Every New Haven fan I have met including you thinks they are the best thing since sliced bread
Lol, lol, lol, I’m liking you more and more. I think we could be buddies. Are you old enough to drink beer yet? I’ll be in Auburn in a week or so, we could meet up, and it’s on me.
By the way I’m really a pretty nice guy! -
Win or lose , I just hope The injury bug eludes Indiana in this game. Regardless of the out come ,The Hoosiers have a chance to have a tremendous season, barring injuries to key players. Depth is still thin in several positions and could devastate the remainder of the season.

If you want South Side and Wayne to gain and extra victory every year while watching Snider, Homestead and Carroll mercy rule them in the 1st half, then yes they would be a great addition. At this point adding New Haven would be as beneficial as adding Prairie Heights.
There you go again, what has New Haven done to you guys ,to invoke such spite .
Im with BLKnights here, if brought in to the SAC, The mighty Bulldogs might attack a decent coach. Would be a nice 4a addition to the conference.- 1

there are 4 state championships in the last 5 years.
After (THIS )year there will be 2 (TWO)state champs in the last 5 years, (see the trend), after next year there will be 1 (one) state champ in the last 5 years(see the trend).
Yea, regional winners.
When arguably the best team in the conference Dwenger gets its walking papers from a 5-5 team, and the best 6a team in the conference gets (I don’t know what you would call that beat down) I guess I just did beat down. Ahh, forgot Concordia Cadets.
See the trend. “I see said the blind man”- 1

Weird year to say the least. Biggest thing is that the OHSAA finals are the weekend before the IHSAA instead of the weekend after. For the Ohio representatives in the area:
D4-Van Wert Cougars
D6-Coldwater Cavaliers
D7- New Bremen Cardinals
As for the Indiana teams in semi state:
4A-Marion
2A-Bishop Luers
1A-South Adams Starfires
Hoping we get 3x State Champs and 3x Going to State finals! If we don't, it was still a great season for all these teams and many others getting through COVID the best they could!
If I’m not mistaken, Woodland would have an annual game with a NW Ohio team. When Haydock coached the Woodburn team.
And was always curious why that wasn’t done more back in the NEIC days. Even more so with basketball. Short travel across the border. -

Most discussions are much more entertaining than what this game is going to be. Irish are going to boat race Castle. I would be shocked if it was less than a 40 point game.
Lol you won’t get any argument from me on the results of this game. I think another in 6a will be the same. Hard to watch unless you have ties to the teams.

At the highest level, there is not much difference between 3A and 5A football.
In my view, we really are watching 3 primary levels of high school football in Indiana split into 6 classes.
Class 1 1A/2A
Class 2 3A/4A/5A
Class 3 6A
Seems this way. With out an in depth look.

That’s become quite clear.
Sorry Bob, that you want to eliminate ,that excitement of earning a chance to have a home field semi state game. “Vanilla” seems to be your mantra. That is pretty clear

I believe you're in the minority. There's nothing more exciting than the atmosphere of a home crowd, especially during big games. Why would you want to take that away? Because of "fairness"? Maybe we can give everyone a trophy too! As a player, coach or fan, I've never blamed a loss on being the away team. We should make EVERY playoff game at a neutral site... In the name of fairness.
Let’s just hope he’s in the minority here, there are some loose minded opinions on here.
I can’t imagine taking an exciting element , home field, out of high school football.
And to top that off , to say these winning teams “earned nothing” ? I don’t know where to begin.- 1

Nice, going to school in New Haven in the late 60’s we spent a lot of time in the western part of Ohio, being 20 minutes away. Van wert county fair was the biggest in the in the area. Nice drag strip there. But the big attraction was the beer! 18 was the age limit. All of us looked 18, and Sunday sales. 50 years later indiana allowed Sunday sales. But yes, small communities in western Ohio but great football. ,

"Big Brother in the east" doesn't quite fit if the best win they have in years is over a 1A school playing in 2A. Also losing to the worst team in the SAC doesn't help their cause either.
Why do much hate for the Mighty Bulldogs?
We know, here on the GID, the SAC is Down trending, but man stop taking it out, your frustrations, on New Haven!
They have never been good , and never have had any good coaching for 50 or so years. So you ragging on them is pathetic.
Before long the SAC will be with the “DOG’S” to the East. LOL 😂 -

Thanks. We did our best.
No issues on the field.....just one guy losing his mind (in the stands) and being REALLY loud.
Also, no disrespect to Marion...but we were honestly shocked that EN didn't turn their early momentum in the 2nd half into a lead.
I am NOW and always have been impressed with Coach (Luke) Amstutz. He knows his stuff....Did it at Carroll (assistant), absolutely did it at Angola! And is ALWAYS doing it at EN..
As for the Giants, good luck this week at Hobart. Always a great locale to play at. Should be a great game also!
Luke Amstutz is a real asset to indiana football.

