  1. He is right, EC seems to always be a tough team every weekend. Win or lose, there opponents know that they were in a game. They seem to feed off of the Cincinnati aura of football.
  2. For me,I think the interviews erased the persona that fans like myself, not tight with a particular program, may have had of a particular coach and his program , and replaced it with real dialogue for us to discern.
  3. Again , good luck this year. I will hold back what I’m thinking as the program goes. Hope they hammer on to The oil can.
  4. Well, I guess the jury will be out until November, for this team. Hope they snap back into contention.
  5. By the way, I can read better when the answers are right after each question.
  6. The man has it figured out, very relaxed. And you can be when you organize and prepare as they do. As far as the success factor, he has a valid point. I think no team should ever bump to 6a, and never have to bump more than 1 class, from your enrollment class.
  7. I don’t know anything about him but this guy can be successful in any class he wants to coach. Last paragraph, gives you a hint.
  8. Man, his teams were tough to beat. I remember Bill Mallory taking a decent team to a bowl game against Florida State and getting pretty well dominated in all phases of the game
  9. I like his answer to question 5, adapting his schemes to his personnel. Although I think this is imperative to having a championship caliber team, how many dont do this? And are they ever really successful as far as winning championships?
  10. The line for Indiana is 7 1/2 wins this year. With a healthy QB I could win some money. And conversely. ? Man the quarterback situation seems to be the Achilles heel for the Hoosiers. After the starter, production goes to the dogs. But maybe not.
  11. Seems dedicated to the program.. and in it for the long haul. Hope he has success.
  12. Also for this Bloomington south team, move ins aside, I don’t see how they are in the top 10 mix. QB will be a big question.
  13. Man it gets tougher at all he top. And his concerns with getting ready for a new season, working with college coaches to help shore up his defensive schemes. A real contrast from some of the other coaches we’ve been hearing from. They may have something for “The Grove” this year. Also , again, the success factor. So far every coach has at least one negative comment. But one tweak I will toss out there I think would really be far reaching is, no schools can be bumped up to 6a.
  14. He seems low key, and all business. Hope he has the success to go with his philosophy.
  15. Or he could have become a “preferred walk”on victim. Glad to see the Jackrabbits pluck a cherry from Indiana.
  16. Under: others receiving votes I’m curious to see if the other Bloomington school can break out of Bloomington South’s shadow. Coach Bless has a great offense coming back and if the D can produce, I’m not counting the cougars out of the sectional title game.
  17. Ok then, we got that out of the way. Anything positive from this interview?
  18. I’m not sure north will have too many guys going both ways. But still no contest.
  19. Explain, Einstein. We’re at your mercy. 🙏
