head coach success. Bloomington is not the talent rich community it once was 15 years ago.
  4. Answer to number 9, alone. should of had two pages of comments by now, on this site. I can see both sides to the success factor. But coach is not wrong, when he says that it penalizes success.
  5. I'll have to admit ,you would think these clowns around here would have more to say, yes. Not often do posters , on this site ,get this kind of inside looks at programs and coaches. And from all over the state. These interviews are priceless for Indiana football fans.
  6. This sounds familiar, student participation, in urban schools. Todd seems dedicated.
  7. This guy is a coach! Good interview. He’s going to beat Dwenger one day. Hope the big schools don’t see this interview. He will be gone from Angola
  8. I understand that the 22nd pick over all will pay in the vicinity of $3.5 million this year. Um….? This kind of stuns me.
  9. Not so sure about this coach ,and his talking head responses to the well thought out questions. Sounded like he was interviewing for a job. I smell a rat. I could be mistaken.
  10. Just Eastern Illinois? Tony Romo’s and Sean Payton’s alma mater?
  11. Nice to finally get some more of the local Indiana talent to stay in state. Never too many linemen for a great football team.
  12. I’m just happy to sit in row 17 section 5 and enjoy big ten football on Saturday. If Indiana knocks off PS, or OS, or Mich. great. Otherwise I’m still all for what’s going on. As was I with Wilson. 7 wins and bowl victory.
  13. I’ll take7 wins every year. And a bowl win. Be perfectly content with Allen.
  14. I will restate , they have made improvements each year. It is a pipe dream to win a bowl. Don’t think it isn’t. This will be the measuring stick for coach Allen this year. And at the end of the day ,it will take away the progress Tom Allen has made. If they don’t win a bowl.
  15. I’m anxious to see how the next season plays out. Indiana is not there yet.The jury is still out on whether Indiana can parlay the recruiting ,into a season that ends with a bowl victory. This has to be the next step to validate Allen , as a program builder. Seems like , for the last four to six years, everyone thinks it’s the season to break through. And then no cigar. Not that there aren’t improvements each year, in my evaluation.
  16. So, what other sports do golf participants, participate in? In high school. Curious
  17. Sure, but the good coaches, who can adjust, still produce. Have winning seasons.
  18. This is why some programs never come out of mediocracy. Coaches who can’t adjust. And there are several.
  19. Outlandish! That is one of the nicest things I’ve heard people say about DT. Funny, I have nothing but respect for DT. Outlandish or not. First Day!
  20. Successful coaches, who don’t ,or haven’t had the unlimited talent pool of certain programs ,always tweak their schemes to take advantage of the resources (students) that come out to play. In my area,Two very successful coaches come to mind, who no longer coach are, ex Columbus East coach and ex Bloomington south coach.