You can't "earn" a home game, since there is nothing you can do to influence who gets a home game.
You CAN earn a chance to host a home game, by winning. Losers don’t get that chance.
I agree all 4 are proud, and earned ,by Winning ,the chance to host a game.
1 hour ago, Bobref said:If it's OK that the other two are just proud they got this far, why can't all 4 of them be proud they got this far at a neutral game sit

7 Hours of travel for likely a 90 minute game. I imagine only parents are that committed for this one. That said, I believe a couple busses of parents are making the trek.
Indy to Castle? 21/2 hrs one way should cover. With 1 stop maybe 23/4 hrs. 51/2 - 6 total at most. Easy 4 lane driving

Beautiful time of the year to travel down SR-37 and I-69... God's Country, I tell ya!
BTW: As someone who hasn't been in Indiana in two years, but will be in a month (for a holiday visit) -- how far north has the I-69/SR-37 project progressed? Does it still basically end at Martinsville?
If I come from Jasper, I'll take US 231 to I-69, but if coming from Santa Claus, it'll be I-64 to I-65 (hopefully no construction around Louisville/Jeffersonville).
I-69ends at martinsville, still

(So 4 teams in each class have "earned" the right to host a semistate, but only two will get to host one? Doesn't that "take away community pride and accomplishment," too? )
WHY ARE YOU So NEGATIVE? YOU ARE RIGHT,TWO TEAMS OUT OF THE ENTIRE CLASS EARNED THE RIGHT TO HOST, AND NO THIS DOESN’T TAKEAWAY COMMUNITY PRIDE,THE OTHER TWO ARE PROUD THEY GOT THIS FAR.(What if a team gets a regional championship because the opponent got "Covided" )WHAT IF WHAT IF(The reality is that with the total randomness involved in the draw )THIS IS NOT TOTAL RANDOMNESS, WHEN ONLY FOUR TEAMS , OUT OF THE ENTIRE CLASS EARNED THE CHANCE(nobody earns anything in our tournament ) DIDNT EARN ANYTHING? COME ON! NEGATIVE AGAIN!THESE FOUR TEAMS DID. OUT OF THEIR WHOLE CLASS. EARNED THE RIGHT TO AT LEAST PLAY ANOTHER GAME MAYBE ON THEIR OWN FIELD.(But this is the lamest argument against neutral semistate sites that I can imagine.)TOO BAD YOU WANT TOO TAKE THE HOME FIELD EXCITEMENT OUT OF HIGH-SCHOOL FOOTBALL.

No disrespect to Pioneer. They are consistently a very solid team. Will be a good game.
Just found it funny that a middle of the pack NE8 team was referred to BOTH as “the toughest team P has played” as well as “LITTLE SISTER TO THE EAST" in the same post.
“BIG BROTHER to the East” would seem to have been a more apt description.
LoL. love it! HaHa

No one will take the 6A schools in the SAC seriously until they take down the HCC/MIC in November...
Hell, being competitive would be a step in the right direction for the SAC big boys...
Its getting worse every year, but the cycle can trend up, being the 2nd largest populous urban area in the state, and hopefully give the central Indiana schools some competition.

That's 2 years in a row that the SAC Champ/Co Champ hasn't looked good against middle to cellar dwellar HCC Teams and then throw in Westfield dismantled Homestead. The HCC is heads and shoulder above everyone not named the MIC.

Yea the FW group that insists that the SAC is state tested and in an upward cycle.

Hobart , zionsville close game, Westfield.

Pioneer in this one, they are fearless. Not that Luers has anything to be scared of. Might be a heck of a game.
-
I’ll go with South Adams here. Because I like Decatur indiana, and have distant family, farmers, in Adams County.

This should end up a good game. Western Boone seems to be solid with their win last week. And as good programs usually do, perform when the money is on the line. The same can be said for Evansville, solid program. Toss up
